Paul, why not add this to the actual video, where it will be seen. Leaving it as a comment, albeit a pinned comment, isn’t really a visible way of alerting viewers to your mistake

In my experience there is no need to shorten the auto-turn off time for avoiding tv burn in with a stuck image: the "fireworks" screensaver will auto start after a few minutes of stuck image.

Just a quick thank you for this information. I was completely unaware of the plastic sheet on the back of the TV. Reviewing the instructions, I do not see it clearly stated on them which makes your video all the more valuable. I also agree with turning off auto updates as I would rather have a few real world testers before we experience the unexpected. Keep up the good work.

Hi Paul, thanks for your great video, I just on the middle of honeymoon with my new C2 48" just arrived a week ago and I have followed your suggestion to keep it on good shape. Nevertheless, I found some bugs when I use my Alexa Echo dot 4°gen giving order to the TV, for example, sometimes when Alexa turn on the TV, there is no image or when Alexa changes volume or open an application it indeed is opened but without any sound although I keep jump thru applications. I must turn off/on to get volume again. I have seen these problems only when I use Alexa for giving an order, on the other hand, when I connect my AV Yamaha 7.1 or my PS5 it works flowless and have not seen these errors only with Alexa voice control. Have you heard about these Alexa bugs by other users or how to solve them out or shall I send back the TV in garantee and get a new one? Thank you!

yeah I dont think it hurts. its the equivalent of the backlight on LED, I think. if anything it'll extend the life. in case anyone isnt aware, in the big picture an OLED is like a human, its literally starts dying from the moment its turned on. but im a bright person my self. like Def Leppard said "its better to burnout than to fade away" ha ha.

It seems like LG moved that Energy Saving setting in firmware 03.20.80. I saw older videos showing how to turn that off and just could not find it back. My Support top level menu had a lot less options than in those videos. Your video is the first one where I noticed that you also had to go much deeper in the menus to turn it off. Then later, I noticed you're also on 03.20.80.

@@AUA-camChannelwithNoName Oops ! My mistake, I meant to say LG, not Samsung. Probably because I was installing my new Samsung phone while replying :D. Corrected my post now.

Hi Paul. Is there a risk of burn in from playing games and static images being displayed for example maps, life/health indicator etc? They are on all the time. How often should automatic pixel refresh run or should run at all? Which LG Oled model is the best? I consider buying 42 or 48 inch only. Does lack of DTS surround really matters? Some old movies are DTS 5.1

I have a LG 65CX. I forgot to remove the protective plastic behind the TV. After a month of regular use horizontal withe lines appeared. Likely LG replace the panel for free. The technician said that the problem was probably due to the protective plastic. Greetings from Germany

I had a guy message me in the past saying that LG wanted to refuse a warranty claim due to it still being attached.
Luckily they fixed it as a good will gesture.

2 hours is like one film and if you look on series you could easy watch 4 hours. Individual, but r hours works mostly on my projector but sometimes i need to stop it from powering down so minimum 4h for me

I tried on vivid for like an hour watching a movie and my oled was so hot I could feel it just stand in front of the tv. Just removed the protective film at the back now.

Has there been a case of LG sending down a bad update? Most people recommend to leave it on. Logo brightness should be low. After these settings the biggest issue other than personal taste is to set the tv up for a bright room or a dark room. For me I want all the brightness I can get out of my LG.
