I've had the G2 for over a year now. Everyone who comes over say its the best tv they've ever seen. I loved it so much I ended up buying a 42 inch C2 as a desktop monitor. OLED is more expensive than a drug habit.
I didnt know this TV was out either. Literally bought my first OLED this last Friday and saw no G4 TVs in the showroom at Best Buy. But I just pulled up Amazon to look at the price and 4600 for the 77" G4 😱😱😱😱😱 yea I'm good😂😂😂😂 paid less than half that for my 77" S90C. Im fine with it even though I have zero doubt the G4 probably blows the doors off it
Wish that the G4 77" came with the same stand as the 55/65" G4. I can see the lean back of the display when the camera is face-on. Was the lean back less visible in real life and could it only been seen from the side? Most people buy the sturdy Sanus VSTV2 instead but the base is very large and does not fit on typical 40cm wide Ikea units.
I thought the G4 only came with the stand for 55 and 65 inch versions? And the stand is supposed to be a new design - that stand came with the G2 / G3.
I never understood the tv mounts that don’t pull out from the wall. I’d never install one. I like being able to gain good access to th I/o in the rear.

The G3 was great, but it wasn‘t the singular winner of 2023 reviews. It was very level with the Samsung S95C and each of the two had their strengths and weaknesses. The G3 was disappointing in terms of gradation and color brightness loss in game mode. The question is if the G4 can actually address these issues and make it the clear winner over the S95D this year which would be great since Samsung decided to go with a matte coating that disperses reflections and causes the entire picture to wash out while also generally slightly degrading image quality (see comparison by Classy Tech). I see the effort you put into this video and it‘s great that you give a proper general overview of what to expect from the G4, but you can still improve the image quality and gaming sections in the future with some more in-depth research. Hope that feedback is useful! 😊
@@Henke12 Damn, that was 2023 as well, you‘re right. With the whole „Sony is ditching OLED“ thing I somehow mistook it as a 2022 TV. For movie enthusiasts it 100% was the winner and for casual gaming it also works very well. For everyone somewhat serious about gaming it isn‘t a valid option though with its higher input lag and lack of HGiG support / the missing option to choose a hard-clip and properly calibrate games for best HDR impact.
I've read that the stand is only included with the 55" and 65" too. Kind of shitty LG expects us to spend an additional $200 on a stand for a $4500 TV. LG is the only brand I've ever heard of to not include a stand with their TV.
Oh, I like your accent. My LG G1 is still going strong, and I really like it. I bought a Creston 'conference' center (used) it does a phenomenal job on upconverting to 2160 p. I have the G2. LG knocked it out of the park with the last two generations. The G2 is already super bright, so I could imagine MLA on the G4.
G2 wasn’t that super bright only G3 made a huge leap in brightness
So the supplied stand & no gap wall bracket is going to be wasted.

As someone with a 65 C7, i think this is the year i'll be upgrading. Looking at the 83 as that sized has now been upgraded too.

For movie enthusiasts it 100% was the winner and for casual gaming it also works very well. For everyone somewhat serious about gaming it isn‘t a valid option though with its higher input lag and lack of HGiG support / the missing option to choose a hard-clip and properly calibrate games for best HDR impact.

Was the tv stand bought separately or was it included? I thought only up to the 65” came with the stand
I've read that the stand is only included with the 55" and 65" too. Kind of shitty LG expects us to spend an additional $200 on a stand for a $4500 TV. LG is the only brand I've ever heard of to not include a stand with their TV.

Oh, I like your accent. My LG G1 is still going strong, and I really like it. I bought a Creston 'conference' center (used) it does a phenomenal job on upconverting to 2160 p. Everything looks so clear and I have lots and lots of hdmi 2 ports. Thanks for posting this review. I like to see how different people review the same model of a tv brand. Keep up the good work.
