What is the name of the concrete fixing screws you used?
I would have left more gap between the post and waste pipe. Wood expands when it gets wet.
Thank you , great video ,wonderful step by step guide, awesome 😊🎉
Glad it was helpful!
Nice job. Would you ever use frame screws to fix the post? Drop of grease on the screws and they will all go in easy (and come out again one day) no probs, and no bits lost.
Nice tip using grease on the screw.
Good practical DIY information. Particularly like your summary at the end recapping on what was covered. Thanks
Thank you
Could have made that timber pad a bit thicker to get wrong the pipe neater, can’t stand it when gates are higher than the posts
Hi, where did you get the gate from?
So am I right in thinking only sawing were the two posts? Could that be done with a handsaw? When the gate latches, on the outside how can you open the gate when you're inside? I think I missed something. 🤔
yeah not the most practical setup, you would use a two way gate latch system if you wanted to gain access from both sides but in this case i would imagine the customer wasn't to bothered considering they wanted the old rusty bolt to be used on the new gate, the inside bolt is only used for locking up on a nighttime or when they are away from the property.
That fence is illegally fitted. The boundary posts - only use the facing of them NOT the middle like here.
Illegally? What crazy country do you live in where the government cares how your fit a gate?
It’s a bit squeaky
Thankyou for watching and your comments
It's a Great looking gate, but latch will stick. It's a terrible angle for the receiver and using a rusty old lock on a new gate?
The customer wanted to re-use the padlock as it was keyed alike to others around the property.
Ancient rusty bolt,, 🤣🤣🤣, not on my gate thanks,, they're about £3 for a new one,, 🤣
The customer is always tight, sorry meant right!
what was the size/length of the screws used through frame and wall without raw plugs?
7.5mm x 82mm Concrete Frame Screws
@@renovateinnovate thank you 😊👍
What size wood is this is? 4 x 4?
We used 4 x 2 timber
Nice and simple. Cheers
Thank you! Cheers!
