Son vendedores y ellos te convencen que te avientes por un barranco y allá abajo vas a encontrar a Dios en mi opinión los vendedores son los peores seres caminando por la tierra
2:35 to 2:40 you could see Avi go from happy to bargain with a friend to 'omg this guy isn't even budging, I thought we were friends, he's trying to rip me off and not see the deal I'm giving him' ... Great job posting this whole video for us! Really loved this one, great to see the uncut versions of the shorts/tiktok uploads, Thank you!! Can't wait for more!
I’ve always been incredibly uncomfortable with bartering, and this dude doesn’t really put in any education on gemstones. So I’m watching this with my very limited knowledge on diamonds specifically. (and obviously moissanite cubic syconium, etc..)
Love this content !! Long video format is better and very authentic as always. Nice that you show also failed deals. It would be nice to have an conclusion if the convention day and what you expected etc. Anyways keep going !!
Protect this man at all costs! Love seeing the relationships you have clearly built so strongly over years in the trade. Keep the vids coming brother! :)
Its amazing how much trust there is with this much value... eg its just taken as truth that there is no heat treatment. popping Emerald. Im surprised he doesnt do a more intense examination. Especially since its clearly treated "i suspect minor" in reference to oil. Then again we dont actually know if these trades were finalised or if its just a charade. Only an idiot would be buying these gems for these prices without extremely deep investigation & tests of the stone.
This is the job I want to learn and do. I've been a lover of gemstones my entire life but always been very poor .....which makes me crafty and I've been able to buy decent value gemstones very inexpensively and verify them....but I am not a seller because I'm not super familiar in the market...I'd love if people came to me with what they want and their price range/budget and I could hunt down and negotiate the best deal I can for them for the quality gemstones they want
It's nice the way even when they were too far apart to make a deal they reach that conclusion pretty quickly without trying to nickle and dime each other at all. Like you might expect in a failed negotiation done by amateur traders.
Living in Tuc-town is crazy, because aint shit here, except for a 3 month long world renowned gem show.... So like, cool I guess? Truth be told I've been talking MAD SHIT since I was young about oldies going to something as boring as a gem show, little did I know, they are a WONDERFUL place full of some highly intense negotiation which is just.... ugh, bestill my heart, love love love this shit.
That buy for the 1ct pair from your family was just smooth. That dude was chill af and more like "spit it out boy im gonna mazal anyways for once" haha
I would be so happy if u make a beginners guide video for people like me who are very interested in this but are afraid of losing money by buying something overpriced
Honestly, just buy lab grown. It's significantly cheaper and looks just as good to regular people. Nothing is lost going lab grown. There's no quick guide to what Avi is doing. He can only do it because he's spent years in the business learning every cut, about color, lighting, market priceses going up and down and good old fashioned salesmanship. SOme booths will legitimately not even negotiate with you because you don't own a business or you aren't a regular customer of theirs. They can spot a newbie just by how you handle yourself and what questions you ask. Buy lab grown if you must have a stone and set that. You'll be much happier.
@@tobbcittobbcit8899 People get into this industry by becoming apprentice to someone thats already on it. Trying to parachute yourself into it is just asking for trouble.

Man I didn’t know you were in Tucson and made most of your content from that gem show a couple weeks ago. I’ve seen all your videos just because I’m so interested in negotiating and gems too even though I wasn’t before! Happy to see your channel grow
Congrats on the viral success! This insight into the trade is crucial information not just for me but for everyone interested in gemstones. Crazy how much blood, horror and terror these gemstones been associated with and are now in the hands of pure greed. Lol! You can tell by the way these people behave during a conversation that they are greedy asf 😵💫. People should not get into this gem world without a mentor or money to loose. These people are like Mosqitos. But if you have experience like avi you can even smile when you are getting these disrespectful prices offered. Congrats. One of the only people that bring real value to the gemstone side of youtube.
I have worked in sales as a team leader, selling products to directors and business owners, ceo's etc. The world of gem selling looks amazing. I wish i knew where to start with it.
Somehow intriguing even though there's very little mention of the grading factors motivating the negotiations such as color, hue, tone, saturation, polish, symmetry, keel lines, facet junctions, etc., etc., only price and that he's saving for a wedding. LOL. You could probably say that buyers/sellers know each other so well that they know each others' qualifications and it's a level playing field......and this wasn't intended as a tutorial.
I remember my first time buying South Sea pearls at Greenhills the pearl dealer I was with told me I was a natural in matching, haggling & making a good deal.
I love gems. I have a nice Columbian pear emerald at 1.53 and a GIA 0.33 vvs2 triple excellent g color princess cut being made into a snake type ring in 14k white gold at the moment.
I just like seeing professional salesmen go at it. What fascinating behavior.
It's like a game to them 😂
It's wholesale business. In most transactions, both parties don't have this kind of equal knowledge of the product
Yeah I don’t even know what the hell they’re talking about but it’s interesting to watch.
Wtf do you mean fascinating behavior? Lol
Me to, thats why i watch the videos!
Great example of how important relationships are when doing business.
5:56 That was a smooth insert of dinner into the deal hahahaha
nice catch! I didn't even notice the "and you take me out to dinner". Sweet
Nah b
He also chocked xD
Keep pumping this long form content, your shorts built you up now use the foundation. I can watch you all day long
Yeah I agree, love the shorts but would love longer videos even more. The gem business is so interesting to watch!
agreed!!
Agreed.
100% agree with this comment
This! I binged all the shorts and now the longer content would be great.
I love watching these because it's two guys give each other the hardest time but being so friendly about it. MAZAL!
I know nothing about gems but this is so fun to watch. Can you insert pictures of the stones after you buy/sell them so we can see them closer?
Yes please
Or macro lens
With a lil “cha-ching” sound 😂
You can just tell his gem intellect is on a different level
Or his ability to BS is lol.. but idk
I’ve met this guy in person. He’s a genius.
@Sam Goldsmith I will agree, very genuine guy.
@@DManLewis1 he studied gemology...
Now kiss. 👁 👄 👁
The dude with the tennis bracelet and emerald negotiation was such a forthright and lovely dude ❤

I have no knowledge in gems but I love watching this. It's something about a guy showing of his expertise like this. Love the longer format also!

Awesome to see a longer one.
Love this content !! Long video format is better and very authentic as always. Nice that you show also failed deals. It would be nice to have an conclusion if the convention day and what you expected etc. Anyways keep going !!
Your content makes want to get into this business myself as a jewelry lover and enthusiast! Keep up the amazing work!
Makes me wanna get BACK into it.
Although the only thing I have any knowledge of is diamonds and diamonds alone

Oh come on, he’s awesome and I love his content but protect at all costs? I wish him nothing but the best and safety always though.

Yay finally long form!! Keep it up
Avi is so entertaining while negotiating. I’m spellbound while watching this.
4:52 dude came down off of his price by 42k makes me wonder what he got it for
We love your videos!!
Thanks for watching!
Great negotiating skills and thank goodness they are family.
Your videos are mind bottlingly entertaining, bro. Hope you keep blowing up!

Time is money and you need to assess the probability of reaching a profitable deal versus the time invested in negotiations.

after thoroughly watching this video time and time again i can confirm he did indeed negotiate ultra rare gems at the tucson gem show

I'd love to see closeups of the stones that you deal with in the videos to get an idea.
Man I love watching these.
Please post more of these longer videos, love watching them!
my toxic trait is thinking i could negotiate this good
Thanks for the clear explanation on NFTs.
The cousin cousin price lol , such a cut throat industry of people robbing each other.
yea and the people who actually found these gems sold them for pennies from poor countries to these dealers.

That was really beautiful Diamond can you guess what price should I pay for it.
the "cousin price" had me rolling

First time watching and that was quite interesting. I hope to see more of this come across my feed
I just accidentally ran into this and this is really amazing how they go back and forth like that.
I just love how the final price is never the final price and the yes or no price is never a yes or no answer
i just subscribed you, I saw your short videos and accidently jumped on this video and i find it super interesting and enjoyable.
I’m just getting into gemstones 💎. Just got a Faceting machine. You got any rough stones that need cutting or you want to sell?😊
