In this video, I dive into the latest Rivian OTA update, version 2024.19.04, which aimed to bring some exciting new features to our vehicles. The update included:
- Blind spot camera view in the driver's display 🛑
- Improved suspension 🛻
- Updated climate controls 🌡️

Rivian did contact me, and they had their diagnosis team send over and update just for the cameras system, but unfortunately it did not fix the issue. I will provide an update after my service appointment. Also, we have not received the update for our 2024 R1S, I’m not sure if this is a reason for the delay. Please like and subscribe!

I had the same thing 2024 R1S. Have service scheduled. About a day later the cameras just randomly started working. Keeping the service that was scheduled to have them look things over
I was hoping for the same thing to happen. I lost count of how many times I reset it in hopes my cameras would work. I have not received notification to update our 2024 R1S yet. Thanks for sharing!
For me I had a few glitches after the update as well, but it (luckily) seems that restart fixed it. First issue was no backup warning sounds when an object detected and the other was no GPS signal

That's good to know. What software version did you receive because it look like it has been updated since I installed 2024.19.04?
@@thedukeofmanville I got 2024.19.06, which to my understanding is specific to the standard pack (which is an old large pack software locked to not get the full capacity), the .04 version had an issue with regeneration, .06 is the same as .04 but fixed that issue.
@@EVandMe They sent me .06 after .04 didn't work, and I have the large pack quad motor, but it did not fix my camera issue. Thanks for replying!

Updated my 2022 R1T last week. Had to do a soft reset for the navigation charging stations to fully appear. The navigation on the app still appears not to show all the chargers based on my settings however. The ride in all purpose and soft is really nice.

Yes, I heard after the update the EA and EVGO chargers are not visible for some owners which is a problem for cooling the battery before charging, I would think.
I'm so sorry this happened. We have the 2023 Launch large pack R1T- no camera issues with the update.

FYI, the ride height indicator on the behind the wheel display has always been there.
Thanks! I never noticed the height adjustment, but it looks like they added the actual height level instead of just the bars. They disappeared after they reached its level before. Thanks for sharing!
Sorry about your camera issue. The software update actually fixed my right stereo channel that wasn’t working.
That's really unfortunate. Luckily, I had no issues with my R1T. Definitely do a video update when your issue is resolved, and good luck.

I had an update back in May and the Driver+ didn't work. I had to bring it in but the service appointment was so far out that my 2023 R1T went through the most recent update and now the cameras work to where I can use driver+ again.

I had a similar issue on my Tesla. The cameras were no longer working. Some suggested I disable Sentry Mode and Cabin Overheat protection so the car could go into a deep sleep for several hours. I did it overnight and when I got back into the vehicle that morning the cameras were working again. Perhaps you can try to see if that works the same for your Rivian.

Wow, I would not know how to do all that on my Ioniq 6 but what I do know is to disconnect my 12V battery on the Ioniq 6. It's right up front so super easy, wait 10 minutes and reconnect it. That makes the Ioniq 6 sleep. The caveat is you lose your efficiency average back to odometer mile 0 but I would take a screenshot of that prior to.
Rivian needs to send you some money. I learned the most about Rivian from you. I still don’t like the Rivians because of the cute looking headlights. They would look better with just the light bar. No cartoon eyes headlights.
Just installed the update on my 2024 R1S, and my cameras are working. Version 2024.19.06. That sounds like a random bug with the installation. Hope it gets sorted quickly.
You got the updated software version. I had version 2024.19.04. Then the sent me 2024.19.06 but that still didn't fix it.

2022 R1T. No issue with the cameras. Ride is a bit softer with updte.

That's a bummer my 24 T was ok. I didn't notice much difference with the suspension but it was fantastic before.
That's good your R1T wasn't impacted, but my R1T does seem to ride better now after driving it for a few days.

My R1T has not prompted me to update yet. I am still on 2024 11 03.

Same thing happened with my R1S Launch Edition after installing the most recent update. I tried all the resets and none of them worked. What did the service center say was the issue in the end?

Why did you and your wife give up on the Cadillac Lyriq for the Rivian RS1?
The Cadillac Lyriq is a great vehicle. My wife liked the styling of the Rivian better, and we know the Rivian would improve over time while the Lyriq update would be limited if at all among other things. I will make a video covering the full decision, but I highly recommend both vehicles.
