My 15 year old bauer vapor right skate blade broke in half 4 ice sessions ago. Played on it since. Yesterday was the first time it fell off when I was trying to pass the puck to the wing. Quit comp practice early to put stick tape on the toe to prevent it from pushing out. Then I played Beer League after. Too slippery to drive 2 hours to buy new skates. So going to cut some steel, then weld the split blade together.
Happened to me; it broke just like yours. I got them sharpened my a newb and just thought it was a bad job. Got through two games and was going to give them back to get resharpened and saw it was cracked in half. I was all over the place.
Same thing happened to me twice on my right skate. Playing a game and tryouts to make to the ireland team

I’ve had a cracked blade on my Bauer’s for over 2 years. Feels the same but unfortunately I can’t sharpen them
had this happen twice, i suggest that you replace your blade holder to the kind where you can just pop your blade out and change with a backup blade
or just buy new skates!
I just took my blades in for a sharpen and found the fracture through my old vapors- rattled - but probably got it when playing pond hockey unfortunately
bummer man... pond hockey as great and fun as it is... really a killer on the blades.

exact same thing here bro. almost identical comments to my team. I have 3-4 games on these puppies in Mexico blade cracked in the same spot. Can´t get em fixed. can´t find replacement blades online

This just happened to my son skate. He played a game yesterday and then we went to go to skate and shoot tonight and he comes out to tell me his blade broke right down the middle. Hoping his replacement blades get here in time. For next game on Sunday

Happened to me the other day. Same old Bauer vapor skates like you have, and no quick-release or anything. Are the blades replaceable with this type of blade holder?
rip lol Same thing happened to me in bantam. Blocked a shot in a tournament and snapped her in two. Played the finals with a broken skate and won :P

I used to play that game with my brothers, there may have been a few real world "brotherly" fights caused by those Genesis hockey games in our household!
nice that's awesome.. yeah they are still my favorite go to hockey games of all time! I should work on getting a world record in it someday
