Thanks again Kurt really love the chips videos and love seeing any mistakes in the filming such as the man in the shot who just wants to get to his car love all your videos Kurt always a joy 👍
Nobody, and I mean nobody, does these as good as you. I want you to know I appreciate the time, energy, and effort you put in to each one. Thank you for making these.
Kurt, thank you, thank you, thank you. Your channel has been what we've needed in many ways through the years. I appreciate you and your gift so much. Keep up the great content and please don't change your formulas.
Thanks for this episode, very cool! I have recently started watching CHiPs with my 15 year old Daughter and she's really into the show (as well as a young Erik Estrada). We are going to start watching your series as a companion after watching the corresponding episodes.
Ive never seen Chips before. Was born in 1987. But Ive loved being on the historical journey with you Kurt! Learnt alot and makes me wanna watch.... after I finished the original 21 Jump St. 😂🎉
THANK YOU Kurt!!! My all time favorite episode. This one used to get shown on syndication on cable in the 80s. I even remember watching this episode at college in 1994 on Halloween afternoon on TBS with a group of friends. Thanks for bringing back so many memories!
Thank you so much for making this, chips was my favorite show as a child and every time I see it, I hear the birds chirping like they did in the 70s and it's a time capsule of my life when I lived in the valley when they were shooting an episode near the mission my mom put me on punches bike and took a photo of me as a little kid, the Halloween episode is my favorite thank you!!!
This video is beautiful. But how nostalgic...the same places so many years later...without Jon and Ponch... Thanks for making us travel in time between yesterday and today. 💖💯 7M3 and 7M4.
I used to love chips, one of my favorite shows growing up.i still watch every now and then.sometimes they show the same ones over and over..I wished they showed all of them.
OUR FRIENDS IN THIS CHIP'S FILIMING ..WAS THE MAN WITH THE BROKEN ARM WAS ACTOR BOBBY VAN,, AND HIS WIFE THE GHOST LADY WAS ELAINE JOYCE ,,.. R.I.P. THANK'S KURT FOR THIS VIDEO!!!
Hey, coolest video i ever watched. Mainly because I love CHIPS and i have never been to California. Thanks, i will be 50yrs old in November and I plan on taking a trip to Cali from Minnesota this spring.
Awesome work as always!!!! Btw, I saw you in your jeep in South Torrance a few weeks ago! I was in a hurry so I couldn't say hello! Keep up the great work!
Kurt, you make the best CHiPs location videos. I loved CHiPs growing up as a kid. The only issue I had with it is that CHP doesn’t patrol side streets like they did on the show, they’re supposed to be on the freeways. Of course they could have been on a special Halloween task force. I didn’t think about all of that at the time it originally aired. 😂
Doesn't the candy snatching lady look like Ma Kettle from the old black and white movies? Thanks for another CHiPs episode. My favorite old show in fact. 😁👍
Crazy...I was a young kid when I watched this episode when it was first aired. Haven't seen it since then. When you started talking about the lady stealing candy bags, *I remembered why she was doing it!* 🤯
As a resident of Culver City almost my entire life, I find this video to be hilarious. I always knew how atrocious CHiPs’ continuity was, as they filmed all over our city. West on Jefferson to the 405 north. Suddenly they’re on the 118. I had the good fortune to watch them film a scene in Culver City right behind Shakey’s Pizza and hang out with Estrada and talk to him for a bit. The scene involved chasing a tow truck where the tow truck driver unhooked a tow chain and let it drag behind the truck. When he made a hard right turn, the chain whipped into the oncoming CHP officer (not John or Ponch) and knocked him off of his motorcycle. The scene actually didn’t go as planned and the stuntman was injured. In the final cut, they DID use the footage where the stuntman got injured. More CHiPs, please!
Hey Kurt; Love watching your vids. Im over from Australia next March, would be really cool if we could meet up and you take me to a music video location. 80s of course in LA. I would never have that opportunity otherwise.. would be a sweet experience if you and your kid are up for it! Show this Aussie some cool locations. 😁😊
Motor ave was very common in old Laurel And Hardy, Little Rascals. Someone does film locations of that genre and surprised many places are still around.
The Pool at Vets Park predates Chips. Ghost Girl is not running across Overland Ave. She is running across Culver Blvd and entering Vets Park from the north side. That is what it used to look like before they installed the parking lot along Culver Blvd.
David yes he was that was so funny and john did not take his turn and then at the end Robert pine fines out lol and let's everyone know at the party lol lol
Isn't the candy stealing lady the lady that did the bounty commercials ? The quicker picker upper. Also I used to work at the Mc Donalds on Sherman Way by Wilbur in Reseda and remember seeing the guy that played John come in with his daughter . It was across from Carls Jr.
I haven’t watch an episode of Chips since the early 80’s, had forgotten how many times an episodes they both just happen to pass right where a crime is being done and how much they use the car pursuits scenes for fillers 😊
Loved this episode, one thing I've never understood is why some scenes looked like they were shot in 3D, was that actually a thing? and would 3D glasses actually work? Happy Halloween everyone!!
Grossman was always the goofball on the show and the butt of jokes. I'm up to the Season 5 episode where he tried to be a stand-up comedian (while an escaped tiger was on the loose).
One thing I never understood, why did Ponch and John always stopped crime on Streets when they are California Highway Patrol? My Step Dad a LAPD cop always laughed at this show on how much they always got wrong.
Question....if Ponch and John are CHP cops, why are they not out on the freeways doing CHP things? Shouldn't the local cops or the sheriffs dept be handling all these local cases?
When that kid who sprayed Ponch with perfurm mentions he smell funny when they find him hiding in the old house, Ponch should have cuffed him and taken hit to jail!
This was one of my favorite episodes. Can’t wait for more CHiPs videos.
RIP Warner Brothers Ranch 😞 always love these Chips episodes!❤
Thanks again Kurt really love the chips videos and love seeing any mistakes in the filming such as the man in the shot who just wants to get to his car love all your videos Kurt always a joy 👍
Always great to watch CHiPs locations. Thanks!
Nobody, and I mean nobody, does these as good as you. I want you to know I appreciate the time, energy, and effort you put in to each one. Thank you for making these.
I grew up right next to Culver City and this video brings back so many great memories of my childhood! Love it!
It’s always fun watching your Chips filming locations!
Great video! The CHiPs ones are my favorites. Now I have to go watch that episode again.
Great video. From what I remember, this was one of, if not the only CHiP’s episodes shot at night time.
Great video! Your professionalism in production has improved greatly, and it shows!
Thanks for the time you put in to entertain me on my lunch break.
Anothwr stunning video Kurt. One of my fave channels. LA in the 80's. Nothing better!
Kurt, thank you, thank you, thank you. Your channel has been what we've needed in many ways through the years. I appreciate you and your gift so much. Keep up the great content and please don't change your formulas.
Regarding filming location videos: The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be. Thank as always, Kurt!

Love your CHiPs location videos!
I just love the Chip video's I think this i how I found you.
Oops, you did it again! Great work as always Kurt!
Ive never seen Chips before. Was born in 1987. But Ive loved being on the historical journey with you Kurt! Learnt alot and makes me wanna watch.... after I finished the original 21 Jump St. 😂🎉
Another awesome chips locations video, especially for the spookiest episode ever ......👻
@ 8:39! LOL - Moded! That’s so awesome! It must have been an LA thing. If you know, you know!
THANK YOU Kurt!!! My all time favorite episode. This one used to get shown on syndication on cable in the 80s. I even remember watching this episode at college in 1994 on Halloween afternoon on TBS with a group of friends. Thanks for bringing back so many memories!
Good stuff. Appreciate your research. I grew up in the burbs of LA but used to work in Culver City.
I love these CHiPS videos 😂
I never watched CHiPS but I watch these for you Kurt
You need to start watching CHiPs.
I really enjoy these chips videos
Good work as always 👍👍
Yes! I love the chips uploads my favorite 🎉
Thanks for doing another chips episode!!!!!!!!!!
Kurt, you have the best detailed filming location videos on YT...by far!! Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Very nice, and pretty cool so many sites from this episode still exist like that, a shame all those houses from the WB lot are gone though.
Great video as always.

Keep making these CHiPs videos Kurt 👍
I used to love chips, one of my favorite shows growing up.i still watch every now and then.sometimes they show the same ones over and over..I wished they showed all of them.
Such great videos! I loved watching this show as a kid...
Still can't believe they leveled Warner Bros ranch 😩
What makes it worse is from what a couple other UA-camrs have said those buildings replacing it are Green Screen sound stages😡🤬
Progress sucks somethimes.😅
Good scene ☆smashed☆ it
@@JCole78ewww 😢

Thanks dude. Dig it!
Great video....u said "moded"😅😅

Thanks, Kurt. The CHiPs videos are always awesome!
Thanks for the videos
Oh, man. Those kids in the vinyl costumes really take me back.
Awesome work as always!!!! Btw, I saw you in your jeep in South Torrance a few weeks ago! I was in a hurry so I couldn't say hello! Keep up the great work!
Look at how big all of the trees got on Garfield Ave. So cool.
The same cactus green Datsun 510 station wagon is in a least 4 shots you highlighted! Great!!!!
❤

The Highway Patrol has jurisdiction everywhere in the state. They can write you a ticket on a side street just as easy as on the freeway.
Doesn't the candy snatching lady look like Ma Kettle from the old black and white movies? Thanks for another CHiPs episode. My favorite old show in fact. 😁👍
I I can not believe some of my favorite movies and tv are almost 50 years old!
tanks 80a life for everything bro, straight up!!!!!!
That van got like three feet of air across that intersection! 🤙🏼
That was my favorite episode!
That was totally awesome, thank you!
Being a kid of the 70's, nothing beats a CHiP's episode. Ever considered a Six Million Dollar Man?
I second, the Six Million Dollar Man🙋🏼
Crazy...I was a young kid when I watched this episode when it was first aired. Haven't seen it since then. When you started talking about the lady stealing candy bags, *I remembered why she was doing it!* 🤯

I love shakeys!
@@NickL951 The one I refer to is still there.
I was born bang on 1980 and chips was my go to programme, I even wanted a small plastic police bike with built in walkie talkie 😊 it was glorious.
Made my DAY. NO. WEEK.....
Awesome! Thank you for watching
Isn’t that convenient!! Indeed.
Cool SCRTD Flxible new look bus shot at 2:10 working the then 75 later 33 Venice.

Wasn’t this the episode when Grossman was the hobgoblin on the radio?
David yes he was that was so funny and john did not take his turn and then at the end Robert pine fines out lol and let's everyone know at the party lol lol
Don't forget to do Six Flags Fright Fest extreme video 👍📲🎃
Isn't the candy stealing lady the lady that did the bounty commercials ? The quicker picker upper. Also I used to work at the Mc Donalds on Sherman Way by Wilbur in Reseda and remember seeing the guy that played John come in with his daughter . It was across from Carls Jr.
Glass Bricks? 😉 One of my favorite episodes only second to the skateboard episode.
Modded. One of great disses. Follow that up with a Face. Of course you have to palm the have at the same time.
"MODED!" 😂
Silly 😜😜 episode, but amusing!! Can somebody tell me where are the LAPD,while all this mayhem is going on???
I haven’t watch an episode of Chips since the early 80’s, had forgotten how many times an episodes they both just happen to pass right where a crime is being done and how much they use the car pursuits scenes for fillers 😊
Would love to see one on Season 2 Episode 1, Peaks and Valleys
What about doing to Chips “Bomb Run” episode? That was always my favorite.
It's amazing how little time CHP officers Ponch and Baker actually spend on highways lol
Looks like Robert Pine actually knows how to shoot pool.
Nearly always a VW Beetle in a road scene 😂
Loved this episode, one thing I've never understood is why some scenes looked like they were shot in 3D, was that actually a thing? and would 3D glasses actually work? Happy Halloween everyone!!
Sometimes a movie would be broadcast in 3D. TV stations would advertise having 3D glasses available at certain places.
@@Tr0nzoid ok gotcha

You could re-use your footage from the Chips episodes and open a new UA-cam channel: "Cool cars in the background of Chips episodes"
The ghost lady and her husband were married in real life
Can you please add the year these episodes aired? PLEASE!
The time it took you to comment, you could've googled it
This episode aired on October 21 1978. Hope your Halloween was safe and fun.
One thing I never understood, why did Ponch and John always stopped crime on Streets when they are California Highway Patrol? My Step Dad a LAPD cop always laughed at this show on how much they always got wrong.
Maybe some old tos star-trek or mission impossible? i know it´s not the 80s :-)))
Question....if Ponch and John are CHP cops, why are they not out on the freeways doing CHP things? Shouldn't the local cops or the sheriffs dept be handling all these local cases?
California Highway Interstate Patrol Service
I believe the girls won the scavenger hunt, because they got 2 cops?
She would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for those two meddling kids.
When that kid who sprayed Ponch with perfurm mentions he smell funny when they find him hiding in the old house, Ponch should have cuffed him and taken hit to jail!
