From one 80s kid to another, I thank you again for making my days here on the East Coast bright no matter how my work day is going. Your time and passion you invest in your work I appreciate greatly.
My head spins just thinking about how much work is involved with these videos-identifying the locations in the movie, driving and finding the locations to match up the shots, the narration and the editing. THANK YOU for these trips down memory lane!
Vielen Dank Kurt für all diese Location-Videos. Einerseits ist es schön, "bekannte" Locations wiederzusehen, andererseits macht es traurig, die Veränderungen zu akzeptieren. Das ist leider der Lauf der Zeit. Mach weiter so. Beste Grüße aus Deutschland.
This channel is so special to a lot of us that loved watching California movies. I now live out here and love it. This Vector Hold California Gold track is great.
Can't say I remember watching this but didn't realize Cole played Kent oi another movie! It's pretty funny the guy in the bed of the truck kept placing the cones while Cole was driving. Thanks again for another wonderful filming locations video! The best.
Thanks for doing this. I grew up in Simi Valley and it was so cool to see it on Bachelor party. That Home Goods is the actual building the Mann's 6 Theaters was in, it has just been renovated extensively. Imagine watching Bachelor Party at that theater. It's nostalgic seeing all those old 80's businesses there. I grew up just west of there where Cochran and Erringer cross and although I live out of state now, my brother lives just north of there, The Poltergeist house isn't too far from there either. In the townhouse you gesture to across the street, a friend of mine actually lives in that unit. Upper floor, corner of Cochran and Galena.
Just you are defo my favourite channel on UA-cam. Love the location videos. LA and the SF valley. And dude. How the hell did you manage to spot the background in the SF valley straight after the first scene! That is insane!! But mightily impressive!
The timeline is correct. I was 14. Had to watch this on cable HBO at the time. One of the all time, never forget movies in my life. OH Tawny Kitaen!! A teenage boys dream girl! I still see her as she was. What a beauty. So sad she's no longer with us... Anyway, great time looking back on this gem, thanks for this walk into the archives. Big fan of your content. You and I are the same gen. Vintage 1970 here. Gen X'rs forever!
Great video, love your locations content. How much time do you put doing the research before each video? Some of these places must take a lot of time. A lot of info online to go through and check google street view? Anyway keep it up! 👏
Awesome vid for one of my favorite movies! One correction I know is that the wall that the bus crashed into the theater (Mann 6 Simi Valley) was located on the eastern most exit and parking area for the theater. The front of the building you had shown and indicated as the crash point was the waiting area for crowds to enter the theater and had posters for movies across the wall. The other business on that wall also existed at the time and were a newsstand, candy shop, optometrist and baskin robins. I saw all of the best 80’s and 90’s movies at that very same theater!
Bachelor Party came out the day I was born… I first saw it when I was 12 and my mom got it clearance on VHS when a Hills was going out of business. I’ve probably seen it a hundred times and it’s still hilarious. Happy 40th to Bachelor Party and to me 🎉
This is one of my favorite movie's of the 80's I enjoyed whole cast in the movie I have it on dvd and iam going to watch soon , so as Rudy said lay that pipe rick !!!
lol I saw this movie as a 9 year old at the movies… my uncle would take us every Sunday to the Hoboken twin in Hoboken NJ… we saw porkys 3, the last dragon, night of the comet and splash I remember….
A friend told me that not only did he see Bachelor Party in that same Mann Theater in Simi Valley, (Mann 6, not 36), but was in the same screening room where the 3-D fight took place. The fight scene was probably filmed on a sound stage, but the interior of the movie house is real. He said that he was stunned to see the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, only to see the Farmer’s Insurance building immediately after. The audience thought Tom Hanks was going to burst through the door. An unintentional meta moment, all the way from the 80s.
Holy Smokes! 40 years!! I was only 16!! Saw this with my cousins down in Mission Valley Mall here in San Diego! Great move and great times!
Holy smokes you’re almost 60 😳 it’s crazy to think all of these actors are in their late 60s early 70s now.
I’ve never heard of this movie but it looks like a good time! 😂
How the heck do you figure out some of these locations???
Impressive!

Many 40th anniversary movies throughout this year. 🥳
‘84 and ‘94 were both particularly good years for movies. 🍿
Excellent research work.

Peckerhead was such a great character. Turns out he became a counselor.
I grew up going to the Mann “6” theaters right there, that was the Farmers insurance building across the street, Simi Valleys tallest building haha
The car... Debbie...
"Sister, ....you look wonderful today! You've done something different with your hair." LOL
How many miles was driven just matching up the shots?
As usual, another excellent episode.
Great video. Why are some of these classics so hard to find on streaming services??

2:44 funny that you can also see the 4 trees that were behind the wooden fence, now a brick wall, now much taller.
One of the funniest movies EVER.
Reminds of watching this at the late great Winnetka Drive-in with my friends waaaay back in the day! Great video, Kurt!

RIP tawny kitaen loved her in this movie
One of the earliest movies I remember seeing. I was entirely too young to have seen it, but I got my hands on it somehow
This movie, Witchboard and Whitesnake videos had me desperately in love with Tawny Kitaen.
By some weird chance of fate, I became internet friends with Tawny Kitaen she was always incredibly nice and kind to me.
I miss her every day.
"Rudy's in the lobby enjoying chocolate bars..."😂

Such a funny movie
"You're a pimp? You look like Gandhi"

“Why do good girls like bad boys” 🎶
Tom Hanks’s greatest role.
