So many good tv series from the 80's.. The A Team, MacGyver, Street Hawk, Mike Hammer, Airwolf, Spencer for Hire, Magnum P.I., In the Heat of the Night. The Equalizer, Knight Rider, Life Goes On, Familie Ties, Different Strokes. Highway to Heaven, Alf, Night Court, Silver Spoons, Full House, The Famous Five, Head of the Class, Who's the Boss. Miami Vice, Mr. Belvedare, Hardcastle and McCormick , Heart to Heart, Simon and Simon, Remington Steele, Moonlighting, ~The Fall Guy, The 6 Million Dollar Man, Cagney and Lacey, Lassy, Robin Hood of Sherwood. Hunter, Jake and the Fatman, T.J. Hooker, Murhphy Brown, Hill ~Street Blues. Scarecrow and Mrs King. Unsolved Mysteries, Our House, The Twighlight Zone, Cheerws, Trapper John M.D.
Probably my favorite CHiPs episode of all time, with NFL greats Jim Brown and Fred Williamson. And then a ton of NBC stars in part 2 at the roller disco.
YES! Every time Kurt wears skates, the 80s Life fans each get one unit of extremely good fortune to use in any way that they please. Spend it wisely, my friends.
CHiPs was one of my favorite childhood TV shows, along with The Incredible Hulk and Dukes of Hazzard. I especially like watching the first two, because they were filmed mainly in the "thirty mile zone" around LA, which means lots of Valley and other Southern California locations. Dukes was shot at Warner Bros. studios after the first five episodes, but I like watching shows like CHiPs and Hulk to see the California I came to consciousness seeing as a young kid. I was born in 1975, a few years before you, and moved to So. Cal. in '80. Seeing the big old cars and disco/New Wave/punk fashion (that have come back again and again) stirs such nostalgia.
This one brought back a funny memory - we only had an antenna for TV reception, but my grandparents had cable. For this particular episode I was watching at their house up until the point that the 2 girls @ 8:00 turned around and walked up the steps and into their house... I can still remember my grandmother, who was already highly skeptical based on the opening roller-dance scenes, turning the TV off in record time and saying we were done watching "this foolishness""... great times
This has to be one of my favorite episode of CHiPs. Its always funny to see Larry from M*A*S*H show up in other shows. Great roller skating skills by the way lol. Always found it comical that roller skates were chosen as getaway and chase vehicles. Thanks for this video cant wait for part 2.
Those shorts. I can't. Too much. Gotta love it....... and I love the fact that the kid had like seven different names throughout your entire video. Chefs kiss perfect.
@@80sLifethis is the episode that was being shot when Erik Estrada had his terrible motorcycle accident. Do you know where that happened at? If so will you talk about it in part 2?
I'm 50 and still told I look like Erik. Cool since I grew up a fan of this show. I watch the reruns that air at 3pm in Tampa. CHiPs always had some good looking women in their episodes. Thanks for posting another great then and now.
CHiPs was my favorite as a kid, so I absolutely love these videos! They make me realize how truly absurd that show really was! 😂 An absolute classic though!
Aww, for a second I thought this was a filming locations vid for Roller Boogie 😢 I know Roller Boogie is technically from 1979 but I'd say it's 80s enough (and definitely LA enough) for a video on this channel!
I love how you keep calling little Andy different names haha. Also pointing out Ponch's manhandling the girl early on. I always thought the same thing.
Wow, awesome video! My Dad lived off the 210 near Paxton back in the 1980s and 90s. I could actually see his street in one of the shots, which was so cool. I had a lot of wonderful times with him there before he passed away in 1999. Growing up in the Valley in the 1970's, I remember my Dad coming home from work and saying many times that he had drove past a CHiPs filming location on the way home. He also came across filming of Adam 12 episodes a few years before. I am a big fan of yours and I think you are a gifted storyteller. Can't wait to see part 2!
Your content is wonderful, but my favorie videos are the CHiPs location videos. You do such a good job! I loved that show, I grew up with it. I eat this stuff up with two spoons. Great job, thank you!! BTW... I love it when you call out the continuity errors. Especially when you talk about them patrolling everything BUT the Highway.
Another great video, Thank you for all you do, Wish they still made shows like this, Thanks for the memories and all the hard work you put into your videos always look forward to them,
This is so far my favorite video of yours! 🤣You had me laughing my butt off at your jokes, the things that happen for no reason, and your awesome roller dance reenactment!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fun video. I absolutely LOVED CHiPs when I was a kid. Funny this video pops up, as I just (literally last week) found that Plex has CHiPs available to watch and I have been planning to dive in again!
Love what you do with those filmlocations, One of the best series made, chips was my favorite as a little boy in the 80s and The A-team We not get any show in the 80s in the Netherlands, Over the last 20 years i collect series from 70's 80's 90's like T.J. Hooker, Simon and Simon , T&T, Riptide to name a few still love the 80s
I can’t enough of your Chip locations Kurt this episode had a lot of guest stars the two “ Undesirables” were played by the late great Jim Brown who just recently passed away and Fred Williamson who both played in the NFL also in the episode were Larry Storch and Larry Linville who were in F Troop and Mash respectively great video as always.
I always loved this episode, its so over the top. I showed it to my ex who was younger, and she never saw the show. I figured it exemplified the series and was a good place to start. She couldn't get over it lol
One of the 3 people standing at the roller skating rink was the late football player Jim Brown. I'd recognize him. And after looking at the picture. I remember that episode
"He grabs the kid and gets ready to taze him" that really made me laugh outloud. I was a teenager in the 70's and loved this show. I really enjoy your intro on the CHiP's episodes. I think partly because of this show, I ended up as a Chippy, no motors though...These episodes have not aged well, kinda cringy how Ponch hits on every female he comes in contact with. I saw the very first episode of CHiP's the other day and it was cringy. The cat calls, etc, Sexual harassment central! No pun intended. Thank you.. I really enjoy your YT channel.
Cool video, very impressive. I need to start watching chips. People in the 80s were so crazy just leaving ramps on the fwy. Venice & SM is a little different now tho.
I was going to comment on what people must have been thinking watching you "dance" on your skates, but then again, you're in Venice, so nobody probably even noticed. 😂
I’ve got all 6 seasons and CHiPs 99 on DVD. This was a great two part episode, a lot of big Hollywood stars from that time. What was the boys name? You called him ten different names. 😂 5:13 it was Jon and SGT Getraer on the freeway, not Jon and Ponch. But another great one, love your CHiPs videos. Looking forward to part 2. 😊
It appears that I made two minor mistakes in this video. I will address them in part two.
Don't forget to give props to the late Jim Brown.

@@Danny-bd1chyess !!! I was just going to say. Two big 70s actors are in this. Jim Brown AND Fred Williamson. Ya diggg
Can't lie, the song Leif Garret sings in part 2 is 🔥
The Karate episodes where Ponch Kick Arse is what I am waiting for.
The CHIPS clips have
serious Solid Gold vibes
Amen...
Kurt Crucial knocking it outta the park again. Well done Sir.
Every day when I get home from work one of the local HD stations plays 3 CHiPs episodes a day! I freaking love it!!!
Awesome work..
Excellent!! Thanks Kurt!
Loved CHiPs. Theme song is my ringtone, my wife hates, I love it. LOL
So where do I find this ringtone?
I had that not too long ago. Mine is Night court at the moment
HAHAHA! "The guy in the wig" was funny, but Ponch "yanking her around the yard" cracked me up! lol
WOW!!! GREAT JOB AWSOME ,,, I LOVE THESE OLD SHOWS AND YOUR GREAT WORK!!!! SEND ME MORE!!! PART 2.. THANKS...
Timmy, Tommy, Mikey, Brody, Johnny, Randy, Sammy, and Billy...
Nice subtle gag
Probably my favorite CHiPs episode of all time, with NFL greats Jim Brown and Fred Williamson. And then a ton of NBC stars in part 2 at the roller disco.
Came to say the same, how can Jim Brown not be mentioned
I thought that was them
I think I saw Chewbacca there too.
Kurt, no BS.... You make the best videos in this category
He really does. Kurt’s channel rules!
Awesome, I love these.
Thank you!
YES! Every time Kurt wears skates, the 80s Life fans each get one unit of extremely good fortune to use in any way that they please. Spend it wisely, my friends.
Awwhh this was Awesome!!…and just like 80’s TV we are left with a cliffhanger Part 2 to wait for 😂 Brilliant!
Shoulder check two guys in wigs😂😂😂 You make the best filming location videos.

Kurt love all your videos but the Chip's one are the best. My favorite show growing up next to emergency. Thanks Kurt.
Thank you so much. Glad you enjoy them... more to come
Awesome video. I still hum the Chips theme every day when I get on the freeway on my way to work
Haha. Awesome! Thank you!!

So good!!!!
nice job
As always amazing job! Thanks Kurt!
Thank you so much!
I love your narration. You bring the show to life
Good job Kurt!
Those shorts. I can't. Too much. Gotta love it....... and I love the fact that the kid had like seven different names throughout your entire video. Chefs kiss perfect.
The UK imported a lot of your programs and I love seeing what has changed over the decades even across the pond. Nice one Kurt 👊
CHiPs is actually a big influence on me riding a motorcycle 40 years after.
Thank you!
@80sLife no, thank you mate, putting the effort in bringing us the videos
@@80sLifethis is the episode that was being shot when Erik Estrada had his terrible motorcycle accident. Do you know where that happened at? If so will you talk about it in part 2?
Great stuff, Kurt! These CHiPs episodes are fantastic.
Great to see Larry Linville in this episode.

My favorite vlogs! Thank you Kurt! Keep’em coming 🤣
Thank you so much! More to come

Glad you did this. Love these episodes.

The actress at 11:50 is Helena Kallianiotes. You may recognize her from Five Easy Pieces starring Jack Nicholson in 1970. She is still alive and well!

Anyone else notice one of the roller skating bandits was NFL legend Jim Brown, who just recently passed away in May of this year.
RIP JB.
Little Sammy, little timmy, little Blake 😂

👏👏👏 Crucial. If you look real close you can see Dirk, Chest and Roller girl at the contest. 😉
You do awesome work? I enjoy your videos... great memories...80s 👍
LOVE THE COMMENTARY!!🤣
Awesome to see more of this
OMG I love this episode! Love these chips videos so thanks!
THE 210 and THE 134, real Angelino in the house
This was a ton of fun! Thanks!
My pleasure. Thank you!
I kept waiting for the GIV to make a cameo lol
Nicely done Kurt, now that I saw that station wagon on the 210Fwy...let's see if we can do National Lampoon's Vacation with Chevy Chase.
I always loved this episode, its so over the top. I showed it to my ex who was younger, and she never saw the show. I figured it exemplified the series and was a good place to start. She couldn't get over it lol
you are good man !
Nice video! Old memories!
You should've covered some roller rinks in L.A. 😊
Fred “The Hammer” Williamson, on roller skates. 👍
AWESOME!!!💯
One of the 3 people standing at the roller skating rink was the late football player Jim Brown. I'd recognize him. And after looking at the picture. I remember that episode
Frank Burns hittin switches
From what I can tell on IMDB, the boy was played by an actor named Bobby Rolofson who died on his 16th birthday in 1984 from a motorcycle accident.
Nwa filming locations 🔥
Major Frank Burns!! And Jim Brown!! 😯
10:54 WHOA! Never knew *ED GRIMLEY* did a Roller Skating Bit! He looks great for his age! 😂
"He grabs the kid and gets ready to taze him" that really made me laugh outloud. I was a teenager in the 70's and loved this show. I really enjoy your intro on the CHiP's episodes. The brunnette theif on skates was in the movie "Kansas City Bomber".She was a roller derby skater in that movie.(1972)
Crazy how many places are still the same after 40 years.
Great stuff!!!
No way dude. I was born in that hospital too 8-14-1980. Crazy
Hey, I was there yesterday...😁
1:44 that's the Looff Hippodrome, the exterior was used as Skatetown, U.S.A. in the movie of the same name, Ruth Buzzi appeared in both.
I love these chips filming location series! Another great job Kurt, and nice roller skating skills 😊
Cool video, very impressive. I need to start watching chips. People in the 80s were so crazy just leaving ramps on the fwy. Venice & SM is a little different now tho.
Hate when those ramps come out of nowhere on the freeways.
Goofy dancing in roller skates is absolutely normal on Venice Beach. I bet no one blinked an eye when filming that part LOL.
The Roller Skate Bandits were 60's 70's Football stars/actors Jim Brown and Fred Williamson. Lol!
I was going to comment on what people must have been thinking watching you "dance" on your skates, but then again, you're in Venice, so nobody probably even noticed. 😂
As much as I love Chips, I kept thinking about GTA Online 😂

Cant forget Larry Storch (Corporal Agarn from F Troop) as Larry Linville's accomplice.
