I love your channel thank you for this video. This is one of my favorite movies. I hope you and your family are safe with those fires in California. 🙏 stay safe.
Great finds. I was actually able to get good view and pic of front of the “stilt” house while on one of those Hollywood tours a few years back, before the fence was put up.
Great video! You do an amazing job with explaining where the shot is located and lining them up with the THEN and NOW. Hope you and your family are staying safe with the fires and chaos right now. Be well.
Thanks for sharing the locations, and the flash back for me to a fun entertaining movie. So sad that the tunnel is completely vandelized with graffiti now, and Warner Bros Movie ranch is no longer.
Great video. I had just moved to LA that summer. Found out they were filming downtown at night December of 88. So I went down to watch some of the chase. Funny thing is I was by myself and just walked up and hung with crew, security and some of the stars. I think they thought I was working with them. Went back a few nights later to watch the trailer getting wrecked on Figueroa. Good times. Thanks again for the as always brilliant video
Los Angeles was the third star of that movie. As always, incredible job Kurt! Loved the fast-paced chase scene quickly going from past to present with the music track. Your son's sign was so unexpected and so right on I woke up the cat laughing. Thank you!
The 2nd Street tunnel and the Westin hotel are looking a little shabby 35 years later. Also seems to be a lot more security gates everywhere. Excellent detective work as always.
Hey Kurt. Massive fan of the channel. Just wanna say what a lovely family you have. Love how your wife and your son especially gets involved in the videos. Family first always. He's a credit to you both.
As always, fantastic video and I’m so glad you did LW2 as we had only just watched it over the Xmas break. We are all thinking of you guys and I hope that you’re all safe from the fires. All those locations gone is heartbreaking but what’s worse is just the devastation that it causes. We’re planning on going to our “once in a lifetime” trip to the USA later in the year but no idea if we can still do it or even if it’s worth it. Thinking of you all.
Great video as always! My Uncle Charlie was the stunt cordinator for the movie. Visited the set numerous times as a kid during filming. These videos bring back so many memories, thanks!
Great video as always. Stay safe, it’s horrendous to see the destruction that the fire has caused in LA. All my best wishes to those that have lost their homes and their loved ones :(
Hey Kurt I automatically thought of you since your over there in LA. I hope your far from the fire. Please let us know if you and your family are safe. God bless
Awesome video, thank you. I’m a big Lethal Weapon fan. Love to see you do Blue Thunder Movie. Great video of LA skyline. Good land marks to view. Thanks again!
Fantastic video chap, too bad so many of the locations changed so much, or are covered, like the house on the hill and the southafrican building. But your job is AMAZING! Thank you so much.
The 2nd Avenue Tunnel and the Bonaventure (Westin Hotel) both look like they could use some TLC. My wife and I stayed at the Bonaventure in 2006; that entrance was busy back then.
Wow..these videos from the 80s and early 90s somehow induce strong feelings of nostalgia. The times that will never repeat. Even though I've never been to USA, it's major cities looked way more interesting and alive in the early 90s. Right now it just looks generic, like a lot of similar cities everywhere. 😢😮
I remember watching this as a kid at the Plaza Cinema in Truro, Cornwall, UK back in the day. I loved it then, and here I am all those years later seeing the filming locations as they are now and feeling that same excitement I had as a child. Thank you.
This guy is the GOAT of filming locations. And he's enjoyable to watch!
God, I love these videos!
Another banger man . Stay safe out in California hope your safe
Great video as always!
Side note:
Hope you and the family are safe with all the wildfires raging!
This is so well done. You do amazing work. I'm 52 years old, so this is highly entertaining and nostalgic for me!

I busted out laughing when I saw your son holding that sign! Absolutely brilliant! Glad he has fun being part of the videos…keep cool Crucial family!

Now I can't unhear it.
Thanks for sharing the locations, and the flash back for me to a fun entertaining movie. So sad that the tunnel is completely vandelized with graffiti now, and Warner Bros Movie ranch is no longer.

Thank you! One of my favourite movies :) They don't make them like this any more.
“Over by Dockweiler, Right here in PV”. People not familiar with LA “what’s he saying”. Another outstanding video, well done.
Loved this episode!
Hi Kurt thanks for making me feel really old and thanks for the video excellent as always.

I'm an LA native and 've always wondered about the Subway location. The drive thru was before my time. THANK YOU for finding it.

Great video Kurt. Loved the “side by side” (ok, top and bottom) picture comparisons of the shots from the beginning of the movie.
Man I hope you and your family are safe! All the craziness going on in LA
Destructive powers of fire should never be underestimated.
Very informative!! I love your locations videos. Thank you very much.

I know the channel is 80s life but you’re so good at these filming locations, I’d love it if you did one for L.A. Confidential.
I remember watching this as a kid at the Plaza Cinema in Truro, Cornwall, UK back in the day. I loved it then, and here I am all those years later seeing the filming locations as they are now and feeling that same excitement I had as a child. Thank you.
The pool area was also used in Robocop 2 in one of the tv advert scenes 👍
How are you doing, Kurt? Are you close to the fires in Los Angeles County right now? I've been thinking about you. Please stay safe!
hope you guys are ok
