Consistency is everything. If R9 were playing in the same era as Messi and Ronaldo, he would be just another Neymar, Zlatan, or Agüero, just another good player. To put it in perspective, in his best-ever season, before any major injury, in his absolute peak, the season with Barcelona where he played the most minutes, he didn't even break the 40-goal barrier in La Liga. Messi and Ronaldo achieved that multiple times while playing from the wing, not even as strikers, and also provided more assists. People either didn’t watch or were too young to actually remember what he was like game to game, not just through highlights. What I remember is something entirely different: with Real Madrid in the Champions League, I was in front of the TV screaming at him to do something against Juve and Monaco.
R9 scored 34 in laliga as a 20 year old something Messi and Ronaldo never achieved at that age or even come close. Then his knees exploded and was injured for almost 2 years and lost half of his potential that made him special. If he was injury free and continued on his trajectory there's no reason he wouldn't have scored 40+ league goals at the same age Messi and Ronaldo achieved them
Such a shame that injuries robbed us all of what would have been. That being said, he is and always will be the best striker of all time. A gift from God…..you can’t teach or train what he had. Pace, IQ, skill, passing, power…..only God gives that as a package. He is the number 9 position
He also has a health problem which makes him to gain weight extremely easy. When He returned to Brazil after all problems He faced since He went to Europe, So He was around 100 kilos but made all other players looking like children. He did not need to run, jus send the ball to him and wait to see the results.
people talk about what ifs in football when it comes to extremely talented players who didnt reach their potential because of injuries. Ronaldo had similar career threatening injuries plus plenty of fitness issues and he still became a great player. Imagine how much greater he could have truly been. Scary, if you think about it.

The best of the best!!
R9!
Overall, R9 is more talented than CR7 and Messi. It is just his horrible injuries, his lack of discipline and his hypothyroidism that limited him. Even with one damaged knee and beer belly, he still managed to score nearly 1 goal per game.
Yeah, only in ur deluded world.Messi clears that fat merchant. The stats, trophies, individual accolades, records, consistency,n longevity are there for everybody to see in the case of Messi.Just funny how people like u like changing posts with nothing to argue after Messi won it all.R9 never even won a single UCL trophy, are u aware of that??And even if he was fit,he couldn't score 91 calendar yr goals, even great Pelle couldn't do it against farmers n dentists during his time.Well Messi did.Its not even a debate n him having his injuries is not anybody's fault, shit happens so u cannot use that as an excuse.Even Cr7 once had an almost career ending nasty knee injury that he had to change his game from a winger to a penalty box striker.
Just imagine if he wasn't injury-prone and more fit and disciplined...
Wrong thumbnail. His prime was pre Madrid
Insanely good. Unmatched to this day.
Prime R9 was out of this world.
True beast.
*Titles video "PRIME Ronaldo"
*Picks a thumbnail of him at RM, after his prime...
funny no? lmao
Ronaldo Nazario is and always will be MY FAVOURITE player and but for all his time lost through SERIOUS INJURIES he would have been WITHOUT DOUBT the GREATEST PLAYER EVER but I STILL rate him the GOAT. ❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
Fenomeno
Ouuuchhhh.... horrific injuries just simply smashed his brilliant career 😢
Jose Mourinho is my ALL TIME fav couch (then comes Otto Rehagel & Kloppo)
when HE says that & also Zlatan..... there no arguments left
Great post but you need to sort the sound out, my friend. Other than that, you're going to be great!
R9 never had a prime bc of the injuries in 99/00. If he did no one would talk about Messi or CR7
Messi at age 24 already had more goals then him nostalgia is blinding you 😂
@@PSLGODSEdits9775 it’s hilarious you say at the age of 24. Bc you know by 24 of age R9 had that injury. When are you going to realize the difference between R9 and Messi is Messi needs good teammates to be good. R9 doesn’t. That’s why Messi’s Argentina didn’t win shit until that goalie arrived. 😭🤦♂️
@@Davidjaramillo1 messi assist scores is master at free kicks penalty most out the box long range goals in history greatest dribbler don't even compared that what if player to actual legend like messi who scored 91 something r9 can only dream of
@@PSLGODSEdits9775 Messi only scored 91 goals bc Barcas team was built around him…
@@Davidjaramillo1 then why didn't anybody in the history of this game has scored that many you probably a pendu fan so no point arguing with you
Ronaldo el Phenomenom was just so Amazing and is the Greatest Striker, moves speed skillz creativity power dribbling smoothness flow etc. Un Crack! Did everything!!! If he fid not suffer those injuries there would be no Doubt!
Fantastic Goalscorer
The best ever !!!!!
That huge straight line scar in his knee makes him look like some battlefield veteran.
I'm so pumped to start trading after watching this✨
Hearing Mou saying “the best ronaldo” cracks me up, just for the fact that he doesn’t like CR7 and they both Portuguese 😂
O mais brabo!
If he was injury free and continued on his trajectory there's no reason he wouldn't have scored 40+ league goals at the same age Messi and Ronaldo achieved them
had the r9 haircut as a kid. was ridiculed for it, but i was happy!
All the other greats were privileged this man suffered the injuries he had.
Such a shame that injuries robbed us all of what would have been. That being said, he is and always will be the best striker of all time. A gift from God…..you can’t teach or train what he had.
Pace, IQ, skill, passing, power…..only God gives that as a package. He is the number 9 position
This my goat
PRIME R9 IS BARCELONA R9.
PERIOD !
His injuries stressed out the whole world. I clearly remember everyone feeling down. I thought that was it. Then world champion? Wtf?!!! But i knew he wasnt the same, though he still had jinga and did joga bonito.
The one and only Fenômeno.
I guess this says it all!
Name one player that is able to score at such speed with both legs, dribble past defenders like Nesta and Maldini like it was nothing, having the best French defense line in awe, wondering om how they would stop O Fenômeno.
the reason i love soccer. i grew up on r9. the real ronaldo
Only who saw him playing should have an opinion and those whose seen him knows he is the goat of modern football
Ooo fenomenooooo the real Ronaldo
He was like a video game player edited up to the max. Speed strength dribbling shooting all 10
