They've always had talented players and it is interesting to analyze why such talented players have not been able to carry the team to glory. I personally believe that it's due to the fast focus of European teams in tactics over talent. A tactically rich team can easily defeat a team with a handful of talented players that have little to no tactical advantage. Argentina is a great example of this. The most talented Argentina team in a long time won nothing from the late 2000s to late 2010s. They now have a manager that has given the team a good tactical foundation and now they are a solid team. Brazil needs to find a similar approach, balance their talent with more complete tactics.

I don't really think pep can succeed at national level, he is a coach who believes in getting a player he wants, but with national team there is nothing like that, you have to work with what is there
I doubt the Brazilians will want to put up with his rigid style of football and management. Brazil would do better under a manager who gives their players freedom like Ancelotti.
In my opinion, part of the failure is this incredible arrogance that the players display on and off the pitch. They seem to think that they are not only entitled to be loved, feared and respected, but that they also have a lot of freedom in their actions. This leads not only to unsportsmanlike behaviour but also to ridiculing the opponent. And none of this is based on (recent) success, as is the case with Spain, for example.
I think we need to mention how football has changed as well. It is an airtight, stale affair now - all about tactics and details, like football by algorithm. It's effective, but it's also anathema to the traditional Brazilian philosophy. No more flair allowed
As a Brazilian I hope we keep losing, with shame, in football, and all other sports, so we direct our energy to real, serious problems. Football is a diversion. We have high rates of illiteracy and people dying in waiting rooms of public hospitals. We deserve to be seen for what we really are, a failed civilization, a bunch of losers. A lot of money for football, no money for education, science, technology advancement and rebuilding our military. Brazil is weak, underdeveloped and morally corrupt. We don't deserve to ever win a football tournament, or even a single Olympic medal, until we truly develop by focusing on real geopolitical issues.
I'm so glad I got to grow up with watching the likes of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka etc. I remember playing football on the school playground, everyone wanted to be like them.
Too many of their young talent leave for Europe at a young age They get accustomed to European style of play They lose their Brazilian DNA,... no samba , no jogo bonito... Europe frowns upon that But thats what makes Brazilian who they are
The main problem of Brazil team is less of the creative player and stable player, Thiago Silva, Neymar are the last decade world class player that crucial for team
Brazil doesn’t have leaders like they used to. They have players in good teams yet none of them are the type of player that fights to the end. They don’t have that style anymore
Yes if you are setting for team future world cup they should have good defence and top strike and three or four wings and a great middle field in the team . good coach also
I think it is both ways, while it is true Brazilian players are not as dominating as they used to be, other nations are progressing with their players quality as well. especially now a days, when scientific training and diet maximize players potentials, then you have a more competitive opponent, I believe Japan is the best example of it, they got so much better in the last decade because their players developed better in physical attribution.
Actually that's not the only crisis Brazil have been through .. I'm old enough to remember the seventies and eighties in the past century .. After winning their 3rd World cup in Mexico 1970 , Brazil struggled for more than 2 decades .. they had a golden generation that didnt only fail to win the world cup but failed to reach the semi finals ( I'm talking about Socrates , Zico , Falcao and Eder ) .. for five successive World cups the whole world was watching a Brazillian team that kept on stumbling and falling .. Then along came Romario Bibeto , Cafu and Dunga generation to win the 1994 WC and after that it was the 2002 WC with Ronaldo , Rivaldo , Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos .. .. One thing to mention , though .. What happened in World cup 2014 against Grrmany was a historical disaster that never happened to Brazil in the past century .. It was beyond my imagination .. It was too hard to swallow .. the worst loss for them before 2014 that i can remember was against France in 1998 .. but only 0-3 not 1-7 ..
The decline began the day Brazilian youth development began catering to the European market

I dont think Brazil has been trash since 2006, they were still the best nation by far, but they did fall off after the 2021 copa america and there is one reason for that. They didnt have a starboy. Neymar had been carrying them for 10+ years, now that he is gone, everything is lost. I wish the best for brazil.
I Talked About Their Copa Victories And I Never Said They Were Trash. I'm Just Stating They Are At The Lowest Points. Without A World Cup For 22 Years And Counting. Also Superclásico is not a tournament, It's An Annual Friendly Football Match.
absolutely not they were the best nation. the era of Spain started
@@aivy-aigeneratedmusic6370spains era lasted 4 years
@@aivy-aigeneratedmusic6370ha clearly forgot about Argentina who were better than Brazil from 2019 itself
@@aivy-aigeneratedmusic6370Era of Spain was between (2008-2012)

Welcome aboard!
pep would actually be a good coach but he won leave city until 27. so maybe after 27 he can coach em
Pep Would Be A Great Addition But I don't Think That Would Happen!
I don't really think pep can succeed at national level, he is a coach who believes in getting a player he wants, but with national team there is nothing like that, you have to work with what is there
@@brianmwila5249we are talking about brazil tho, they have so many top level players that pep can really choose almost anyone he wants
@@Dunkyoudoodthe problem is that some player selections are questionable
I doubt the Brazilians will want to put up with his rigid style of football and management. Brazil would do better under a manager who gives their players freedom like Ancelotti.
In my opinion, part of the failure is this incredible arrogance that the players display on and off the pitch. They seem to think that they are not only entitled to be loved, feared and respected, but that they also have a lot of freedom in their actions. This leads not only to unsportsmanlike behaviour but also to ridiculing the opponent. And none of this is based on (recent) success, as is the case with Spain, for example.
Well Said!
Bro had to include Antony in the thumbnail 😂
😅
I think we need to mention how football has changed as well. It is an airtight, stale affair now - all about tactics and details, like football by algorithm. It's effective, but it's also anathema to the traditional Brazilian philosophy. No more flair allowed
00.10 For a video about football decline, it is apt to hear Giles, Dunphy and Herlihy and contemplate the decline of pundrity since their golden age
From the 3R, now they have a pitiful excuse of a team...😟😟😟
Brazil need a coach an president
Point!
Brazil is the Manchester United of mens national football
we won the copa in 2019. when were united last rekevant?
True
as a kurdish i really feel sad for brazil and i hope one day it’ll be back ❤
I'm so glad I got to grow up with watching the likes of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka etc. I remember playing football on the school playground, everyone wanted to be like them.
How I wish I could go back to 2002
Good Old Days!
I respect what they have done for football they are an impressive team but their golden age is over
CBF is to blame for this situation
Too many of their young talent leave for Europe at a young age
They get accustomed to European style of play
They lose their Brazilian DNA,... no samba , no jogo bonito... Europe frowns upon that
But thats what makes Brazilian who they are
Appointing Dunga as a Brazil coach is the man reason for their downfall in my View…
That Might Be A Reason!
though they are two different nations and different reasons, South Africa is going through a similar decline.
It’s fine, Brazil will make at least quarter finals of next World Cup like they always do!
neymar is not on the same level as pele zico romario ronaldo ronaldinho
Exactly! He has no leadership qualities just babes, fame and social media
Great video
Means A Lot!
That confederations cup is a Mickey Mouse tournament
Brazilian coaches refuse to study and get better. That's the main problem. Everyone else evolved their tactics and Brazil got behind...
They have a strong squad. They just need good leadership.
I think Brazil should take Hanzi flick as there coach so that they could take there revenge on Germany
No Marcelo Bielsa would be great choice
The main problem of Brazil team is less of the creative player and stable player, Thiago Silva, Neymar are the last decade world class player that crucial for team
Brazil doesn’t have leaders like they used to. They have players in good teams yet none of them are the type of player that fights to the end. They don’t have that style anymore
Yes if you are setting for team future world cup they should have good defence and top strike and three or four wings and a great middle field in the team . good coach also
That 1 - 7 whooping was so entertaining to watch
This is sad there's an identity crisis in Brazilian soccer, coaching tactics have taken another trajectory
Let's Hope They Can Get Back To Their Old Form!
Brazil national team player are playing like the European...
Football nowadays are too boring...Bring back samba joga bonito once again...
Ganso with proper training would have been greater than Busquets 😭
Football is cyclical and history weights a lot, be it clubs or NT. Eventually Brazil will make a come back
True!
Dunga was the issue... Note it...Dunga Destroyed Brazil.
Expectation: How the greatest football nation destroyed itself
Reality: brief summary of the past few World Cups
They need a Brazilian Scaloni
Yes!
They forgot who they are and that's the problem. Forget the modern tactics and do the samba simple
They need an European coach right now..at least for 2 years
24 years without a World Cup > England 60 years without one.
