- How to bowl out swing - Cricket fast bowling drills
In this video we will be teaching you how to bowl out swing. To bowl an out swing delivery you must ensure that the ball leaves the hand at the correct angle. This is done with a stable wrist position and using your middle finger to manipulate the ball to angle it slightly towards the off side.
Do note we did not cover which side the shiny side should be as this can change whether the ball is swinging conventionally or reverse swinging.

What about left arm pacers , what finger should they use to out swing
I never really thought that much about using my middle finger, I’d always use my index finger and release the ball with the index finger pushing the ball into the stumps and away from the batter, I’d still get massive swing tho which bully’s the first team batters
Give it a go and see how it feels, might just add a new element to your game🙌🙌

Yes standard grip is middle and index finger on the top of the seam and thumb on the bottom of the seam. If you keep your middle finger on the ball longer than the index finger it will generate the correct angle out the release point to enable a ball to swing away. Hope this explanation helps🙌

Hey there, i've got a deadly inswinger but can't seem to manage balling it an outswingers, any reason why the ball only swings like one way?

Look to have more energy through your delivery stride and the top of your action at point of delivery. Work a bit harder with your front arm.

Make your run up quicker, your spin might be affected by this. And most importantly release the ball near your ear for good length.

Work on your wrist position and the finger you are bowling the ball with. if your wrists collapses throw the delivery you will always swing the ball in, so make sure its nice and strong and upright.
