    I think the one thing I really liked about the coaching is , forget about line and length , forget about over stepping , just bowl fast , the coaches have nailed what it takes to be a fast bowler.

      Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. I guess it’s all about being objective. We don’t disregard line, length and no-balls; they’re important skills to have but there’s a time and place for constraints and there’s a time and place for absolute freedom!

    This is the most exciting cricket youtube channel. Fast bowling showcases the most athletic facet of cricket. This video was so insightful. Now, Holding, Waqar, Thommo, Imran, Zahid, Akhtar, Tait and Lee bowling at breakneck speeds with varying techniques makes much more sense. I hope this channel explodes like a Malcolm Marshall bouncer. It’s a privilege to witness firsthand a young guy gaining 15 mph. That’s 15 mph!!!!It would be a crying shame if this channel does not end up with a million plus subs. Sorry about being overexcited. I just love fast bowling. Gotta go. Need to watch it one more time 😂😂😂

    The dedication and prowess showcased by the SpeedCamp team is simply awe-inspiring. Having the honour to collaborate with Sam and the entire SpeedCamp ensemble was an experience that I value massively. Witnessing Sam's meteoric rise in fast bowling velocity, gaining a staggering 15mph in just 18 months, has been a testament to the synergy of hard work and talent. Fast bowling is not just a skill, it's an art and an education that merits widespread appreciation and dissemination amongst the cricket community.

    In England we know that cricket is riven with classism. In general quality batting coaching is available to school age children only if their parents can afford to send them to a private school. A look at the education of the English upper order highlights this (remember only 7% of children in the uk are privately educated). Fast bowling stands in contrast to this, talent comes through the many local clubs particularly those in the north of England and Wales. These local clubs generally don’t have access to specialist coaching for youngsters. I’d hate it if this specialist fast bowling coaching becomes the preserve of fee paying schools, the ECB needs to ensure it doesn’t by actively scouting players in the local clubs of the uk and offering them the opportunity of specialised coaching.

    Now we Pakistanis 🇵🇰 understand why most of the fast bowlers from developed countries like England, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa have such a beautiful bowling actions and perfect bowling techniques.
    Knowledge and facilities matter. Though we have produced a lot of great fast bowlers, still most couldn't reach to their full potential. Take the example of Shoaib Akhtar, he got injured a lot and suffered a lot even after his retirement.

    This is interesting and a good inititive.
    I myself bowled 90mph and I feel a lot of fast bowling is down to attitude and natural fast bowling twitch fibres.
    I always felt that I was the best and could get anyone out.
    This is a crucial mindset.
    I didn't realise at the time me being a naturally fast sprinter helped me as much as it did in terms of extra pace.
    This vid has enlightened me.
    Hope this lad makes it.
    I like his hunger and desire to improve.

    Did Shahbaz or any of the other coaches make it to professional Cricket? From the footage, Shahbaz seemed to have the build and talent to become a pro unless he got injured.

    • @speedcamp
      @speedcamp  Рік тому +4

      Hi mate, Shahbaz here - I didn’t get injured and I wasn’t held back because of politics or anything like that. I had a lot of support and opportunities.
      I was awarded with a contract from Northamptonshire county in 2009 but I made some bad decisions with my approach to improving my bowling action and as a result, I couldn’t really bowl with the same freedom and intensity as I used to and I never really got it back until 2017/18 - by then, it was too late for me because of how well my other projects were doing and they needed my full attention!
      The reason I started Pace Journal, the reason I wrote the Book of Pace and the reason I coach is to guide players to not only improve but also navigate their way through the entire developmental cycle without destroying their talent and careers!
      Hope that explains it 👊

      how can y explain pls

    • @PaulFurber
      @PaulFurber Рік тому +1

      @@afsheenzafar2073 You can measure the speed of any fast bowler by counting how many single video frames it takes to travel from his hand the length of the pitch. That gives you a time taken to travel roughly 20 metres. Then you convert metres per second to km/h.

    • @anirudhsuresh4481
      @anirudhsuresh4481 Рік тому

      @@PaulFurberBro actually the distance should be 18 metres right because the Distance btw the Crease is 18 metres and the point where the bowler releases the ball is mostly in front of the crease

    • @PaulFurber
      @PaulFurber Рік тому +1

      @@anirudhsuresh4481 It's a little more than 18m because the ball is coming from about 2m up, pitching on a good length and then bouncing up to hit the stumps. My method works best on yorkers obviously because then there's a more or less straight line between bowler's hand and the base of the stumps.

    How can people who don't have gps can get speeds of their run up and how much they maintain till frontfoot?🙏🏻Is there any way?

    • @speedcamp
      @speedcamp  Рік тому +1

      This is a great question. We obviously understand and appreciate that not everyone will have access to GPS trackers etc. In this case, you need to go off feel and work from there.
      Do a 40m sprint (flat out) to understand what your 100% feels like and then adjust your run-up intensity from there.
      For context, no one runs in to bowl and targets a specific speed. Whilst bowling, it's all about feel and confidence on the day. The GPS data is typically used post-session (or match) to add context to performance and feedback.
      I hope this makes sense?
