    My only issue with this episode is that the kid with tourettes we see never really shows up again after this. It really does feel like he was created just for this message instead of being allowed to be his own person and go on his own adventures in other episodes, which I find rather hypocritical.

      I feel like the creators just forgot about him more of as they’ve created a million characters

      Definitely a gimmick character. I think if I had nothing else to say with this character though, not using him again is fine - they didn't happen to have a character with Tourette’s already, otherwise they'd have probably used them.

    Now Cartman has his own form of Tourette's Syndrome where he can't help but blurt out his most personal secrets. Bad karma indeed!

      This episode is called Le Petit Tourette, Season 11 Episode 8 of South Park

      @@UNAVAILABLE231 I know that. It's a pun on how "Tourette" is a French last name, as Tourette's Syndrome is named after the person who discovered the disorder, it's that French' person's last name, as "petit" (silent t at the end) is the masculine French word for "small" or "little" with "le" (pronounced as "luh" like "uh" in French) means "the", so the episode literally translates to: "The Small Tourette" or "The Little Tourette".

    ah yes, tiktok. where depression means "I am feeling very down during this period after being triggered by Billie Eilish, nobody talk to me"
    You wanna know what actual diagnosed depression looks like? A forced blank state of mind and will. Your body can hardly activate to do anything, and on the best scenario it enters survival mode to get you to work or studies to force you into life, and even then you are like a walking zombie. You can feel literally nothing, as your organism blocks any pain that caused it and along the way blocked everything else as well. Your immune system goes haywire, it is hard to to anything, everything loses its meaning, and no matter how many people support you you feel the peaks of loneliness. Your mind is over stacked by all the thoughts you never spit out (it would be meaningless to do so) to the borders of insanity, and there seems to be no way of escape from the incoming insanity.
    Depression ain't no child's play.

      Do you remember that whole era of MySpace/Tumblr where faking depression was particularly cool? Again none of it being faked in the very real way you describe ofc haha
      By its nature it's just not a cute quirky spectacle to watch - you put it well!

    I have very small tics and everybody just looks at me crazy when they happen they think I’m faking because of all the fakers so it’s just really hard I have to try my best to suppress them and it’s a pain in my ass when they happen because of it It’s embarrassing as fuck.

    • @Truffs_Stuff
      @Truffs_Stuff  8 днів тому +1

      I've heard suppressing it can even become painful. I bet it's just double frustrating to have this all trivialised by fakers 😬

    And Craig developed a crush on Thomas solely based on Thomas's ability to get away to blurting out obscenities without getting into any trouble for it. Don't forget that!
