Great summary. The longer cut of the stadium, with Steele looking over a long list of the casualties (which did happen) and Eversmann praying (Josh Hartnett wanted a chance to show how Eversmann was a religious man) is the big one I wished they had kept in, but it's also nice to see a glimpse of the short, but still interesting, scenes that, indeed, weren't included with the 3-Disc collection.
Yes Black Hawk Down could have benefited for being a bit longer , like the full hostage raid on the complex should have stayed in even the extended cut should have shown the full amount of that deleted footage.

So apparently there is also a deleted scene near the beginning in which Hoot is lying in his cot at night and speaking a bit with rangers? Is it in this extended cut? Anyway.. great summary - I saw the theatrical version on Netflix for the first time last night and I’m blown away by how good this film is. I never used to watch war themes films so much.. but I’m enjoying and appreciating them more and more.

I never liked the part where the Rangers are firing at Sanderson at his delta team. It breaks up the flow of the movie. Although I loved the extended mini gun chopper air strike. That was sick.
They didnt even show part when Deltas first entered wrong building

Same here. Got the extended cut DVD for $4. The standard blu ray only has the theatrical cut.
Stupid fucking studio execs. A lot of this is fixing my problems with the original movie after I'd read the Phili Inquirer articles years before and been a bit let down by the results when a dramatic movie finally came out. Looks like Scott did shoot much more than was originally shown to us. I would presume that the helo pilot telling the other guy "you'll be fine" was a sub for Filmore's reassurance later, since apparently his family didn't want him shown in the movie.

Yeah thanks im aware of that. Its good that they put the extended version on the 4k. Its the better version.
The extended cut is not on the standard blu ray, only the 4K
