This is the part the really turns me off when it comes to these DIY ebike kits. The motor and it's mount looks fine, it's great, but I can't unsee my imganation showing me how the batteries could just break off of these flimsy mounts when off roading...

how do I modify the lenth of the power lead?
battery would be dead outside in canadian winters if I can't bring it inside, need QR.
BAD DESIGN: no quick release so if you park your bike, battery can easily get stolen....!!!
I'd like to see a quick release incorporated too. Mostly for recharging during very cold conditions so you wouldn't have to bring the sloppy bike indoors.
A quick release would mean you need ALWAYS remove the battery. Always. That would suck.
