If i had to decide between me having a target above my head all the time and collect 75 wood boxes... ill take the target.
U can do it while going around doing fortresses and vaults tho u don’t have to buy them all at once
I prefer the pvp aspect of the game, its always a unique experience and sometimes you dont even need to sink them.
Good Choice, if I see merchant commodities on your ship then I will sink you to get those commodities. It's so hard to get that commendation of stolen commodities xD.
For me, less of a target on your head would be 5 chests of fortune on your ship.
Not to mention it seems like being a reaper keeps people away more than it attracts them. Plus reaper 5s can see every emissary on the map anyway
@ButterBallTheOpossum you say that yet me and my buddy's spend all our time server hopping. Haven't dug up a chest in weeks all my loots been from reaper ships

For reference, the most you can get at one outpost is 10, and that takes at least 5 min to move solo
@@slaminjaminotter7286 fr, this takes twice the amount of time it takes to do three sea forts to hit grade 5. It’s just slightly safer, since you don’t show up on the map. But anyone can still stumble across you while you’re moving this absurd amount of stuff. 75 boxes in addition to any actual loot takes time to move. The only way this is really feasible is with a harpoon rowboat, but you need to load them up at the last second so they don’t despawn.

I do this sometimes. Especially if I am soloing.
You have to go to 5 different outposts to do this…which is why nobody does this.
Incorrect. You can stay at the first outpost you log in at, get the boxes there, and then just repeat the cargo running quest at the captain's table. The cargo you get from those quests is equally as good for leveling up your reaper flag. It's tedious and you will need to keep accepting and cancelling the quest over and over until you cycle through to the outpost you're at,(takes 3-4 cancels) but you can do it.
Just get the items from the person and then cancel the quest and start the cycle again.

That’s assuming you stay under the radar that entire time or fight like hell when that other reaper pops up and catches on (or stumbled upon you randomly). Just saying, if your gonna do this, be prepared to battle it out or lose a lot of time and money… if you’re not confident in your ability to keep what’s yours, I wouldn’t recommend this quite yet.
I don't mind sailing for the boxes but what I WILL NOT do is run 75 boxes from the shore of reapers hideout. If I can't sell to a sovereign I ain't selling.

@boats6866 solo mostly and always on a sloop. I have found that 95% of people are toxic on this game. It's hard to make any friends when I'm constantly raising the alliance banner and getting 4v1 by a galleon where they act friendly then as soon as I turn my back I get shot and sunk by guys with all the curses and try hard ship sets. Then I'm told to get better.

Real reapers don’t take fights, they give them. Chances are if there’s a reaper near me and they’re not heading straight for me, they’re gonna run when I attack them 🤷🏼♂️ seems to usually be the case anyway
Running reapers are very common now. I was in a brig team sailing our guild emm. Saw a reaper G5 and we went right for it. First thing they said "Are you chill?" yes I'm very chill. Had a conversation with them asking how there day was and what they ate while we sank them. They are the common reaper now and never look for fights anymore.
You forgot to mention running away when other ships come for you

This is a way of achieving grade 5 reaper after receiving lots of loot. As you get the emissary bonus for all types of treasure rather than only the ones that correspond to your chosen emissary.
Did you even watch the video? Or are you just an idiot?
I'm fairly certain you'd get more bonus as a merchant but have you ever noticed the book next to the merchant that shows which outposts want which commodity most?
Or start a voyage as a reaper emissary, finish collecting treasure st first island then cancel voyage and then reactivate the same voyage get the same loot and repeat. Youll get 5 bar reaper in maybe 30 to 40 minutes and a shit ton of reaper rep from the juicy loot.
I wish Reapers had a Sovereign of somekind where I can quickly sell stuff, instead of running back and forth like a sitting duck cause if you got a big haul, it takes a lot of time just to sell the damn stuff.

Honestly I never do Reapers, not cause of the danger, but because it feels like it takes FOREVER to just sell a dozen items, god help me if I have a hundred pieces.
I honestly like the bit of fear I have when selling to the reapers, especially cuz of how long it can take. Also do we really want to make it that easy for ourselfs? Where is the fun in that

I just eat food until all the loot is grabbed. Take some down with you, then loot the barrels as you're looking for loot. Don't have to keep leaving the ship for air if there's no air pocket

Be careful guys. Buy your commodities AFTER collecting your loot. I made the mistake of buying commodities at 2 outposts, then doing 2 treasuries, then buying commodities at 2 more outposts, then doing other world events and evading enemy ships on my way to the treasuries to pick up my loot from the mermaid. By the time I finally got everything into a harpoon rowboat and up to the reaper guy, 2/3 of my commodities had disappeared. What should have been enough commodities to bring me to Emissary Grade 5 was barely enough for Grade 2.
Edit: I had picked up and placed down all of the loot, including the commodities to load onto the rowboat, so it didn’t just time out from being left idle and unburied for a long time.
Edit 2: There might be more to it. The situation was pretty unique because I was solo slooping and got chased by a galleon so I dropped everything off in a rowboat in case I got sunk. I went to pick up everything from the treasuries and THEN went to pick up the loot and commodities I dropped off earlier. The previous rowboat had despawned so I picked up and dropped each piece and loaded it into a new rowboat. I then docked my rowboat onto my boat and took off for Reaper’s. My friend thinks that because I dropped the commodities off using a rowboat instead of burying them and I technically never put them back on my ship (because the docked rowboat doesn’t count as the loot being ON the ship) that that’s why they timed out. More experimentation will be required, but the commodities might have timed out because they had gone a certain amount of time without being on a primary vessel. You might be able to keep the commodities for an entire play session as long as they’re kept on the main ship until it’s time to sell.

Yes it does count as treasure aboard your ship if you dock a rowboat hence why your emissary rep will increase.
Not only boxes I would sell my merchant 5 quest to reapers. But that was a long a time ago. I just fight and do voyages. Just like before lol

Sounds like too much work because each Outpost at least sells 16 of these things so you're going to have to hit up at least five Outpost which is already going to take up an hour of your time and not only that then you have to actually go and get some worth wild loot which can easily take up to 3 to 4 hours.

It gets you a reaper 5 flag instantly, what are you talking about? You go from no flag (invisible on the map) to g5 instantly.
Use the harpoon rowboat to get all of the boxes close to reaper.

This has been in the game for years. I do this nearly every time I'm solo. 50 pieces of cargo or 75 commodities

You need to use the harpoon rowboat method of selling to reapers if you are going to use this strat.
You could also just get the gold hoarder to grade 5 by collecting loot on to your ship then sell chests to the gold hoarder and get $1.5x on that instead

They're leaving out the past where you'll be visible to all the reapers the whole time and it takes visiting every port in the game to get enough commodities.

it's really not that difficult and takes an additional 30 mins if you feel the need to be safe

Shipbattles aren't that hard when evenly matched. However, for solo sloopers who get bombarded with 2-4 players, its a lot more difficult. Obviously some people are good enough to do this, but its quite a steep curve.

You know, with pvp available, idk why people even play as reapers. Most the ships reapers kill are non combative players who've worked hard for their loot and then a reaper comes along and within 5 minutes has 3 hours worth of trouble. I understand the appeal, but it takes a real garbage person to do that.

Merchant emissary pays out the badussy and you need to do one wreck reclamation to Max out and then just do goods deliveries with those same boxes
