- I got new Tomei EUL Headers for my 2020 Toyota 86 Hakone Edition. I paired it with a Tomei Overpipe and my MXP Comp RS Catback Exhaust. This car sounds A LOT more louder and more aggressive. It’s just the rev limiter going down, most people that I know have that same sound, unless if it’s super raspy

Hey I just put mine on with stock exhaust, and I double checked for any exhaust leaks and there's none, but it sounds like a little lawn mower now? Any idea???
Most likely it's because of your muffler, you can either get a muffler delete, catback exhaust or an axle back. My suggestion is to go for a catback exhaust to make the tone and noise better. I have an MXP Comp RS catback exhaust and it makes the tone of the car a lot deeper and more aggressive!

Nope, overpipe is not needed to run the headers, even though I have a tomei overpipe, you can still run it on stock ones
I have a 2014 FRS. I'm going to get UEL thanks to your video. I pretty much have the same mods as you and minus the headers.

@@ericabobo4308 eyyyyy. Yeah I finally got the UEL installed. Not going to lie it is not as loud as I thought it would when I am idle but it you push the pedal....it is loud as fuck.

Did it take away the torque dip and do you need a tune ? I’m not a car guy so I’m learning, I have a Toyota 86 that I just bought last year
It did take away the torque dip but only after I tuned, I didn’t run a tune for a year so there was a difference. But good luck on the build!
I also have an mxp comp exhaust. I’m debating on getting Jdl uel headers or run some tomei uel headers as well. Hard to choose man.

I have the same exhaust setup as you and I’m looking into getting these headers. Did you need a tune when you got these? Also how much louder/deeper would you say the headers made your car?
You don’t “need” a tune, but your check engine light will come on and overall performance (gas mileage, power) will go down. A tune will prevent the CEL and increase performance with the header.
Anyone kow if car with milltek resonated exhaust with catlles header would pass emissions and sound regulations in europe ? I would still keep second cat

Yall definitely need to check for an exhaust leak. It sounds like it was coming from where the overpipe and header connect. I had the same problem myself.
There is no exhaust leak :)
I have the same setup but with a invidia N1 instead of comp RS
N1 And the comp RS is basically the same, there might be some slight differences but mostly the same
just had mine done, same header but rasp at the top end. i think i need the exhaust checked

I literally just installed a new front pipe the other day :) but I had my stock front pipe for this video. Front pipe video is coming soon!

@@officialsukhrob7585 Enjoy it you’re lucky! In Europe we pay about $2500 for a full custom exhaust and an additional $1000 to get it tested and possible to drive road legal.
That is with quiet as fuck mufflers and cats btw...

Definitely manual, nothing wrong with automatic, mines an auto, but if I had the option to get a manual I would

A little bit, but not a whole lot, drone actually got better with my headers, before it was worse with just my catback, so my headers helped a lot with drone

wait does changing ur header void warranty or u dont have a warranty?
It voids the emissions warranty, something that you don’t even need, but I already voided all my warranty with my air intake, so at this point I don’t care for warranty😂
Do you need a tune when you install these headers?
I personally didn't, but to get the true power that it's suppose to put out, you need a tune. But without a tune, it's just for sound, it won't hurt the car, I'm going to tune mine soon tho!

How do you plan on tuning? I never understood the process
@@WhirlingMusic I'm either going to dyno tune it or flash tune it, you can just buy a tuning tablet online and plug it into your car, and tune it yourself!

Hmm no it’s not raspy for me, maybe it’s the stock overpipe, I have a Tomei overpipe, or that you might have an exhaust leak somewhere
