I had to mention the fact that it’s a nice chip bowl before the other members beat me to it...
That made me laugh at 🤣
😂
This guy, stealing my joke.
If I spent $650 on a set, I would also be very disappointed if my instructions were bent. It's just like they didn't care. Also nice background music.
well I guess they dont care, people still buying lego;(
The way Bricksie leaves through the manuals leaves almost every page wrinkled and damaged anyway. Making the problem with bent instructions quite negligible :) Wish you nice building experience :)
Agreed, I expect better. Hopefully when they restock this issue will be fixed. Because the instructions include architectural information, they need to be of a quality to survive the paging through during the build.
Feel also bad for the bent instruction manuals...
i have more things to worry about a instruction manuals being folded SMH some people are stupid
You should contact Lego customer service and get those damaged Instruction manuals replaced. You paid good chunk of change for the set, they should be perfect.
Absolutely. If I paid that kind of money for the set I would be very unhappy with the condition of those manuals. Not acceptable.
That book isn’t creased.
When I get a book like that I simply put a cutting board on top of it and put one of my 25lb dumbbells on the board.
I leave it for a day or two and come back to a flat book.
If it were creased that’s different but those bends will come out.
I don't think being repetitive is that important because I enjoy building it more than I do while displaying. The bigger the better. :). Btw new music is pretty cool!
The colosseum is a magnificent build, it is incredibly well planned, I’ve seen a LEGO youtuber build this, so I know what it looks like and how big it is, it’s really heavy too! It’s 8kg.
No your not
I’ve always wanted this set since I heard about it
Nice to see you’ll be ready for Super Bowl Sunday
Got my chips and salsa ready for for the colossal bowl
Does it bother anyone that the “four”’ is “IIII” and not “IV”?
I was just going to comment on that when I saw your post
IIII is historically accurate
It can be both. It's ok
The colosseum was built before iv was used over iiii, as Sean L said it is historically accurate.
Shouldn’t the 4th box have ‘IV’ on it instead of the ‘IIII’? Still great set though
IIII is used on a lot of clock faces.
@@Chris-vw2tl i know, but for a 18 + set about a roman monument, IV is correct
True when I saw it I was thinking too.
I saw an article about this - iiii is the way the romans depicted 4 at the time of the colosseum
Yeah it should have
Great that you were able to get everything with it.
Wow, 40 bags, this will keep you busy for at least a few days
Days. It would probably take me weeks
@@Obbliteration me and my brother just did Hogwarts castle which is just over 6000 pieces and it only took us 3 days to build
I love this, definitely getting it. I agree Bricksie, with everything you said basically. You are a good reviewer.
Good info here! Haven't picked it up yet due to display space, but certainly planning on it. Unlike many other builders, repetition doesn't really bother me if it's an unavoidable part of the building process. I just do it and get it out of the way.
I’m so excited for your review of it
Yeah, one heck of a set. Fun time building👌 Nice bg music as well 💯 great video mate!
I agree with u on the book. Should never be folded like that
I agree on the instruction booklets. Mine were really roughed up. Also, some of the instructions can be tough to read because parts being added in certain steps run into the center of the page and can be difficult to spread to book wide enough to see what's going on. I feel like it's really not like them to skimp on something like that on such an expensive, high-profile set.
Should have been coiled
Hey jordan! im getting the Ecto, the rough terrain crane and probably another set (havent decided yet) for Christmas. I CANT WAIT!
love the vids btw
I don't collect or buy Lego, I used to when I was a kid but this channel is holding my attention so much, I gotta hit that subscribe 😂👍🏻
I’d love to have this as we went last year. It’s an incredible place.
Wow.that is a big set!
Wow this is very very good instructions
I Love it! You must remember to sniff the plastic bags!
I 100% agree with you about the manual situation.
#shouldhavebeencoiled
I agree with you about the manuals being they should of been more protective or that it should of been just one large manual, but never mind,... mines on its way, can’t wait 😛!!
Should have been one large coiled book for sure
I will hopefully be getting this after Christmas
Nice to see it unboxed. You should set a timer each time you start and quit each building session to see how long it takes. I time myself on all large sets that are $100 and higher in price. The first time I did that was with the 2014 cargo train which took 4 hours to do. Then I forgot to do it for the 2018 passenger train but have done it for every modular I have built starting with the detectives office in 2018 up to my most recent one the palace Cinima back in august of this year.
This set is massive. It weighs a good ton lol. I hauled it around a mall in St Louis after I picked it up from the LEGO store. I can't wait to put it together.
That's crazy about the manuals. Even the Elf CLubhouse instructions were in polybag.
I purchased this on line on Black Friday. Can’t wait to receive this set. Watched the lego channel and they estimate about 30 hours build time
I agree completely about the coiled book
The box also makes my OCD tingle. On the website it's called Colosseum but the box says SPQR Colosseum
"Only the best will do" well in the past few years alot of things have been overlooked with the lego group.
Can you please compare the colosseum with the millennium falcon that would be a cool idea, great video
Wow this is very very beatifull set and funny box;)😀
everyone who buys this set should know going into the set that its going to be a repetitive build its the colosseum, so no whining LOL as for the books they should be bound better or at least shipped to make sure they remain flat. Looks like fun !!
I agree 100%, that's what my batmobile instruction manual book looked like.
The new music tho🔥🔥
Oh man you got it! Cool beans! 👍
It is Impressive...... but I’m more excited about all those Tan Brick Pieces hitting the brick link market
I bought it for the pieces!
You got the little chariot too, nice :)
If Lego could have made a hardback spiral instructions manuel for a 100$ Lego Architecture Fallingwater Set, they could have definitely made made one for a 550$ set that is also the biggest lego set ever by piece count till this day.
Ohhhhhhhhh,the bended books !!!
That would just piss me off and I wouldn't get over it. I'm a regular at my local lego store and I just saw it yesterday and I probably will buy it and hopefully the books will not be bent. Maybe you got an off box.
9000 pieces! Also, did you call to get you chariot promo, since they didn’t give it to you originally?
Yeah he had it on the side toward the beginning I think
The crease in these instructions books is the harshest criticism I’ve ever heard you toss at Lego haha
I can’t wait to have the money to purchase this and built it
YES! FINNALY YOU GOT IT!!!!!!!
I've been there....it's breathtaking. I might buy this just because I have a personal reference point.
yes I agree they should have been polybagged and backed by a single sheet of card board or something, like the instructions from my VW T1 camper van build.
I also got this at launch day which means I got the exclusive minifig. I am so happy :)
Bricksie. Get hold of Lego about the bent manuals and they should send you new ones. As they packed by machine and sometimes get bent when inserted. Glad I only deal with Cobi tanks that 500-900 bricks. Also are you getting the new Bonsai tree in January.
Since I returned home on my trip to Rome I wanted to build one myself, but didn't have right pieces, or not many of those needed, and after a year, Lego fulfilled my wish
Even though this is now the biggest I still see the millennium falcon as the all time biggest because of size and AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!!! I agree with you though, the instructions? Come on you pretty much pay half a thousand dollars in the us and more in Canada! Give us some good coil instructions!!
I’m with u mate. I hate bad quality manuals. Building my batwing now and the manual quality is pretty bad
The fact that box number 4 is IIII instead of IV is driving me mad xd. Nice vid btw keep it up!
EPIC FAIL
That’s going to take several hours to possibility of several days!!
I don’t think I’ll be picking up this set since I have no room to display it, so I’ll have to live vicariously through you Jordan. 😁
Fallingwater also comes with a coiled book
great vid ive just subscribed
Yup it pissed me off when I got mine. One of my manuals was actually ripped because of it being unprotected and was damaged by the bricks!
That’s my favorite lego set.
Amazing set, sadly don’t have enough for it lol. Have fun building it!
keep grinding man, you'll get there oneday 💪🏻
After you build it, set those manuals under heavy even weights for some time, maybe a week and see if it flattens them out
just put the instuction books under heavy books for a little while should fix the curve
did you buy it from west edmonton mall?
I mean he’s been going there nearly every video so obviously
@@ShadowFrosty101 I was just wondering because when I went there I didn't see any colosseum sets
I went to a LEGO store yesterday and they didn’t have it but they had it on display! It looked awesome!! And is a lot bigger then it looks!!
Epic!
To save paper I'm surprised they didn't say repeat step 100 times lol
I had similar problems with folded instructions and bags in the wrong box in my Death Star set
🔥Wht a HUGE lego! I wan this!! 🔥
Huh didn’t know old roman for 4 is written as IIII like on the inside box. So jealous of you right now!
Fair play for getting it, not a set i will be investing in so be nice too see this built on your channel. i feel your pain though, if i'd spent that much on a set, i'd expect it to be pristine condition, that's like they don't care and just chucked it together. hope you enjoy the build and look forward to seeing it.
That sigh on book 4 made me laugh
cool set ....not bad
I expected the box to be a bit bigger since the Millennium Falcon’s box is a cube shape but who cares, AWESOME SET! 🤩
Is a cool so cool so so cool oh i love This
So you didn't get the promo with the Colosseum when you first bought it.. how did you go about getting it in the end?
Maybe that set could be the xmas tree corner replacement after the holidays
I think the idea with the manuals was that the idea that each box was self contained and each person in a group would get one to build.
Great display piece, looks like a bore to build though. I think you're right about the instruction manuals, a set that price should have a binder style booklet, it's not like that really adds that much to the cost, maybe $5-10 more.
I agree for $550-$800 that book should of came packed as well as everything else, that’s sad and I would be pissed at Lego treating fans like idiots!
You seem happier the stash is gone bro, keep your sanity on that coliseum
Will you do a live stream of building this set in parts
put a towl over the instructions an use an iron to straiten the books
Can you try putting the Death Star inside of the coliseum
Is there a mistake with the Roman Numerals (I’m specifically talking about the 4 on the 4th box where it uses IIII instead of IV)?
That’s how 4 was represented originally
Wish I could of gotten the Coliseum but unfortunately it was too expensive so I was also unable to get their exclusive chariot
This set definitely warrants shaving the moustache.
This looks like so much fun! One small discrepancy - it's weird that they didn't use the appropriate Roman numeral designation 'IV' for box #4.
Number 4 as IIII is historically accurate
This man says he hasn’t gone to Rome while buying thousands of dollars worth of Lego’s
I hope they do the paper part bags soon that's alot of plastic waste In that set
At $650 dollars the manuals should of been hardcover
9000 pieces! Its taken over star wars!😫
Nice intro man
Okay wouldn’t it be easier if you started filming down stairs because honestly you could have tripped when carrying a huge box Down stairs
I was gonna go to bed, then this popped up
Wow amazig
if i spent that much money on one set, i would be mad too that the instruction manuals were bent like that, there should be no reason why it should be like that. i like the millenium falcon manual where it was coiled (i think it's that set)
Hey man, I know if you contact lego about them books they will send new ones for free. I had that happen to my UCS falcon and they sent a new book no questions asked
Did you get the free “A Christmas Carol” lego set with it?
Woaaaah
Wonder how many pieces it would have if the outer wall went all the way around 😄
