“one of the most satisfying things i’ve ever done in my life, is clipping that into place”. ~doesn’t record it~
One of the most satisfying things ive done in my life was boning a 10/10 chick for a week and i didnt record any of it. But my Lego is way more important anyways
The time lapse was essential to capture this colossal build - great job editing. What an epic experience, but I'll bet there's some relief to be done and moving on.
@Tannjam I know it’s a pretty stressful build and by that I didn’t mean that I kept looking for one missing piece and decided quitting lego then when I sat on my chair I found it and built it again totally not meaning me
It’s interesting how many different colors they have in the base part that just ends up covered
It’s probably cheaper to use those colors
@@olivernt2667 surely it would be cheaper to use all the same color?
I can imagine that it’s done that way so it’s easier to see in the manual and to make certain pieces stand out
It’s so when your building the base it doesn’t get to complicated and you can see the difference
Has anyone this Set? How is the weight?
To think, the colosseum was twice the size of what now sits in Rome. Imagine how many pieces it would take to build the whole thing 70AD Style.
Had Lego done the 70AD version, I'd have bought it in an instant. Couldn't see building a ruin. And almost all of the details relating to the original structure are known 😢
@@elliottswanson9307 Yeah honestly. But hey, you can probably make the full version yourself from this base
@@elliottswanson9307 me too, with all the statues and a roof
@@BrickTemplar there isn't a roof for the colosseum
Would definetly be more desirable imo, even considering the price
What a set. I'm interested in how it will look when it lights up. :)
cool right
Ooh yeah
What a great way to start December 2020
40 bags???!!!!! That’s a lot of bags!!!!!
That’s the most out of a lego set
@VitruviusM Most of the steps have 2 bags, plus the 1-2 small bags inside the larger bag for each step. I would say closer to 120 bags in total.
My hogwarts castle has 36 bags almost forty :( and :) at the same time
Can you imagine how beautiful it must have been inside there when it was fully built and active?
That's what I imagined the whole video
Blood
Hey!! You know what’s weird is I feel like I already watched him build it! Crazy lol! Love the music in this video!
Hahar yes. Funny you. I luv to try build it in white red an green bricks.
@@countrabricksbuildcraze8916 lol thanks! Yeah, that would be sweet!
@Bricksie, I have watched more than 6 time-lapse builds of the Roman Colosseum and yours is, without a doubt, the best one. I also really enjoyed your build livestreams of it.
It would be nice if lego made the colosseum from 70AD with all the statues in each window, the colosseum fully restored to its old state
Love this build, the time lapse was great to watch. Thanks Jordan
Awesome, baby!
Ya I bet clicking those huge pieces together was satisfying. Something only a LEGO builder appreciates. 👍
congrates on finishing the biggest lego set
Congratulations 👏
I had not bought a Lego set in probably twenty years prior to hearing about this for the first time. I bought it sight unseen despite the price, with zero regrets. And I was constantly amazed at the level of design ingenuity that went into it during the build. 👍
WoW.....just purchasing this build is a huge Commitment.....and that’s probably as far as a lot of people would get.... a huge project you saw it through to the End Congrats..... I could never have that same passion and commitment as you on this Grand Scale. 🙏
Love the speed build
Great job Editing! Excellent job on the video and the build!
Very nice.
This is cool!! But Lego should make a full version of it like in the Gladiator movie. 😁
Love the look of this set. I think it’s brilliant. Only thing which would put me off picking it up isn’t the cost or repetitiveness of the build. It’s just the sheer size of it. Living in the UK, my house isn’t massive and I don’t think I’d have the space to display a set of this size. It looks big when viewing online, so I can image it being even bigger in real life
Yeah Finally a time lapse of the colloseum It was really good
i was looking for this video for 1 hour!!
Love the real colosseum and this build looks absolutely amazing. Looks really hard work too!
What a massive set. It looks so amazing wow😃😃😃
Brilliant!
Wow what an awesome set, I would've rage quitted within the first few bags😂😂, I don't have as much patience as you to build such a repetitive build, your passion and determination shows your love for lego, all the best & keep on bricking.
I will definitely put some LEDS inside it, what a masterpice😍
I enjoyed watching your speed build video. Good music, the breaks where you say a few words, congrats, and look forward to the next speed build, time lapse video.
Epic time lapse. Good job bricksie
Best lego set ever
Excellent time lapse video to show just how this magnificent LEGO set comes together. Awesome job and appreciate the comments. Exactly how many hours did it take to build? I’ve ordered this set online on Black Friday and still waiting for it to be shipped. Looking forward to the build immensely. Well done Bricksie on your great work in bringing and sharing your joy and passion to the Lego community
holy cow, that thing is massive!
Love the timelapse!
Great job on the editing and love the build
So cool!
I loved your speed build how you took short breaks at key points in the build to comment. Really great review!
Incredible. Have you ever been to Italy Bricksie?
He said no I would love to see it though
He would
It looks so awesome
As always awesome video
It looks really cool
.great job
I LOVE UR VIDS KEEP MAKING MORE OF THESE!!!
I will get this set one day. Gladiators are awesome, LEGO should do more Gladiator themes, a Game Of Thrones theme would have been good too.
Just wondering, how was the repetitiveness of building the large sections of the walls?
I don't think he can explain it in words...... Only with broken nails....
@@yahlifenigstein580 😂😂
It is quite repetitive, but it does help that you end up working towards 8 milestones where you add 4-6 wall sections to the colosseum at once. Each are satisfying and I had a few nights staying up an extra hour to get to those milestones.
Honestly it’s more relaxing than anything. In some other sets it gets annoying to do the same thing multiple times, but I didn’t have that here. I felt really good seeing it all line up in that beautiful familiar pattern and then come together in the end. I had more fun with this than I expected.
Agreed, I didn't find it repetitive at all, just relaxing . Each segment is slightly different from the previous one so there's more variety than it looks
It is not the biggest set, it is the set with the most pieces.
from faraway from some angle, it looks like a big cake! ;)
I've just started my first lego city. Saw the set at the lego store also. It is massive!
Love the way video was edited
Amazing! I love it! I want to challenge myself and build this!
This looks awesome 🤩
That's awesome. I loved the vid. I have that set ordered too. I am excited about that set. Keep up the awesome work. I have been building legos everyday lately, as its to cold for kiteboarding rite now🙂🧚♂️👍👍👍. Have a wonderful blessed holiday sir!!!
colossem: *biggest lego set*
world map: "hold my beer"
Really cool watching this as I watched the live streams
Seen this at the lego store when I went to get my bonsai tree, it's so crazy to see in person!
I love how you did the time lapse while you streamed live.:)
You should do the time lapse for all your builds. Great video
We were watching this video while our 1 year old was eating his lunch and we looked over and he was dancing to the music you play when you speed build, it was his first time ever properly dancing, so we have you to thank for that, haha! 😁
It looks like an incredible build, great video!
YASS for once a time laps vid!
Awesome build, it would be cool if Lego made a set of the undamaged Colosseum!
I must agree I’ve built the set and it’s repetitive to build I can’t say that it looks horrible it’s the most realistic set in my collection
Good job 👏👏👏👏
Great video
cool vd man i was impresst
wow soooooooooooooo cool
I have always wanted the colusseum as it looks like entertainment for a long time
EPIC! Imagine this in non- micro scale!
That flooring is the visitor platform.
Wow you really are a hardworking man
9:23 ANIMANE TOTALY INSANEY
Nice building in front of my brown wall. It blends in.
Yo man awesome stuff I have been dying trying to find the music thought out ur video
INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!hahaha i used caps take that Tannjam
Yesterday's Colosseum stream was crazy
It's epic. I need to see that in the city, please try it out. It would look awesome with a train looping around. You need to make use of your investment with more videos. 😁
Did you ever end up installing a light kit? Do you only recommend light my bricks or are there other brands you’d recommend? Great content, keep it up!
imagine dropping this thing and watching it break into hundreds of pieces
I’d think Those walls would be super repetitive and frustrating to build but worth it
Bricksie yes the light bluish gray 1x3s are true to the colosseum because it was originally red and a blue color and you can still se some of the paint on parts of it the designer said so in the designer video
i just got this. I cant built it until school finished tho. i am super excited
Woaow it is an Enormous work!! Good job!!😁😁
Gee, I didn’t realize it would be that big. I was thinking that it would have been a tad bit smaller but wow, that is impressive.
I also have the Taj Mahal Lego Set and this is also 7965 pieces and took about week to build - very intense build and repetitive also. Good job
Can't decide if I want to pull the trigger on this set... tough call!
SEEMS TO BE A 'FLURRY' of LEGO biggest set ever videos on UA-cam. It seems The Titanic has sunk this set as BIGGEST.
the world map is technically still the biggest
I see what you did there!
This build is simply amazing. I love watching your speed build. It's incredible. So fascinating to see it all come together. You are truly talented. You have a real gift. I so enjoyed this video. Thank you!
oh i just followed you on tik tok today! :D
Having built the Taj Mahal set myself (over ~18hrs) I have a couple questions about this set. Building time-wise, how long did this et take. Also, how much does this set weigh once complete?
Is there a Light my Bricks set available at this moment for the Colosseum? Haven’t seen it yet. Great build by the way!
The Colosseum Is A Cool Set.
I just bought the UCS falcon I now need this 😄
I love just watching you build this is not sarcastic
great do ive just started do lrgo reviews
Wish I had found this before now, this set is currently back ordered, along with titanic. Hopefully they don’t discontinue these
I'm still on the fence about this set especially the price tag for something I'm not sure I really like but it looks like it be a fun build.
I would love to build this
Now do one minifig scale!
It looks like a giant cake that someone took a huge bite out of 😂.
I am amazed that you don't need to sort your pieces when you build something. I always do that first, it makes it feel much smoother for me. An amazing set in any case
A fellow Edmontonian!!!!
