So would a camera recording and a clock like that (is it a specific model approved by guiness world records?) be enough for me to try and attempt to break the record?

@thecouchtripper actually you don’t need an official, but you do need to wait for them to approve it
Actually, it is VERY difficult . First, you need to apply. You wait awhile, and then you go through all this legal stuff, and then they send you a list of about 30 rules to follow. Break them, and you’re disqualified. Also, they get down into specifics, like “You must have it on a level table” or “You must have 3 camera angles records normal and time lapse video. Submitting takes a few hours, then you wait awhile, then get an email to see if you were one of the 70 percent who failed or the 30 who beat it. You get a certificate, a medal, and it’s such a prideful moment to be done with it. So it is really hard breaking records. I’ve tried multiple times myself.

Nearly 10k pieces that need to be assembled in a specific order.
Personally for me, the amount of pieces doesn’t make a set difficult, it’s the design and simplicity of the guide and model that can determine it’s difficulty

I don’t know why I found this so funny.
I myself built this set. It took me over just over sixteen and a half ours spread out across four days. But the payoff is well worth it.
It’s one of f not the most detailed, beautiful and complex sets I’ve ever owned.
And I’m still waiting for someone with a massive debit wish to buy two of these and make a full one.
Only time will tell.
