I’m buying this set as a reward to myself for completing a cross stitch of Van Gogh’s Starry Night. I’ve been stitching it for nearly 2 and a half years and have managed to persevere with it! Going to be a day one purchase from LEGO store for me! So excited ❤️ loved this review Bricksie!

There's a Van Gogh Starry Night LEGO set coming out in 2023 I believe. Not sure if you knew or not.

That Easter egg brick makes me cry … a large company like lego sending a message of love to one single ex employee!
I watched your video and I think ur a cool guy and I think Lego did only make this set because you gave the idea 2 years ago
The 4th funnel was indeed a "decoy" but DID serve a purpose besides asthetics.
While the first 3 funnels were used to vent gasses from the boilers, the 4th funnel was used to ventilate some of the rooms amd smoking lounges on the ship
Those microscale benches are one of my favorite details in this build. Such a simple and ingenious design!
When I was a kid I remember going to the movies to see the iconic film by James Cameron. When I saw the ship I immediately fell in love with it. Not just the ship, but the history and story behind it. I have read different books and watched different documentaries on the ‘unsinkable’ icon. There was even a 3D puzzle variant that I used to have but had to throw it away because it was collecting dust and it was made of paper and sponges and there was no way to wash it. Now here we are years later and Lego drops this legendary bombshell of a model of their variation of the titanic. Seeing the Lego titanic in all of its glory just brings me to tears. Thank you Lego for creating the model, and thank you bricksie for this awesome review. You know, I should’ve sunk the 3-D model for a proper sendoff. That’s just me.
The fourth funnel actually served as a chimney for some of the fireplaces and galleies so it wasnt purely aesthetic
My only complaint with this set is the name plaque. It feels like they just threw it in at the last second. It's really bland, I wish they had done something similar to the plaques that the UCS Star Wars sets get.
Yah thats my one complaint as they just through the letters onto a plaque from the typewritter but i love this set either way
I think it would have looked better if it was gold and black and not silver

@@fastica It's not just the plaque which is better. Also the shape. And not to mention that the model doesn't look like a unicorn having puked inside.
I am most definitely talking my parents into buying me this for Christmas! I always loved building Lego sets and I think with the amount of pieces in this set, building it will be a blast!

Great review - thanks for including the measurements! I have the perfect place to display this set given these. Always expected a Titanic set to be impressive, but this exceeds expectations. Some nice touches. Impressed that it is so easy to break into modules and yet so strong with a simple locking mechanism!

I was always a huge fan of Lego and the Titanic. I remember watching this video about this guy building the Lego Titanic a very long time ago and thought that it would have been so cool for Lego to make a Titanic set, and that day has finally came! This set is absolutely beatiful.
I have the Cobi 1914 set, which I still prefer. This one looks very clunky.
I don't think I will ever get this set, mainly because I can't afford it. But, it is definitely one of the best, if not the best, LEGO set of all time. Great review as always

Thanks you so much for showing the distance between the feet holding the ship up! I'm buying a new cabinet for my office to display the Titanic on, and knowing that distance was crucial.

Thanks for the measurements. It gives an idea of what type of shelving or display cases you might need. Although I heard it's about 14 kg.

I live in Belfast, where Titanic was part built. I would love to get this set and do a live stream charity build, in the same shipyard the original docked or in the neighbouring visitors center.

I have a question for you ... is it impossible to get some light out of the higher windows if there are some led inside the ship ?
The only bad thing about this set the the plaque with the reused typewriter letters. It looks like something they forgot and came up at the last second, it looks really cheap on a deluxe set like this. Everything else, top class!

Just finished watching the series on the Titanic reveal/build/review/placement. Love this set and one I am looking forward to getting at some point (hopefully soon) now that I have a place to put it.
Tiago’s video review included the clip of his reaction during the build when he came upon the instructions of the ‘TC’ piece. A heartwarming clip for sure, because he did not know that the Easter egg had been included in the set (he explains that he had submitted a digital proposal for a Titanic set before he left Lego in 2019, which may have been the catalyst for this set, and the inclusion of the piece a nod from the designers to acknowledge him for it).

Great video Bricksie. Arguably the best set ever in my opinion. Just looks so good. I happen to like the subject matter so maybe I’m a bit bias. When it’s this good, to me the price is irrelevant. Yes, of course it’s a lot, but I think it’s worth it. My only issue is the size and being able to display it in my moderately sized house. That, and trying to convince my wife that it’s ok to display 😂
middle section of the bow with the Compass as the clock is the Grand Stair Case according to the lego developer interview.

Awesome set. I would buy it if I would have the money. Please show us your Titanic in some years again. It would be interesting to see how the darkred and reddish brown pieces look like. Do they get brittle? Do they lost color? Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work. Stay safe.
They forgot to include jack holding rose's hands from the back- pose- figures and place them at the ship's front end...that would have made the whole thing even nicer...😅😅

i got this set for my b-day recently. i really hope they make olympic and britannic cause i would so get them to complete the trio. i doubt they would do it but i would love that. maybe even do some other ocean liners like lusitania

the fourth funnel did actually have a purpose, it was used to ventilate steam from the kitchen and the engineroom.
one thing that they missed is that Titanic actually had 20 lifeboats at the time 16 regular and 4 collapsible. Other than that I think they should tackle a Battle ship next like the Bismarck or Yamato.
They actually do have Collapsible C and D represented by the popsicle stick pieces on the bridge, but it would have been nice to have the other two collapsibles and the two clippers represented differently than the rest of the boats
Pretty cool, are you able to put the front and back sections together and leave out the middle to make a smaller ship?

On the deck behind funnel #1, there is that lone black lego block that looks like something was supposed to get attached to the top of it...like some kind of deck effect or item. This block is clearly in view at 1:46 of your video. What do you think is going on here?? Thanks.

The cables between the 1st and 2nd funnel are missing, between the masts there should be four cables running along the length of the ship, the middle screw has 4 blades in stead of the 3 in the model
Only just seen this today. I've been a lover of lego for ages and titanic since a young boy. No brainer I'm getting it. I would have liked little more technic, and a nice touch would have been a micro Frederick Fleet (lookout) and Smith (captain)... can't wait

I also have this set, did you find some pieces fitted together loosely? Like for example the two propellers at the back one is locked in but the other one is loose, been over the steps to ensure i have done it all correct and it all looks fine.

the center screw (propeller) is connected to a power generator its modeled here but is not visible once built

It looks really good the only 2 things that I would of wanted would be a better nameplate as it does look cheap and secondly I think it would of been fantastic if it could float!!
Went to the lego store today and boy this set is way bigger in person, video does it no justice. I would buy one for the price but it’s a matter of where to put it.

Yes there are 16 life boats on the model. But I like how lego has allso added the two folded down one's above the bridge!

They will most likely receive their own display one, either just before or just after release
I got mine and almost through with it, but what’s been stopping me is twice I’ve come across missing pieces. Really bumming me out. Never in 3 years have I had this issue, but twice in one build. Man it sucks

I have been obsessed with LEGOS and Titanic for as long as I can remember, so ultimately, I will definitely get this set, I just have one concern, are the bags labeled. Because it makes me very un organized when the backs aren't numbered.
Yes, the bags are numbered, 1 thru 46. You don’t have to open Bag 2 until you finish with Bag 1. I did 2-3 bags, took a break, then 2-3 bags again. Every day for a week and it was finished.

10:41 those are LEGO barrels not garbage cans. The garbage cans have a molded handle at each side. 🐾
