This looks so nice, the boringness of the build kinda helps cos I like to turn off when I build lego and just vibe.
You'll definitely enjoy this then as you can fully switch off and go autopilot through half the build. Definitely take your time!
Ye so teriputhic looks amazing also 🤩😜😳😁🦦
And can’t wait to get my hands on it
Right! I’m 20 now and I’m going to have a collection as I age 😂
@@davsquaredo79 I'm 18 soon 19 in 1 month and I will start the Lego technic cuz I got hyped seing my nephews playing Legos I wanted to build too 🤣 there is no real age to play.
The final product and boxes look amazing. But the build process looks absolutely miserable
Yeah, boxes 2 and 3 are especially bad - you're stuck in an endless timeloop of building the same tan section over and over again.
Definitely don't recommend rushing with this build!
@@JaysBrickBlog Thanks for letting me watch your build. You saved me $550
Agreed
This set is impressive and I was going to say exactly the same thing about the repetition issue. I don't mind repetition but this is probably a deal breaker for me or at least until the set price comes down considerably. Great video though so thank! 👍
Still gonna do it

The most satisfying part
This is going to be a hoot, very much looking forward to buying a couple and building one of them.
Definitely the most significant architectural build they’ve put out there. I can say that because because I’m a History Geek and the damn thing looks amazing.
I can appreciate some of the criticism, it is a very repetitive build.
Personally, I think one has to be a VERY big fan of this period and probably a total history nerd to want to buy this and build it.
The historical significance and influence that this particular building has had throughout the world is beyond comparison.
Virtually all stadiums, especially the outdoor ones, can trace a lineage to the Coliseum of Rome.
Let’s not forget that Bruce Lee & Chuck Norris used this place as the backdrop for their famous duel in “Return of the Dragon”
This design is giving me an excellent idea to consider a custom build of the stadium of stadiums made famous in 1959; “Ben Hur”
That would be the Circus Maximus.
Can’t let my kids find out this even exists
I only give this set to my kids when they get straight A'S
It’s probably too late
@@frank.8823 If I had kids, I wouldn't do that, *considering the price of this set*
@@skitz1345 Dont worry.Im sure they wont gets A's until they graduate high school
they probably wouldn’t want it this set would be boring to a kid
My brain melted when I put together my boba fett slave 1 with 2000 pieces....
This?
that slave 1 was a drag
@@Recitetheconstitution drag to build? Cuz that is one of the best star wars legos of all time
to say that my brain melted is an understatement with this build lol
Welp, I know what I want for Christmas
Same bro
@Connor McQuade u get it bro?
Mine just arrived, thanks for the video so I know what I'm in for. I'm ordering a couple of pounds of coffee...thank God I also just retired!
RIP this mans health insurance
it looks great
this is like 4 sets together, LOVE IT
Man this was incredible. One day I want to own this right next to my London tower bridge.
A display of these supersized landmarks all together would be great!
Lego is life And if I had to choose something to pass the time with then it was Lego
Wow! Looks incredible! I don’t think I’ll be getting this one though...
Yeah, it's not for everyone. But if you have the money and space, it's an amazing display model.
@@JaysBrickBlog can I have $550 no reason just family 😆
@@JaysBrickBlog How long should it take to build it?
@Timur Karimov or at least half a day
@Timur Karimov he said it took 15
Love this video. I would love to see a slowed down version. Maybe a few hours or something with the same music. I have this up on the side while working on other things and it's super relaxing to listen to and watch.
When I got finished with this I was looking for a place to display it... the only place in my house where it fit was at the top of my stairs lol
the final result is obviously colossal, the building process must be a kick in the nuts tho! i would get this only to keep it sealed honestly, but if you have a significant place/reason to expose it, it catches eyes for sure!
Just learned about this set and ordered it on the spot. This will be me pretty soon...
wait, its so big that it not only has numbered bags, BUT ALSO NUMBERED BOXES!!!
What bothered me was the fact that 4 was labeled iiii not iv
@@starwarsenjoyer7567 ikr they think us Americans are that stupid
@@wadewilson3296 I mean, some are but not me
@@starwarsenjoyer7567 Apparently the ancient romans also used iiii
This looks way cooler than what I was expecting. Thanks!
I definitely would like to build this someday despite the monotony of it, it'll look great in my office 👌
He took so much time and patience he deserves more subs
That Lego set is amazing he should get way more subs
Slightly triggered that the fourth box is labeled ¨IIII¨ and not ¨IV¨
Learnt during the build that both were used interchangeably in Ancient Rome!
It was the old way of Roman numerals
Incredible, I’m drooling at this set lol
So only need two or three sets to build ancient (not ruined) version ;)
That's so ambitious and a very interesting idea!
Wow complete look is everything! 👍 relaxing build tho
Love the music perfect for this monotonous build!
Wow it is amazing
This Is a good video. I love lego❤️
Great video 👍🌟👍
Thanks!
Hi, I am a new subscriber here. I really like this set and this is the best way to film it 👍
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the video!
I hate how in box 4 they did 4 I’s instead of IV cause they think we’re stupid
Why an extra e?
@@knightofren1789 I honestly don’t know why that e is there. I fixed it tho
Actually, it's explained on Box 4's manual that Ancient Romans used both IIII and IV interchangeably!
Look up watches and clocks with roman numerals. A lot of them use IIII instead of IV.
It's funny you say that, because you're accusing them of thinking you're stupid, but in reality, IIII is a real thing (Google it) and not knowing that actually does make your comment stupid
I realy like your SpeedBuild. from me you get an Abo.
Well at least there is no competition for me and the ucs falcon
Super chill build to watch, thank you! For future speed builds, it might be better to situate the instructions somewhere else; the high speed flickering of your head blocking the camera as you learn in to read it is a little disorienting. Otherwise love it!
Hi Jane, thanks so much for the feedback! Still relatively new to making videos and am experimenting with different setups, but yes, will try to avoid getting my head in the shots! I had to squint at certain sections!
Thanks for the vid. Definitely ordering this. How long did it take you to complete the build?
Took me about 15 hours of blitzing through the build. I recommend taking your time with this one!
Looks nicee
Nice video, I just found your channel and I appreciate the fact that you show yourself, your home and more and not just the set behind a white screen
Thank you! Glad you appreciate it! I'm fairly new to videos, so I'm definitely trying something new to put my own spin on things
deconstructing this set would genuinely take years
I'd just drop it from a ladder to quicken the process tbh.
I mean technically it's been around since rome and it's still not gone so years is an understatement
I’d pick this up day 1 if I had literally anywhere to put it
For anyone who gets this, check out the alternative build (castle) on Rebrickable. It's made of +6000 parts and can be built with the pieces of this set alone...
Nice
Die ga ik zeker kopen
Ik ook
i love legos i usually get small not big sets so i always get sad when i finish building i wish i had money
Cool
Anfiteatro "Flavio"
Che opera d'arte!!!
A dream for meeeee
Amazing. Biggest set I built was the ultimate collectors edition Hogwarts Castle. Took about 50+ hours including a blunder I made with a 1x12. It stuck out one block too far and a side panel for one of the main turrets wouldn't connect. I found this out almost 200 steps later. Took a good hour and a half to correct my mistake without having to take a good chunk of it apart.
You guys think that building this might be a big painful.
But just watching a video is exhausting
WOW
New colors 16x16 in tan
It's actually Olive Green!
A box inside a box inside a box
I got the huge Millenium falcon at 9 in 2018 and built it by myself. This is going to be on my top 3 list for Christmas. This will problebly be #1 on my list. Looks great. Also how did you get this so early
Lego sent him one for an early review.
@@justinwhisenhunt7860 ok thanks
Looks nice and for sure is on my list nice video you have created
Sadler_bricks
Wow
i wan it to christmas
How many spare black technic pins did you have after Box 1? I had 4 but apparently I was supposed to only have 2...
did you find the build repetitive? it looks amazing!
Very repetitive. Was not very enjoyable to be honest.
yeah thats what i thought. it looks incredible while displayed though!
I have mine but i don’t know where to put it besides the big table area will I will make a legal creator landmark
Nice video. how long would you say it took to build ?
Thanks! About 15 hours in total!
where did you display this?
12:56 you can prob build this part with your eyes closed by now 😂
Haha yeah, I was on autopilot for most of the build!
Great video, but how did you get it I thought the release date was November 27
LEGO sent an early review copy!
How did you get this set early? It hasn’t released yet
Maybe LEGO sent the set to him so he can make a video about it
LEGO sent one for an early review :)
@@JaysBrickBlog Well done for building the most boring Lego set of all times :-) Hope you get a lot of views for compensating the time you spent on it.
Box IIII instead of IV, to me that's such a glaringly obvious mistake from lego. 🤦♂️
It's technically correct. In page 30 of Box 4's manual, there's a factoid that said IIII and IV were used interchangeably in Ancient Rome!
@@JaysBrickBlog fair enough, thanks for the info. The set looks amazing but the build looks incredibly repetitive. Nice work!
Also... gate/door 4 of the Colosseum was marked IIII or some shit
next year 2021 lego bring out full original as it was 2000 years ago 13500 pieces $750 😂
Wow this is an absolute beast of a set! Make the Falcon look like a kids toy!(oh wait)
The Falcon is now only the 2nd biggest hunk of junk in the galaxy.
It looks great but it seems too boring to build, it is like building the same block lot of times
Yup. Those wedges that form the inner and outer wall were very very monotonous. You essentially build the same piece about 40 times in a row.
This is bananas 🍌
🙊
I built 75192 when I was 11 back in 2017, kinda sad that I’ll have to get this now to have biggest set!😂😂😂🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️😔😔🙄🙄
Edit: doesn’t matter apparently there is a rumoured 11,000 piece ucs Death Star coming out in September October
Does it blend?
How long did this take!? I've bought both the Lamborghini and Bugatti technics and also the Porsche. Those took me roughly 4-6 days with time inbetween. And those are only 3600 peices
This was the most challenging build I've ever experienced! All up, it took me about 15 hours to finish it!
How long did it take you to build?
how long did it took
How many steps is it in total?
How much time did it took?
bro,you are cool
How long did it take you?
Wahhhhhh
how much time did it take you actually to build this I could see the shadows and tell it took you all day
It took me about 16 hours in total! It was spread out across about 5 days!
He built that fast,it must be record time.
I want to go back to Lego sooooo badly.
It's been years since I've touched Lego or anything.
I go with my friends to comic book stores, Disney stores and Lego stores.
They buy something everytime we go yet I get nothing. I always desperately want something in the stores but my family has a certain expectation of my due to my age (18 but even when I was younger, they implied I was too old for all this)
Recently I've just been wondering to myself, are they right? Am I just too old for all this stuff? Looking at it makes me really happy tho, it takes me back to happier days but the more they say it, the more it makes sense.
Idk if they're right or wrong, it confuses me quite a lot.
Hey mate, thanks for sharing your story. I think if you want to get back to LEGO, you absolutely should.
I'm in my 30s and work in my corporate environment, and plenty of older people enjoy LEGO, from general managers to senior leaders - its not childish at all and I think if it'll make you happy, you should absolutely pursue it.
There's a great quote I love from CS Lewis, which I hope will help you on your journey
Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.
@@JaysBrickBlog Thank u so much for putting in the time to give such a helpful and descriptive opinion.
I never thought thinking to 'act like an adult' was a limit on development.
I guess doing what u wanna do is the most grown up thing u can do.
I'm going back into Lego, I've decided.
You're most welcome! Wish you all the best with rediscovering your love for LEGO!
They should make a add onn to make it complete.
Buy 2 sets u get a compile colloseum
next year in 2021 it will be lego colloseum 2000 years ago full building 13500 pieces $850 😂
Are your hands ok?:P
Wow, for 9000 pieces that instruction book looks mighty thin.
There are four books! One in each box
Aah, that explains it.
i thought because once you built a part, then you were told 30x 😅
how did you get this so early
LEGO sent it over for a review!
😱
The kids and the cats have new boxes too.
The 6,000 piece Harry Potter Hogarts castle seems a lot more fun to build compared to this. This still looks amazing though
just out of curiosity, how much time did this take irl?
Took me about 15 hours!
I have a Lego set with 9700 pieces the iorn man ultimate art
Is this from the fight scene on Geonosis? Would have been nice if they included some mini figs. Maybe a couple of Jedi and some battle droids.
Not sure if joking or actually serious...
@@BascarooMuffins Micro figs might be closer to scale, but it would just be nice to display with like some of the other UCS sets. That said, some of the old advent calendar builds like the spider droid and LAAT republic gunship will be close in scale. Probably also would have been nicer in that dusty pink colour, but maybe tan is cheaper? Looks good though
@@shamusot00le my dude this colosseum is the one built in Rome, Italy. Not from Star Wars
Bruh lmao
@@BascarooMuffins Hmm.. don't know about that. Pretty sure he's based in Australia and, with all that's going on at the world, can't travel internationally. I don't think he built this in Rome.

i wonder why companies have to put logos on shipping boxes
how many bags does this set have. (bye millenium falcon)
40 bags!

I may not have the space.. I may have the money.. I will be buying and making a coffee table out of it
Same problem here. I'm considering getting a new table just to display this
@@JaysBrickBlog lol. mine will be living above my wardrobe until i find my own place to build a coffee table.
BOX IIII INSTEAD OF BOX IV? ARE LEGO NOT AWARE OF HOW THE ROMAN NUMERAL SYSTEM WORKS? tbf not everyone knows roman numerals so it would be easier to put iiii instead of iv so people know what box to use lol
In the manual it explains that the romans used both IV and IIII
