    This is one of my favorites! I make this blanket on repeat and it’s just so much fun! The stitches let you zone out after you have the pattern and the texture of the blanket afterwards is impressive! Seriously love this one!

    Can’t believe I missed this tutorial. So pretty. Started it today and I love the texture. Also going to make some washcloths with the same pattern

    Well, here is another blanket I just have to make. Looks perfect for making preemie blankets. The nurses want square blankets so they can swaddle the babies easily and this fills that bill.

    I love the look of this blanket, but I just can’t get the center started correctly. So frustrated. :-(
    I’m an intermediate crocheter - I’ve been at it for about 6 years and have made a wide variety of projects.
    I’m using 3 weight yarn and just can’t see which stitches are which in the first round. I’ve tried it three times using stitch markers and STILL can’t get it.
    Can you please help? There’s a pair of twins expected this summer in the family and I’d love to make a pair of blankets with this pattern!

    Any idea why I keep coming up 1 stitch short on the 4th side of each round? I've taken it all apart and starts again several times and keep running in to the same problem. For example I'll have 4 double crochet on sides 1-3 but when I get to the 4th side I meet the corner before I can do the 4th dc. I end with the sc and hdc to join.

    What a beautiful blanket. Lovely colour. Do you colour code when using Caron cakes?

      At the top of the screen is a settings icon. If you click on that there’s a drop down menu. You can adjust the speed of the video.

    How do you continuous got round without the join as it looks like a seem?

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  3 роки тому

      The middle would have to be redesigned to do the spiraling effect. That would require research and a re-write to make that happen. I don't have an immediate answer for you.

    Love the look with this pattern. What row would be good to change colors?

    • @kimberlyjohnston2726

      They said its using caron cakes, so theres 4-5 colors per cake

    Would you do a color change on the hdc join?

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  2 роки тому +1

      You could. If you prefer do a ch 2, join and then change colour.

    I'm pretty experienced crochetedr but these instructions...way too fast and you need to zoom in on the stitches.

      I’m sorry about that. The pattern link is in the video description as it may be better for you.

    Sorry, but when I think if lemon, I see yellow. Why do so many patterns seem to be, pardon the expression, 'bland, dull, and cold'? Where are the vibrant jewel tones, and brilliant colours that are out there sitting on store shelves, and if I go by the patterns that I keep seeing, being ignored? Sorry... I really do like many of your videos, but I tend to turn away when the colour scheme is grey, greyish blue, black, dull colours. It is almost like the rest of the colour spectrum doesn't exist. Brilliant greens, sunny yellows, striking orange, rich reds, glorious blues, eye catching purples, and grand violets. It is like no one uses them any more. All of the dull, monotones get depressing...

      The stitch used is called the Lemon Peel Stitch. Thus the name. It's about the stitch, not the colour itself. Trending right now are the winter darker colours and it will switching in a few months up to lighter and colourful.

      @@TheCrochetCrowd When doing the corner with the HDC and you are on the last round (could be any pattern), how do you finish the corner? Do you just do a ch2 and slip stitch to the first stitch (which is the HDC) in that corner and tie off? Or is there some other way you end and tie off?
