This IMO is one of the most fabulous afghan patterns EVER!!! TY both for everything....I can hardly wait to get started on it !!! Love and hugs to you both 🤗 ❤️ 💖 💗 💓
I just wanted to thank you for this wonderful video. I am legally blind and found your directions very easy to follow. I’m enjoying this pattern a lot. A little more difficult for me because no colour contrast but I am persevering and loving it. Thank you all the way from South Africa.
You make me laugh, besides being the best teacher in croche, i am 62 and crocheting since i was 10 with my mom but you have teach me so much i really appreciate 👍
Mikey, I appreciate your teaching videos along with your thoughtful free patterns. On a tight budget I never seem to have the extra money to buy a written pattern. Thanks for always making my day - A Mikey subscriber and fan!
What a beautiful design! I would definitely make this in an Ombre yarn, and since there are no babies and no future babies, I would make this for either my couch or for my bed. Thank you Mikey!
I didn't like the half double crochet join at first but kept at it and find that I do indeed like it and it looks a little better (to me) in my projects.
I can say after coming back after about a year and a half I’m so happy this channel has reached 1million subscribers, I am a quite young person and learnt crochet about 2 years ago, you definitely helped that happen… so I can only say *Thank You*
Hi Mickey, I love this pattern. I appreciate this tutorial. I am inspired each time you bring a new pattern. Keep hooking and please be yourself. It adds a little touch of spice. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.😊
Thank you for sharing. This seems to be a little to complicated for me right now so I will come back later to actually try this pattern. I absolutely love the texture so I will be coming back. Once again great job explaining.
First time to your channel my mom tought me to crochet when I was 16 years of age. I'm 61 and still crocheting on. I have made srveral blankets and scarfs. My wife Tammy had a idea and I adde a hood to the scarf and have had several request for it. My projects are done as I go. Keep crocheting. John
Hiya Mikey I'm from North wales ,UK I'm loving your tutorials of textured blankets you are an amazing tutor ,love your accent thank you for teaching me xx
Thank goodness you show how to make these. I can't read patterns. I finished your calming comfort blanket yesterday. I used white, light pink & dark pink yarn. I think it looks beautiful.
Love this pattern! With the crossed stitches, does it matter if you cross them at the front instead of going into the back as you’re doing?? I find it easier crossing at the front
I love, love, love your projects. The only thing I genuinely wish is that the camera spent longer than a second showing off the finished work, so we can get a real feel for the completed project and how it looks.
Once again you are the master crotchet teacher, thanks Mikey, & thanks Jeanie for a beautiful pattern. Love your work, both of you 💖 from a Western Australian fan 😊😋🤗😍💖🇦🇺 I love Canada🇨🇦
Hi Mikey , just want to say I love the look of this . I really want to try this after I get the two Afghans I am working on now done . Thanks for all the new information the u vedio .😊👍
I.loved the pattern. I'm not sure if I can do all of that. It looks complicated. I am sure that I will pick up on it once I get it started. I bet it would look awesome with the burgundy ombre and cream on the dcps. I will have to add it to my list of things to make.... It's getting longer as the days go by. Bye
I use the half double join or the single join on all of my center out blankets. I use self striping yarn. I hate changing colors don’t like weaving in ends.
Wow, this one was a bit taxing at first - never done that cross stitching before, or back post double crochets, but I think I managed it nicely after a few (dozen) tries! It always sucks noticing halfway through a round that you made a mistake the round before, but at least it was one I was able to hide! 😅
Love this pattern, can I get written instructions? I have a hard time following you. Thank you for sharing this amazing pattern. I’m finally getting the hang of the never ending granny ❤️
I am working on this blanket and there is a lot of ends to weave in and you are using an ombre yarn. Is there ombre yarns that work better for striping purposes? I am rethinking all the color changes.
Holy Crocheting Puppy Dawg’s!! I JUST got my order of Caron Jumbo Ombré in Faded Jeans that I was intending on using for a cardigan. NOT NOW!! I zeroed in on this pattern when it popped up but wasn’t in the mood to do a ‘change the colors’ mood. HOWEVER, when you brought out the Ombré, TA DA!!!!! Thank You, AGAIN, Mikey. When I’m finished my afghan, where would I send the pics to? Insta or FB? Thanks!
Please film a video on how to do different stitch oatterns in one blanket. I am doing a granny square and I want to interchange between 2 colors. 1 color granny stitch 15 rounds 1 color any different stitch next 10 rounds, alternating back and forth I don't see any videos on how to do this
We have a blanket in our video library that is similar to what you described. It can help get you the look you seek so you can add your own creative vision. ua-cam.com/video/tTHRnfRSypY/v-deo.html
Nice. The pattern will come out as soon as Jeanne has finalized it. She's in the middle of a wnter storm in the midwest. We are going to get clobbered tomorrow.
In the description of the video and the pinned comment- you will find the link for the free pattern. On the link, the name of the blanket is a link to the free PDF for the pattern. Happy Stitching
Then don’t use it. Always do what makes you happiest. It’s crochet and an art, not math where the answers are the same fir everyone. Enjoy your weekend.

I know right? I just finished buying yarn for another project from Mikey!

Great job Mikey. You make it look easy.
I finished this one last week. Lots of fun to do and worked up really quickly.
That's great.
Did you find that you had to use a third skein of With Love for color A?
@@mralwjenkins I didn't use the recommended yarn.
Beautiful Blanket. I was surprised at how simple it was once I started it. Thank you for making tutorials that are clear and easy to understand.
You’re welcome 😊
I've used this corner technique for years, but I'm OLD.. 😂 Makes a much better looking corner.
Is old such a thing? haha
@@TheCrochetCrowd For me it is and very real. You've given me New inspiration this morning Mikey. But then you always do. :)
Been looking for a pattern for a blanket for my Grandson whose nursery is in black, white and red. This is perfect!
We are glad to help.
This is a beautiful pattern but I think it is more advanced than EASY. Hopefully, I can make it after I progress. Definitely saving it for the future.
You can do it! You're right, it's straddling that Easy/Intermediate line in the sand.
Love the textures. And it looks fairly easy. Thanks!
Thank you.

How many skein did you go through.. love the colors
Red Heart® With Love™ (198 g / 7 oz, 338 m / 370 yds)
Color A - White - 2 balls
Color B - Peach - 1 ball
Color C - Minty - 1 ball
I noticed the yarn changed color at 11:05 in round 4 are you using an ombre yarn here?
Lovely! ❤️
Thanks.
Hi Mikey, Lovely pattern...😍
Can't we do the cross stitch from the front rather than going through the back? Thank you...🤗
Do it whichever way it works for you. If you are constantly doing it the same, no one will know you didn’t match his stitching exactly
Do the pattern in the manner to be consistent. If you prefer it different than the way I did, just do it. your own way.
Is there a slower version of this?? Usually mikey goes slow, I can't see what his hands are doing
Mickey is it possible to get free written directions for this blanket

Confusing. Not sure my brain can relate but I'll give it a good try.
How many of the large skeins of yarn did you use?
