best tutorial i have seen in years great work!!!!
Thanks for your appreciation👏😊
My fav part is they aren’t using torque specs, I never been a fan of them 😂 always though who cares if it’s for my scooter
You guys make a great instructional video, it was just a pleasure to watch! ☺ I'm 66 and still fiddling about with scooters and other two strokes, mainly veterans. But my son has a Zip that got scored, so he's putting on the same Malossi sport cylinder. Already had the same exhaust, Leo Vince. So he was over the hill when I sent him a link to this video.. A very professional video production, and you blokes are entertaining. Thanks !
Thanks MrWhiteamin, appreciate the kind words mate👏 The Zip is an amazing little scooter, heaps of fun for street riding.
62 and still love building fast 2 stroke scooters
Two true professional's, great video footage and extremely well explained. Well done guys
Thanks Brett🙌 awesome comment!
I've been pretty experienced tuning small 2 strokes with manual gearboxes. And I got myself my first ever scooter a couple months ago and it's been really hard for me to tune my rollers, clutch bla bla. This video is definetly very informative about how this stuff works. I am confident that I again can take upon the challange and get this thing running like it should.
Go for it! Test and learn, can't go wrong. Be warned, once you start it is hard to stop tuning.
Guys, massively appreciate the video. It was so comprehensive and I came out with a whole lot more knowledge. Thank you so much and I wish you all the best.
Amazing to receive such a complimentary comment, thank you Charles. All the very best for you too👍🦘🦘

NO WAY! I never been so proud to be italian like today hahah. Well done guys, it's so satisfing that Zip is loved till Down Under. I'm now subscribed :)
What a beautiful comment! Thank you Giuseppe Bonaviri. We love Italian Scooters in Australia🛵
@@scooterstreetau this is one more reason for me to come there 😁
The inlet plate in the carburettors mouth (brass plate) is not a restrictor, it’s actually serving its purpose delivering air flow into the right areas of the carb through the air holes. Often people believe it’s restricting the flow of air, but after performance parts get the jetting right with this little plate still in you will be onto a winner👍🏻 try with and without you’ll notice the sharper response and reliability from keeping the plate as is
Thank you, really appreciate your experience... keeping it in does give better fuel consumption👍
Great video, really shows how to get the work done!
Thanks Salttoo.
Thats the most cleanest zip 2t i have probely ever seen in my life . All the other ones got damage or are customized. That exhaust is pretty good though. Would not have expected that.
Yes it was in new condition and all original. Very rare indeed.

i have been struggling with my vespa sprint for a while i normally only work on classic scooters but now thanks to you guys i found a couple of my bikes problems and got some really good tips. thank you so much!
Really good to hear this. We struggled for many years trying to pioneer solutions to the many problems these little scooties present.
Great feature length episode guys. Looking forward to seeing more similar content.
Who doesn't love changing clutch springs? 😂
Paul, thanks for the support :) More Vids in the pipeline.
Does this kit change your auto transmission to manual?
Reminds me of the old days. One day i walked up to the nearest motorshop i always got my stuff. Walked up to that guy and asked him that i was looking for a Polini EVO 70CC for Piaggio. Back then the kit to have (15+ years ago or so). I saw his eyes grow and the next thing he said to me "What the Heck do you need that Kit for??" i imediatly realised i was not going to get that Kit at that time. His reaction on my question was priceless, something i have never forgotten. :) At some point i ended up having the desired kit and it was great fun. Just dont get caught when you run it in the streets.
Good story Johan, 15 years ago only Scooter tuners would have known of these parts😜. The first time someone asked me if I had any Polini stuff I pointed towards the fruitshop down the road.😂
Excellent ! ...well done ! 👍
Thank you👌
This is the best most clea,r concise instructional video i have seen on my bike. Its told me everything i needed to know in less than an hour. Thanks guys.
So cool, thanks Gt 6. Glad it helped🙌

Well done guys, super happy with all of my purchases and support
Thanks for your support! All the best.
does the piaggio zip have the same engine as the aprilia sr50 2019?
You probably noticed apart from the water cooling system on the SR50R, the base of the 2 engines are the same. You will notice between the Piaggio/Aprilia 2T models they look the same but each model has a different transmission length to accommodate the rear wheel, this includes each model running a different belt size to connect variator to the rear pulley.
I believe 2019 SR50R has the new Euro 4 emissions system also, which uses a different carburettor, stator, coil and CDI/ECU. It also has the larger temp sensor on the head, and the solenoid air valve for the electronic control of the carb.
@@scooterstreetauwith the length difference would it be worth sourcing the longer transmission to help with wheel lift?
Yes if that is the goal.@@jaredpursey3791
Jeez boys, I had my fist in my mouth whilst you were torquing that head down. Great video.
All for the love of scooters😉
Just to be fair, I have enjoyed thoroughly the video and brought fond memories back :)
Just to point out when you talk about "this isn't ideal to go super fast" perhaps you ought to know that there is a quite active racing scene where these little buggers go up to 160 Km/H
Thank you, and yes we are aware of the Zip race series. Are the race Zips the SP water cooled version? This one is air cooled base model version.
@@scooterstreetau Absolutely correct, the SP is the water cooled one, but to the best of my knowledge it should be possible to convert any version to liquid cooling: the only hiccup would be with the clearances in the leg shield trim, as there's a storage compartment that would interfere with the radiator's positioning. For the sake of honesty though, I'm not going to vouch about the accuracy of the info, it's something I recall from when the SPs where just hitting the market in Italy some 10+ years ago
@@LucaFiltroMan We have done this conversion. We took an air cooled Zip and fitted the Radiator with electric water pump, cooling hoses and the water cooled racing cylinder along with many other tuning parts. We also changed the front panel and fitted a genuine SP front cover so the incoming air could meet the radiator. The performance was as you described, Ridiculous power!! This was an expensive project... We lalso did the Superman theme custom paint job and it did fly🤣🤣.
Wow had a severe case of nostalgia kicking in watching this, i’m from belgium and almost 38 but was doing the exact same thing since i got my first mobilette called the honda camino at the age of 16 , ended up going to school learning all of it and not just placing parts etc, now after 2 strokes i suffered at 34 wich paralized my left side so its kind of hard to watch without feeling the pain of damn the days where i was ok but it feels great!, you got yourselves a huge fan!, in my days it was either the dick ring or just dick for the exhaust🤣 how are the laws on tuning scooters in australia? We had cops stopping you randomly where they were standing near a random road with a portable speedometer to check 😫 they confiscated it to give you permition like a month or god knows how long to pick it back but with all the illegal parts removed for you by their own pissed off mechanic if you catch the drift lemme go check your ig out peace!
Gday mate and welcome, Great comment thank you! See you're never alone😁😂.In Aus we do not have these rules, the country only adopted emissions rules 12 months ago.🦘
Wow and the Cops remove the parts? Hard core.. Over here no such thing, only speed and Hooning laws. All the best🛵🛵

Excellent, knowledgeable, concise video.

the "emission controller" is actually there to provide a certain amount of oxygen in the catalysator that is in every single stock pipe in european bikes, and theres a check valve so that the exhaust gasses dont go into the variator case or where ever the pipe takes the air from
Great videoes and work ive been races kx 500s quadzillas and turbo street/street bikes for 30 yrs now and im loving these little 2 stroke rippers and builds i may sell two of my big bore bikes and get 5 more of these 2 strokes i just picked up a yamaha qt 50 and a yamaha riva lol

Great stuff, very happy for you😆. Note: The lighter rollers will allow the engien to rev easier but go too light and you will loose pulling power through the mid range. Fitting a clutch or fitting tighter clutch springs will make a positive difference to the rpm build and the initial acceleration.

What is the final steps now to get it adjusted right?
There are two types Dellorto PHVA 17,5 models.
A modified "low emission" type named "OD" with a fat needle, smaller cut away and different needle jet (emulsion tube)
The other one is the "normal" one named "TS. Thats the one to go with. Much more easy to tune in, especially in the middle range.
Thanks EnergyXyx, this is great information🙌. There are more than 11 PHVA in 17.5mm range. Parts change between them such as the slides, needles, atomisers, jets and so on. Heaps of info on Dellorto Uk website for anyone needing.
@@scooterstreetau yes there are so many models, but just stay away from the bad Euro4 - OD models. The good ones often comes with A20 needle and a 40 degree cutaway throttle slide.

This titorial made me have the balls to buy a 70cc malossi sport to my Piaggio zip 02 2t... Finished it yesterday and tried it on today. I listened to my friend regarding to the jet, he told me mid 90s but i habe a 96 now and i cant even lile gove it more then 1/4 of gas before it starys to like blurr and lost power . I will try a 88 jet tomorrow.
And also order a weight kit. I already have a jet kit.
I also have a malossi fly clutch with bell i have to put on. But thinking i had to run in the new malosssi cylinder first?
Thanks for this video much appreciated ❤❤💯💯
Well done! and a great achievement to have a go, I am sure it will be a success. With the basics, only ever change one part at a time, cylinder first then a quick start, then start the jetting. Start at your 96 and then move down to the 92-90-88 and when it becomes clean on throttle go back up 1 jet and ride it for a fuel tank and then retune. Yes you will notice the revs and movement may not be at their peak so leave the rollers and just add tighter clutch springs or the Mal clutch. and then again test ride and let it settle, adjust as necessary. Then repat with the next part and so on🚀
That small intake pipe for air come true I would not takeout from air filter otherwise I difficult adjust airflow and the carburetor hasn't worked properly.
It works very well for us👍 but you must adjust the carby tuning.

when i put on the exsast and the variator kit with a 72 in the carb it almost dosent go forward. what can the problem be
Your issue is very common, you have not made all the required changes to the engine. Go back to the start, remove all the parts and fit only the Variator first and then test ride. If all is OK then move to the next step. When we fit an exhaust you should watch one of earlier videos to see what other parts MUST be changed to get satisfactory result. Also watch the clutch springs set fitting video.
This video will help for the exhaust part of your project. ua-cam.com/video/kFr0nwXf448/v-deo.html&ab_channel=ScooterStreet

Hi there, back again we finally fitted the parts to the scooter.
Malossi variator with 7.5Gram rollers and added yellow clutch springs as well as the yasuni exhaust. And a malossi air/sponge filter
Fitted a new carb as well as the other one had been abused and the thread on the main jet had been stripped.
Took it for a ride out yesterday and acceleration was weak and top speed to 60 kph. Also main jet size is around a 65 jet according to the box on the new carby. This wasn’t good enough so had to swap the main jet to a 78! And this seems to have helped ever so slightly.
On this video you were getting 80kph with very similar parts. What do you think I’m doing wrong?
Hope you could shed some light on how I can fix the slow issues.
Appreciate your knowledge
Also tipped for a coffee guys hope you received it
Hi Callum, Thank you so much for the Coffee, so appreciative.
What Yasuni? Z or R? Did you derestrict the exhaust?
Move rollers to 5.5 gram. then move up or down in weight as required. 5.5 may be too light but you will know first ride.
Let the carby warm up so it is not on choke. ride for 3 minutes then tune and judge.
D you have a 70cc kit fitted?
@@scooterstreetau hey guys, it’s a Yasuni R that has been derestricted. Ok will try the rollers. Bike has always been running a few minutes before taking it out for a spin. It’s still a 50cc on the scooter for now.
Thanks again
@@callum14p Ok, the Yas R needs very light rollers with a 50cc kit, give it a go and let us know 👍👍
Well actually when u upgrade ur motor and motor parts u have more power so actually you should put less stiffer springs on the clutch cause the motor has more tork and doesn't need to stard reving verry high before clutching the wheel just so u guys can know
Hey Alixglow, whatever works for you and what your riding style is, so go for it. Good to hear your comments.
We would apply a stiffer clutch spring set to delay the engagement of the clutch. Some of the race brands have designed a HIT clutch which allows the rev to build and then the clutch will engage to boost the initial acceleration. If you have less tension on the clutch springs the clutch will be engaging at idle, have seen this many times before.
The zips are very nice you don’t see them in the USA often I bet they would sell fast here
They would have been a huge seller in USA.. Very popular in all markets.
Cilinder is way to tight. Use a torque wrench. M7 12-13NM , M6 11NM more then enough. If the cilinder can't expand piston will scratch the wall. And the spark plug needs 1 figure colder then stock. Air cooled ngk is 7, you need 8 then. I have a scooter repair shop to. Nice work 👍. I have never measured squish not even with racing cilinders and i have build a lot of 20-23hp scooter engines. Only of they come with multiple gaskets, you could do that. But extreme high compression also means using super unleaded
Great comment, thank you, it is refreshing to hear from other shop owners who have a ton of experience.
We have a set system when we fit even a standard 50cc cylinder and based on experiences and many mistakes over the years we have come up with this system. It works for us. We try to do all the checks and tests including the piston wall clearance to obtain the best result.
@@scooterstreetau it's important to use a torque wrench on the cilinder
Brilliant video. Am after a bit of help with my zip my set up is stage6 70sport kit

Any help would be much appreciated Cheers
Thank you Joe🙌 Let the engine warm up to operating temp before making a judgement on the tuning. Is it auto choke or manual choke?
I've got my Zip 50cc cylinder up to 75km/h on the flat (modded Carby, pipe, clutch, variator and I'm rather light) and suspension isn't Ideal lol, very light forks have almost no road holding through bends, currently working on an SP front end swap...It's fair to say this lil thing scares me more than my other bikes simply because it feels like it's gonna crash every second corner 😂
Nice work. Haha yes the steering is lost when riding the Zip. Set the seat on the lowest position and hang on..
Pipe? Exhaust right? Not familair with how they name the parts in english.
@@emirhan030 yes, the same meaning👍
With gearing 15/38, all the other mods except DR evo (2 foot gaskets no headgasket) and Sito exhaust you can do already around 105 GPS after some slight mods to Exhaustport and Reedcase. I think your setup is far from optimised. That exhaust also kinda screws the powerband the Mallossi sports likes.
Nice to hear👍👍
Yesterday I assembled the cylinder. As if I did everything well, I think I put the rings on well. I did cylinder break in today. For the first five minutes, I let it work on idle speed. I let it cool completely. Now it starts very hard, Fires up, works for one second and then goes out. What could be the problem? Could it be the seize? Also it has very high compression
Did you do all the system checks before changing the cylinder? Did you change the jet?
Perfect video easy to understand explanation, I’m looking at modding up my tnt Roma 2t I believe it has a Yamaha 2 stroke, would these parts (mainly the exhaust and cvt parts) be easily compatible with it? Thanks!

Thks four your excellent job I have a Piaggio Zip I like to fix a Malossi 70cc kit on I have a Sp3 Liovince exhaust de restrict can you please let me know whitch carburettor jet size is work better thank you very much
It would be somewhere between 80 and 90. You need to get a range of jet sizes (jet kit), start at around a 90, test ride, reduce to the next size down, repeat until the bike runs cleanly. Taking a shot in the dark on a jet size is very commonly the cause of piston seizure.

Thank you mate👍. If you derestrict the carb only there will be no noticeable gain, due to the balance being over weighted with air. In effect you are giving too little fuel. We want an increase but a balanced ratio of fuel and air. Thanks for the SUB🎅😎

Really interesting video, watched the whole thing. One question (which I couldn’t find in other peoples questions), would it be the same process for the Vespa 2 stroke 50cc? Thanks and greetings from UK
Hi, and thank you. Yes the Vespa 2 stroke and the Zip 2 stroke are the same engine..👍
i have a question, when i am riding and suddenly break very hard and stop, my moped dies if i dont rev it while breaking. otherwise drives very good and mixture and everything is correct
You may have an issue with the carby or fuel related. This could be the choke, an air leak in the rubber that is jolted when braking or carb setting need adjusting. Even worth checking the wires to the stator and the connectivity.
Hey Guys! Would you be so kind to specify (stiffness/ rpm) the clutch springs you’ve ended up installing? Color codes are sosososo different from brand to brand. Are they the blue ones from the Malossi MHR spring kit?
Thank you for your recommendation on the exhaust, I’ve got the Yasuni R 💪🏻☺️
So right now we have the 70 MHR replica, 22 phvb, and the yasuni. Which color would you recommend to opt for from the delta clutch kits (white, green, yellow/red blue black)? Can’t decide between the yellow or red ones. They both target 6-8000 rpm in the manual, but the red ones are stiffer. 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for the help and the amazing support for the community
In this video we installed the blue leo vince springs on this particular bike. The TT and Malossi Sport cylinder make a fair bit of torque down quite low in the rev range so the springs didn't need to be drastically increased.
On your bike with the parts you've mentioned, I would aim for around the 6k rpm engagement. The MHR Rep is a great street cylinder because it offers a fair bit more performance than the Sport kit - but in a much lower rev range than a race kit. Its making really good torque around the 6k rpm, much more than that will more than likely lead to clutch glazing and then slipping. You'd really only go for more than 7k rpm engagement on a bridge port race kit which needs big rpm to make power. We often preference the Polini G3, the adjustability is quite user friendly, but the Delta is also a great clutch.
Use yellow or white springs. And a white contra spring. Avoid red springs they're only decent for a race clutch with the 94cc malossi kit.
@@JDMz We've found the yellow Malossi springs to be ideal with most basic 70cc cylinder kits and exhausts, the white can often be a little too close to factory. Factory or white contra is great with a basic 70cc build for sure.
Doing a similar build this week!
Unsure if to get a new cast iron kit or a mhr kit second hand but it has a brand new piston with it
If the MHR is in very good condition, value hard to pass on that.. if a first build go for cast.
Please do more like this. Also could you do a wheelie build on a zip or another scooter
Always trying. Time is our Kryptonite.
What was the speed after building?
approx 90kph
48:00 Air intake resonaces mean lot. Right lenght is very important. Only way to find it is testing.
Yes...
I wish they had the zip in the USA… rare bike around here..
Really? No Zips.... What Piaggio do you have?
The 4 strokes.. piaggio fly.. Vespa and typhoon are here and there
Will I need to buy a new crankshaft if i put a 70cc cylinder kit on?
Yes this is the best approach. It is not necessary but an old work crank or bearing will not last long in to the future.
Was it just me or was them reed petals not sitting flush against reed valve holder..
Pressure from the crank and piston closes and the vacuum from the piston opens. So yes, it may be seen the petals are not touching the closed face.
I watched this video as a guide to install my Polini 70cc, with a Technigas silent pro exhaust and 17.5mm dellorto carburetor with a free flow air filter... I was just asking that how my jet size has gone from 84 to now 115, and it runs everything better but like, I had the 84 for quite some time and it thought it had enough several times, because it was running too lean. Fixed the lean issue and hoping that I don't have to open the engine this time.
Thanks B.E. yes true! the free flow air filter (POD) will require large amounts to fuel to balance the fuel air mix. You may also require lighter rollers to build RPM. 84 is very lean for that type of air filter, so I am glad to hear you tuned out the issues👍
@@scooterstreetau it just took two pistons to me to realize that was the problem. And I highly considering by buying a new 70cc Polini Sport kit, just so I can drive in peace without myself worrying about it. It has survived now closer to 1000km with that piston, record for that moped on one pistol so far, but what worries me is the vertical lines inside on the cylinder. I have a camera that I could stock through the spark plug hole and see the problems...
@@basicallyedward Your not alone, for a daily I prefer to use a modified air box.
@@scooterstreetau yeah but what you guys say about vertical lines on my cylinder?
@@basicallyedward There should not be lines on the cylinder. When you run lean with an under fuelled system damaged is caused due to excess heat.
Can only finds mallossi sports 70 kit would you still recommend only putting on the 70 cc kit?
Malossi or any of the other performance brands will be fine.
Really enjoyed the explanations and video.
Wanted to ask is there a needle position that needs to be changed or just changing the main jet?
Also Iv seen other engine building videos with cars they don’t use oil in piston or cylinder they use WD40 because it lubricates it until the heat burns it off to commence breaking in between rings and cylinder.
Lastly I was in Thailand and saw someone rebuild a 125 2 stroke he disconnected the oil feed to the cylinder to break in the rings initially have you heard or seen this done?
The main jets 88 in the end, skip the video to 52:00 for a run down. After 2 weeks we followed up with a systems check, we finished the carby with an 85 main JET, Needle is an A22 Middle notch.]
For the WD40 question, 4 stroke system is different, the 2 stroke system has oil and fuel in combustion so it might be best to run with oil...
Hi guys hows it going great video I’ve got a standard 2011 zip 50cc the same as the bike you have here I have bought and installed a Leo Vince exhaust (same as one in video) and the blue clutch springs that come with it also some 6.5 gram mallossi rollers I have also put a 62 jet in the carb the bike starts and ticks over but won’t go more than 10-15 mph could this be just down to carb tuning or is it something else ?🤷🏼♂️
Hi Jay, Thank you👍 Always a good idea to have the scoot running well first. If there are any issues, correct them before proceeding. Is the Leo derestricted? Is the engine spluttering or does it slowly loose power?
Move the needle to the middle notch, Try the 60 Main jet. Report back👍
Hello, i have a dellorto 17.5mm on my piaggio zip and it spits fuel into the air intake and often floods the engine after fueling up and mixing the fuel what could be the issue my main jet is 74
Check the fuel tap and float level.
The best video. You are the best! But tell me, at a 2001 Aprilia Sr 50 AC I manage to do it on the street combining with a 70 cc Malossi engine set, with an RMS trim ?? Thank you. hello from Romania.
crankshaft RMS
Yes you can do it.. Thank you for supporting us👏
Hi, what is the final setup with this 70 malossi kit? Rollers gr, main jet etc
Thank you so much
See the description☝
Thank you, and the final roller weight please?

Ever heard about the PM Tuning 70cc kit and if it works great on piaggio zip?😁
Yes we have, we had 2 Italian Techs and they said the PM Tuning were fantastic Kits🤙
Hi guy’s, great video. I just picked up an 09 Aprilia SR50 Ditech. Lots of discussion about proper spark plug, what is your opinion? Scooter is unmodified-for now. Thank you.
Thanks mate. We use the spark plug ZMR7AP or you can use a CPR8E. You should change them often.
Hey guys, quite obsessed with your UA-cam channel at the minute can’t stop watching the vids, my dad and I just bought a 2009 Piaggio Zip. We have the yasuni R derestricted and malossi variator for now. We need to derestrict the bike, I’ve watched a video of yours where you take that plate out but I need help on choosing a new main jet for the carb? Do you have any recommendations please I saw on one video you guys put a 62 jet in but that currently means nothing to me I’ve looked on our local website and there are 5mm jets 6mm jets etc? I hope this makes sense and any help is appreciated thanks from England 🇬🇧
Hi Callum, what a great message, thanks buddy👋👍.
With the Yasuni R you should have already: Upgraded the jet size, adjusted the rollers and added clutch spring set.
You Should remove your current jet and heck the sizes to get up to speed with the size lingo. The Zip has 6mm jet with a size of 53. You should start with a jet size of 62 and move from there.. it is important to do the other small parts I have mentioned..
@@scooterstreetau thanks for the speedy response guys, haven’t fitted any parts just yet I just wanted to make sure I got everything together first before we tackle the job. Thanks for your advice guys I’ll start with the 6mm 62 jet
@@callum14p Great plan👍
Hi there, back again we finally fitted the parts to the scooter.
Malossi variator with 7.5Gram rollers and added yellow clutch springs as well as the yasuni exhaust. Fitted a new carb as well as the other one had been abused and the thread on the main jet had been stripped. Took it for a ride out yesterday and acceleration was weak and top speed to 60 kph. Also main jet size is around a 65 jet according to the box on the new carby. Hope you could shed some light on how I can fix the slow issues.
Appreciate your knowledge
hey guys the first section of the video, where you install the exhaust and the new jets and the tweaks to the clutch, can i get that done without adding the header kit?
Yes, that is considered the firt step👍
@@scooterstreetau okay no worries thank you
Enjoy✌@@threefootflatty3688
Do you guys prefer the zip or Aprilia sr50r? Is the Aprilia better for faster roads?
SR50R is a water cooled engine it produces more power and can handle higher top speeds.
I have a Aerox 2016m and i have a hard time understanding what weights you should put. Like if i have a Extra exghaust and a Variator kit MALOSSI MHR 2000 Multivar MINARELLI what kind of weights shoul i use. And a last question I have a 12mm carb if i do these upgrades should i put in a larger carb ?
The larger carb will be an advantage with the sport exhaust. With the roller weights use the ones Malossi recommend and if you want to use different weights trial with a 10% change per roller. Trail and testing is best.
@@scooterstreetau thank you very much :)
Hallo guys, Happy Easter!!!
Thank you for the video, it was very informative. But I am betaling my carb demons, I can't figure it out to be honest... I have a piaggio nrg power dt 2015.with recently installed 70cc malossi sport.(stil in posses of riding it in, already made 30k + with 30/40km,h gassing up and down, BORING!) The carb is dellorto PHVA 17.5 with electric choker. I have a problem dialing it in... If I keep rpms up to 7 k it runs 35/40km/h max but if I open my throttle more it begin to drown, loose power. I have put a jet 84 in the screw that is closest to the engine is turned 2 full turns and the one closer to air filter(the long one with the visible spring) 3 full turns. It starts with no problems, it is running fine in "newtral" and up till 7k rpm than the problems start... Could you guide me in the right direction? I leave close to the shore so elevation is not that relevant, but temperature shifts from worm to chil qute often!
Thank you in advance and one again Happy Easter! 😊
With the carby screws: The one close to the air box should be 1 turn out and then leave it. The other, controls the idle so adjustment is made so the rear wheel is not spinning free when parked on the main stand.
Check the auto choke and be sure it is working correctly. Now change the jet until the rev become clean, always start with the needle in the middle notch when changing the jet.
@@scooterstreetau thank you very much for your reply! I'll try to do my best and keep you updated :)
@@mrmajestic1478 The auto choke is responsible for many troubles in the Piaggio system, do the sun and the fridge test. And measure the difference, minimum is 2mm.
im a little bit late but great video! The only thing I guess you forgot to say is that you should place the opening of the c clips on the top or the bottom because from the movement of the piston it will get pressed together and eventually will fly out and damage your zylinder and piston
love from Germany
Better to be late than never, thanks watching🙌 and thanks for the tip! We discussed this in the piston replaement videos.
