The arrow on the piston should face TOWARDS the exhaust exit on the cylinder, so not always down. If you don't do this the piston rings gonna explode and rip your cylinder.
If I didnt have a best friend from Manchester, England..(and I am a Southerner from Dixie , so) I would have been really lost. Not saying the dudes a Manc, just saying that a Manc makes up brand new English words on the fly. Its a damn crime what they do to the English language, but I love them. Takes a patient ear and some getting use to. This dude may be Irish. Very fine mechanic this man.
You may already know this now but it depends how powerfull the 70cc cylinder is because some standard cranks can hold onto the stress and pressure if the 70cc cylinder isn’t super strong like a Mhr or stage 6 mkII
@@30kmt Thanks for the reply. The kit isnt that strong is a Chinese knockoff i guess it gives it 3 to 4 hp more than stock. So basically more than double the hp. I got the kit for 1 month right now maybe 5 hours of riding since its been very cold outside. And its doing great well see how much more can it hold on.
Hi thks four video excellent I have a Piaggio Zip 2T I have a sport exhaust or ready I like to fix a 70cc malossi kit my carburettor is standard Dellorto 17.5 can you please let me know whitch jet size I use on many thks mate
Hi tks four your great video, wheen you up the cylinder four 70cc or 75cc you need to put a little extra oil wheen you fill the petrol tank or not need? Tank you BERENGUER
Rose Evans it's really not that hard. the only headache is getting the wristpin out of the crank. Putting it back in is usually easy as it's probably not swelled like the old one
I know it gives a whole lot of trouble, but doesn't it bother you to mount a new cylinder, specially a 70cc Polini which is my favorite mark btw, without 1st having cleaned all that greasy filth all around that cylinder area? Not only may dirt and/or solid residue fall into the crankshaft compartment but also such a special part sure deserves it to be done. When I fitted my 70cc Polini aluminum cylinder,God knows, how clean and shiny my engine block was...
Hello guys! I want to ask if original is 50cm cilinder, but im putting aftermarket 70cm cilinder to scooter, what about exhaust mounting? Do original exhaust bolts wil fitt on bigger cilinder? Thanks for answer :)
iv got a 70cc bigbore kit on my vivacity x-race only had it 3 weeks workin fine then cut out and wont start again i cleand everything it started fine worded all day and night then wouldnt start again i baught brand new carb still wont start any advice please ?
Hi man, with 70cc cylinders specifically with stage6 ones that i got. I noticed that if i won't warm up my scooter for like 5mins first thing in the morning for my daily use, it will have that bog down on takeoff at 1/4 to half throttle which will be gone after a after a few hundred meters of reving up. But if i warm it up its mainly fine.
That is a very informative video! I am still confused on the circlip in terms of specific orientation, location, removal, and reinstallation. Everything else has been really good in psyching myself up for my first BBK installation.
i have a 70cc cylinder and piston on my speedfight 2 i beleive i need to change the exhaust and carb jet aswell? is that the only things? and if so what size carb jet and howd you do it. thanks
Not sure what a speed fight 2 is but I have a 50cc Yamaha Zuma, you should definitely change your exhaust if it’s stock and you have a 70cc and then u should jet around 90
Hi tks four your video good info tks, I fit my 75cc on my 50cc scooter and now wheen I drive the engine is very very hot I don't know before whit 50cc I don't check, wheen I fit the new 75cc cylinder I don't fix back the cylinder cover I just drive and I find is very hot my question is a normal or not tank you
put your plastic cover back on these are air cooled engines and that cover directs the air past the head cooling it off you need this on ! or an electric fan or your gona burn up your head !
Hi I have a Japonese scooter Sym Fiddle version 1 I by a 75cc nakaru cylinder to fit on you thing if I use stand carburetor we give more speed or I need to Chang the 19 or 21 carburetor tks
Is this all I have to do? I'm buying a Tomos sprint that only goes 25 max speed stock engine but heard if I buy a 70cc arisal kit it'd reach 45. Please anyone feel free to answer
Good video but you failed to do several vital steps related to engine re-assembly. Even with a suposidly bolt on kit it is still always advisable to check ring gap clearence and I would never start that engine before first checking your squish clearence. Sucks to have a spark plug through the top of your brand new piston crown cause you failed to do a simple check.
el único comentario que yo hago es que deberían presentar también montages y ensamblajes de toda clase de motos importadas y colombianas como es akt esport y enduro y hasi sobre todas las marcas de motos anivel mundial
I’m about to do this on my motorbike too, now I know to take the bla faa bla waa waa and put it in the waa faa waa faa bla bla bla faa 🤫 I almost had it.
Hard to say. Depends on the rest of your setup. Size on carb, what kind of airbox and so on. Best is to get a kit and simply try one at a time until it works and your spark plug gets a nice dry brownish look.
I got an CPI Oliver city i just bought for 320 euro it dosen't run well in the engine cuz it needs a new piston, but starts very well Also i need a new Brake disk and Caliber and then i got a scooter in perfect condition :D
more fuel new jet for carborator, remember and clean where the seal will be and tighten the screws a little here and there, not tighten hart immediately, see that it does not fall shit in the engine and see that you do not lose clips into the engine
Sorry, can you post a video about the 60 speed Vino engine how to blow a motor to learn from you. Or videos. IAM from Iraq. And your Facebook page name
u not doing something right u need to handle screws on a cilinder like a carwheel overhand U wil have air loss and and the cilinderhead is not at the right spot u need to screw it up and chek it out a few days later The cillinder head will be dropped so u can screw it a lil bit tighter On a car u will lose the wheel And u added 2 much oil on everything Just add some oil on the piston with ur finger
is yours 4 stroke or 2 stroke? if its 2 stroke, you'll just have to swap the cylinder and piston and put in a larger carb main jet. but if its 4 stroke. then setting the timing is needed.
Q. I notice that the piston has an arrow on the top. When I put the piston in the cylinder, is the arrow suppose to face down or up. Also the piston has two small windows.
Even though I couldn't understand a word he was saying. This is one of the better vids I've watched on this procedure.
Thanks so much for the in depth tutorial, I feel much more confident about doing this myself instead of bringing it to a shop now. thanks!
The arrow on the piston should face TOWARDS the exhaust exit on the cylinder, so not always down. If you don't do this the piston rings gonna explode and rip your cylinder.
i have had it backwards but nothing happend haha

Took me a while to realize he was speaking English... My dumbass thought it was german or some lmao
same😂
Look my scooter Video thx

You did all the job very good and very carefully. Very nice video.
So obviously after doing this you'll change the jets but will you change the spark plug?
are you upgrading your motorcycle in your kitchen! nice!
Just asking can the 50cc stock crank hold up to the stress and pressure of a 70cc kit because i dont wanna get a 70cc and it breaks after a few days
You may already know this now but it depends how powerfull the 70cc cylinder is because some standard cranks can hold onto the stress and pressure if the 70cc cylinder isn’t super strong like a Mhr or stage 6 mkII

Great video, helpful walk through instructions
Brilliant video, thanks for sharing.
hi i am about to fit my yamaha jog cv50 with a 70cc big bore kit and i am wondering what i need to change my jet size to. thanks.
Any tips please?
Hi thks four video excellent I have a Piaggio Zip 2T I have a sport exhaust or ready I like to fix a 70cc malossi kit my carburettor is standard Dellorto 17.5 can you please let me know whitch jet size I use on many thks mate

Greetings. good video. Could you recommend me a cylinder for a tecnigas triops exhaust. my scooter is gilera runner50cc a.c. Thank you
tried this today and the frame fell and bent the mount screws for the big bore kit thats my life in a nutshell lol😂
Daryl Egerton lmao that's why I don't want to attempt this because I will have the same fate or something similar
Not worth hassle trade old 50cc in get a 125 scooter lot cheaper faster 50s are not worth it
Rose Evans it's really not that hard. the only headache is getting the wristpin out of the crank. Putting it back in is usually easy as it's probably not swelled like the old one

When I fitted my 70cc Polini aluminum cylinder,God knows, how clean and shiny my engine block was...
I think its better to change the conrod and the bigend bearing as they will have to cope with more power so it would be safer
Hello guys! I want to ask if original is 50cm cilinder, but im putting aftermarket 70cm cilinder to scooter, what about exhaust mounting? Do original exhaust bolts wil fitt on bigger cilinder? Thanks for answer :)
I just bought a genuine buddy 50 2stroke. Is this rebuilding. Engine the same step ?... And like the video best so far
This looks like a Polini Corsa Mid-Race cyl kit for a Piaggo engine. am i right?
iv got a 70cc bigbore kit on my vivacity x-race only had it 3 weeks workin fine then cut out and wont start again i cleand everything it started fine worded all day and night then wouldnt start again i baught brand new carb still wont start any advice please ?
What colour is that gunmetal grey? And where would i get the spray paint from
Hi man, with 70cc cylinders specifically with stage6 ones that i got. Nino Echavez I have the same problem but even without a 70cc kit. After fitting my derestricted cdi it just boys down unless I pull away in high revs.
Is it regular Two-Stroke oil that you mix with gas that you smeard on the cylinder?
epic sound quality dude
Nice!excited&nervous
Do you fix engines in the kitchen??? O.o deamn i cant do that...
How many miles to wear in the kit
Is this worth doing ?? Or does it knacker the bike ?
21mm dellorto carb best one
That is a very informative video! I am still confused on the circlip in terms of specific orientation, location, removal, and reinstallation. Everything else has been really good in psyching myself up for my first BBK installation.
the sir clip is easy but they get under pressure as you put them on and they can shoot off ive done it myself ahha
I switched a lot of cilinders maybe 100+ and i never looked at the sir clip position and never had any problems.
Nice video, too bad I can not understand ONE WORD THIS MAN IS SAYING!
It`s because you are not british, I cannot also
I am British and can barely understand a word he is saying!
oily thin lil head gasket is chronic as hell what was that astroglide?
I used to do that stuff on my moms kitchen table lol!
Where is the original Head gasket? That is why the head looks likes its leaking? No Disrespect, just wondering? 5 star vid. RH DDS
did u use 2 stroke as lubricant ?
i have a 70cc cylinder and piston on my speedfight 2 i beleive i need to change the exhaust and carb jet aswell? is that the only things? and if so what size carb jet and howd you do it. thanks
Mark Leech i would like to know too
Not sure what a speed fight 2 is but I have a 50cc Yamaha Zuma, you should definitely change your exhaust if it’s stock and you have a 70cc and then u should jet around 90
Get 125cc scooter there faster forget upgrading your 50cc.
Rose Evans Lets say a Gilera Runner 70 2 stroke will beat a Gilera Runner 125 2t, its not faster
Usualy a 17.5 mm carburetor, or a 19mm, jet should be like 85-95
does scooter stops throwing white smoke if the mobil oil is very less remaining in engine
2strokes tend to smoke more when the engine is cold and less once warmed up
Hi tks four your video good info tks, I fit my 75cc on my 50cc scooter and now wheen I drive the engine is very very hot I don't know before whit 50cc I don't check, wheen I fit the new 75cc cylinder I don't fix back the cylinder cover I just drive and I find is very hot my question is a normal or not tank you
get a bigger carburator, and change your jets in your current carburateor, you currect carburator is way too small i would belive
put your plastic cover back on these are air cooled engines and that cover directs the air past the head cooling it off you need this on ! or an electric fan or your gona burn up your head !
hey does this still work my mate has a 70s kit on his aprilia rx50 and hes even had a hole melted in the middle of the piston ??? it hasnt lasted long
kierankay100 the 70cc need more fuel, need bigger jet like 70-100
just recently did this and I am having and issue with as soon as you apply throttle the engine wants to bog down/die... any ideas?
You have to switch to a bigger carb jet
great vid. dose it change the distence of where the exhuast conects to the cilinder head ?
no
what lube or oil did u use to lubricate the inside on the cylinder etc.?
2 stroke oil
please make sure you compress your piston rings i did it and snaped them
Do you know of any mods for a 4 stroke zuma? I have the 2014 50fx
Hi I have a Japonese scooter Sym Fiddle version 1 I by a 75cc nakaru cylinder to fit on you thing if I use stand carburetor we give more speed or I need to Chang the 19 or 21 carburetor tks
What bike is this? And engine?
Hi i have a 70cc and yes you nedd too put oil in the petrol tank.
Is this all I have to do? I'm buying a Tomos sprint that only goes 25 max speed stock engine but heard if I buy a 70cc arisal kit it'd reach 45. Please anyone feel free to answer
if you are talking about mph, then you probably should deristrict ir and then put the airsal on... should be about 60-65 eventually 😏😉
Also Whitch best size carburetor nakaru 19 or 21 tank you very much
what kind of oil are u putting on the cilinder with ur fingers?
+Ruben Pels 2 stroke
+Ruben Pels I would use fully synthetic two stroke oil
Nice video well done and put some more thk
Cheers! ill be doing this!
lol pretty risky putting the piston pen springs on their spot with your block right under, all open xD
Big help to me thanks!
yay!!! a good luck cat!!!
gracias desde Colombia.
What language is this?

What are those long sticks called that holdes the cylinder in place? I know the word in danish, but can't find anything in english
Piston/bore mounting studs
Head studs
your meant to put cloth behind the piston in case the clips drop and make sure arrow on it points towards exhaust , hahahahah
My clyinder dosen't come off. The Head comes off but the cylinder not.
+CRACKMONSTER hit it on all 4 sides with a small hamer. do this till you see any movement
hi, what torque the bolts to be tightened
The same as stock. 10 ft-lbs on the cylinder head. 14 ft-lbs for the spark plug
That's a Polini 70 cc Big Bore kit?
can this be done without dropping the engine ?
Ofcourse but not woth any scooter
Depends on the scooter
can i use a malossi piston in a stage6 70cc bigger kit?
+Wilbo Baggins Yes you can
Lol your cats pissed no foods out,
I’m about to do this on my motorbike too, now I know to take the bla faa bla waa waa and put it in the waa faa waa faa bla bla bla faa 🤫 I almost had it.
what size main jet do get with kit
Hard to say. Depends on the rest of your setup. Size on carb, what kind of airbox and so on. Best is to get a kit and simply try one at a time until it works and your spark plug gets a nice dry brownish look.
Where’s the cylinder gasket
I got an CPI Oliver city i just bought for 320 euro

more fuel new jet for carborator, remember and clean where the seal will be and tighten the screws a little here and there, not tighten hart immediately, see that it does not fall shit in the engine and see that you do not lose clips into the engine
You cannot use nyloc nuts. They would melt.
He's working on a Piaggio Zip 2 stroke engine.
you do realize that in the way that you're talking more than half of what you're saying can't be understood?
john smoth Yeah, took me a while to realize this was actually English.
Simple as that
very nice I like
I like watercooled 50cc
thank
What lube did he use
Yes
Nice cat
Sorry, can you post a video about the 60 speed Vino engine how to blow a motor to learn from you. Or videos. IAM from Iraq. And your Facebook page name
Taaha Alkapy where are you from I am Iraqi too
Cherche piston ax100 Suzuki
778 thumbs up for the cat! :)
Good video otherwise too.
cilindre 46 mm ? Its may lets 2 fail!
You forgot to see what your squish was
1:07 cat!
What the Hell kind of engine is that, Mate. Cheers. RH DSD
Looks like a KYMCO's 2 stroke air cooled engine...
Could you add some subtitles? The audio is truly terrible and kind of makes the guide a lot less helpfull
You should always upgrade the crank and bearings if installing a 70cc kit. These WILL fail if you don't.
14k on bbk on Kymco 2t. No crank issues.
u not doing something right
u need to handle screws on a cilinder like a carwheel overhand
U wil have air loss and and the cilinderhead is not at the right spot
u need to screw it up and chek it out a few days later
The cillinder head will be dropped so u can screw it a lil bit tighter
On a car u will lose the wheel
And u added 2 much oil on everything
Just add some oil on the piston with ur finger
He doesn't explain how to set the timing.
+A . E . Ortiz it's a 2 stroke, there is no timing needed. you just have to set the squish clearence.
thank you for the info. I have a Baccio speedy 50cc and I just upgraded to a 47.6mm big bore. I can now finish putting it together. thank you again.
is yours 4 stroke or 2 stroke? if its 2 stroke, you'll just have to swap the cylinder and piston and put in a larger carb main jet. but if its 4 stroke. then setting the timing is needed.
Q. I notice that the piston has an arrow on the top. When I put the piston in the cylinder, is the arrow suppose to face down or up. Also the piston has two small windows.
the arrow is suppose to point to the exhaust port.
47,5mm is a 70cc
give the answer when are riding 70cc it will use more fuel
Simple as that lol
whaa?
70cc Big Bore Kit haha, 77cc or 80cc 86cc is Big Bore ;)
Big bore is everything bigger than original
not 77 cc is a big bore 70cc is a just 70cc, here in Europe we have tuned much more scooters than you have in usa
I live in austria 😂
and for many years
haha
