Another great tutorial . 👍
CVT tuning is so simply complicated. It really is a balancing act.
I always found with the Kevlar belts. They would wear out the variator more quickly.
So the belt you recommended sound ideal.👍
Hi Paul, yes, they are so stiff when they new too. They don't roll as easily as the Specials.
Thanks bro, ur video is very knowledgeable, even i can't understand your language as very well but also after that i watched ur video and understand with the helps of hand movements thanks keep it up... 👌
Thank you my man, great appreciation🙌
Hey Brad!
I have a Vespa LX50, now with an Athena 70cc pro sport, Sito plus exhaust (for stealth look) Malossi 2000 variator + rear spring, standard clutch with Malossi springs. Sticking with the standard 17.5 carb so far as I understand that gives better low end torque compared to a larger size.
…just want to say that I have been looking at very many of your videos and really enjoy the way you break things down and explain in such good ways. Such an asset!
Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your insights and knowledge!
Thank you for taking the time to write this comment. Encouragement and support like this is truly amazing to hear!
The smaller carb give low end and economy for the daily rider.
Great video - like that variator marker tip for belt / roller tuning. Good stuff.
Thanks and glad you like the pen tip👍heaps of tips in the audio of all our videos.
Thank you friend! I'm watching your video tutorials and I thank you for your help in studying the 2t engine. May everything be fine in your life!
We greatly appreciate your comment🙌 Thank you for watching, all the best.
Well explained! You are great 👍 bro
Ohh thank you so much🙌
Are you able to do a sports (chamber) exhaust tutorial for the zip? As asides from transmission/varistor mods, chucking a sports exhaust on would be the most popular mod. Would be good to see that + re-jetting the zip for it
Yes we will do that, we are starting a Piaggio Zip Series as we speak. So stay tuned it will hit the tube this Saturday.
Thank you!
Great job
Thanks DR.
Hey people, love your channel, bunch of useful stuff.
I would like to upgrade my electrical output on my 2000. Piaggio LIberty 125. It is a pre-leader engine.
I use my scooter daily, I commute with it, I travel and I need my heated grips to not drain my battery after starting it for 20 times a day.
Sometimes I turn the grips off and I use kickstarter to recharge my battery. But I would enjoy not having to do it.
Do you have any advice?
You could start with another battery that has a higher amp hour rating.
I prefer to fit a second battery which powers the heated grips. Connect the main battery to the second battery by way of parallel, voltage stays at 12V. (
google Series and Parallel for 12V batteries). Use an isolation swith which isolates the power between the 2nd battery and turn it on during riding when you need to charge the second battery. Use the 2nd battery for the grips only and not both to start the electric motor. For best results seek professional help when fitting electricals.
Thank you for the super quick reply. The thing is, my under seat compartment is full of tools and spares, tire sealant (I am prepared for anything :) ). And there is no room for battery that is bigger than the stock one, I'm afraid. I'd rather buy another stator with bigger output but I've never heard of aftermarket ones. Thank you for the idea, I will keep it in mind.
All the best. Let us know the final result.@@iamandreja
I really like your video, it was so helpful and clear to understand! I changed my OEM rollers with the help of your video! Are the OEM Piaggio rollers supposed to rattle a little bit? Not on idle but when I rev and accelerate. It’s a bit annoying. Thanks again for the helpful video! Subscribed 😎
Hello, Glad it helped and well done👌 The rollers don't rattle under acceleration, check if there is something loose at the engine, check the transmission bolts and nuts, check the exhaust and exhaust brackets. Check the kick start lever.
@@scooterstreetau just a quick update if someone has the same rattling: Yesterday I removed the clutch drum and saw that the 3 pads on the outside of the clutch centrifugal unit had pretty shiny surface which is not good. I sanded them down a little bit with 100 grit paper and I also sanded the inside edge of the drum because that was also too shiny and slippery. Cleaned everything with brake cleaner and the noise is gone 😁 thanks for the tips anyway!
How about wiring please. I don’t mind watching and hour video so long as it’s educational like these. Kudos for good explanation.
Thank you 🙌. Which wiring?
@@scooterstreetaui would love a video about the wiring harness, wiring for lights and ignition
From New Zealand looking at getting a scooter at the moment what do you recommend I need abit of leg room it's favouring a two-stroke I have a supermoto two-stroke 300 at the moment but it hurts my knee because my knees too bent, previous motocross injuries .my wife's got a four-stroke scooter honda which is way more comfortable for my knees so I'm looking for one at the moment but I've always been into two strokes
Check out these:
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piaggio_Hexagon
You can fit extra side footpegs to the front floorboard, itgive the legs a stretch. You see these on some of the delivery scooters and many motobikes.
@@oscarnygren6478 👍 good nice scooters but very unlikely to find in New Zealand
Hi guys hope you are well.
I have a piaggio zip 2 stroke - its fairly low mileage , ive put an exhaust on it , derestricted the carb, stiffer clutch springs (25% stiffer), 6 Gram malossi rollers.
It bogs at full throttle, and theres barely any acceleration from 1/4 throttle to full throttle but after a little bit it then it starts to move - currently have a 60 Main jet in the 17.5mm carb
Any help will be appreciated, Thanks Jay
HI Jay, All good here✌️ Why didnt you jet the carby? In every single video about tuning we mention you MUSY adjust the main jet accordingly.
hello i have a kymco agility 50cc 4stroke does the malossi clutch help for top speed ore faster take off?
No. You need an engine upgrade. Try the variator shaft, Malossi variator and clutch springs with rollers.
does the REED VALVE MALOSSI MHR VL13 fit 28mm pwk carb
If the carby is designed for the specific engine.
Hello, I have a aprillia sr and i bought full polini hi speed transmission kit with a belt but when i put it all together there i a gap between drive boss and the belt, i am also using stock spacer in the back so why it wont fit nicely?
Check the fitment for the Polini part number to your Aprilia model. Check the fitting instructions. Where did you buy the kit from ask the supplier as they will be more familiar with the parts you bought.
If I put grease into the roller variator ,what will be the result please tell me
Grease will heat up and go everywhere, the belt will slip and things will overheat...Oh no.....
Thank you sir for replying to me
I'll do it
@@l.rmeetei4451 Clean away the grease. All the best👍
i have a question . i have a kymco agility 50cc 4stroke and when i hit 80kmh it starts make a noise in the engine idk if it is a blockade ore idk if u know please help me
Take it back to the Dealer.
@@scooterstreetau and do what?
Ask them to check the noise.@@v1ns3nt1xd2
wao a very good video How to thans
Thank you🙌
why didn’t you use grease when pully setup
The inner bearing already greased. Outer is sealed.
Does clutch springs effect to the top speed?
The 3 small shoe springs do not have an effect on top speed.
@@scooterstreetau thanks For The information sirr
@@jari887 🙌
@@scooterstreetau i have white malossi contra spring so do you have any recommedation For right weight rollers
@@jari887 It will always in every situation be trial and testing of different weights.
First ❤🎉😂
