For those who don't want a turbo, this is a good engine because it has both PORT and Direct fuel injection. The port injection helps keep the back of the intake valves free of carbon buildup. It's just enough oomph to get all your errands done but don't load it up with grown folks and head to the mountains.
Thanks Matt! A used mini-van is about the same price as this NEW. Kia is doing a low APR now too, so I’m tempted. I’ll go look at a base model soon - do you think three car seats would do fine in here? A third car seat in for the third row that’ll turn boost seat within a year? You think third row is enough space for kids?
It is not the same engine, but have been using it across both Kia and Hyundai line up for a while now. Plus you have 10 years 100k warranty on the engine.
Thank you kind sir! My wife wants this in Everlasting Silver and this solidifies her decision. I drive a 22 Sorento S and love it but she wants cloth seats. I would recommend to go with the S but they have synthetic leather seats.
Nice video Matt and this SUV is my top pick.
Thanks! Has tons of nice features.

It may be tight for 3 car seats, but than again growing up we had an old Fiat 126p and we managed😅
@@MattTheCarguy We went today to drive with three car seats -- no go. Too tight. The 2024 Kia Carnival LX was $1,000 more on MSRP. We went with that!
Great! This is the only trim I'd get.
I would probably go for Calligraphy... spoiled 😀
@@MattTheCarguy😂
I think I would get the S trim. It is a good looking and it has a true automatic transmission.
Good choice. I think the engine/transmission combo is what attracts lots of people.
It doesn’t have a round 12 V power adapter. What’s up with that ? I have a dash cam that has a 12 V plug. Can’t use this.
Strange, indeed.
How reliable will this engine and transmission be if one was to hold on for a long time. Is it the same engine as in 2016 models..

I would get a S trim. Stay away from the dual clutch which is with the 2.5 turbo versions

And how will the power be if 5 people with some luggage take a long trip
I think it would be fine.
what colour is it
Ebony Black

Thank you for watching. If you want cloth seats LX will be your only option.
