  • Train Wreck features graffiti train cars and spectacular views of Cheakamus River.
The hike is 5.8-km out-and-back trail and is 9km from the Whistler Village, it takes an average of 1 h 24 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, mountain biking, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
The Resort Municipality of Whistler’s more recently installed pedestrian bridge creates a safe, legal access point. The bridge connects Train Wreck to the Sea to Sky trail, which is part of the Trans Canada Trail. Associated trail connections have also been built on either side of the bridge. The hike to the suspension bridge and train cars is approximately 1 km (one way) from the car park that is located on Jane Lakes Road, adjacent to the north west side of Bayly Park. The trail is suitable for all ages and abilities.
    Getting there
The Train Wreck site and suspension bridge can be accessed at the south end off Whistler in the Cheakamus Crossing neighbourhood. At Highway 99 follow Cheakamus Lakes Road to Legacy Way. Turn right off of Legacy Way on to Jane Lakes Road. The trailhead is located at the bottom of Jane Lakes Road.
