    Before your "M2C Explained" series I believe people were buying M2C parts because the vast majority would say M2C part are more durable...better Aluminum...BUT NOW...You have taken it to another level, and you are explaining the 'WHY' M2C parts are actually better. Which in my opinion is Priceless! Great Job on another awesome informative vid. "Imma Fan"

      The v5, Ships with a plastic or composite upper hinge pin, where the pins screw directly into the composite. Just like that V4.
      The V4 V5 And EXB all share the same size top plate. So The upper hinge pin is a direct fit for all in that sense..
      As far as the EXB, as the video mentions, it will fit but you have to pick up the V4/V5 upper hinge pins.

      That’s a great idea for a video. What rig you running?
      Here’s some food for thought in the meantime.
      Example - The Kraton v5
      Upgrades In order of importance. IMO
      Now don’t feel overwhelmed by all these upgrades, honestly just feel grateful that these things are available and can be assessed overtime. The funnest thing about this hobby is getting out there having fun and when you break something simply buy the upgraded version.
      The ones that are starred with an Asterix are ones I would seriously consider out the gate.
      1.*HD rod ends, especially if you have the V4 (or search DIY rod ends
      Search either on UA-cam and you’ll find my vids on it. Also, making sure your droop is set properly is important to protect your rod ends. Setting droop is another video I have out there.
      2. *Rpm bumper front and back (or if you can find it you could toss on the EXB front bumper)
      3.*Aluminum chassis braces front and rear
      4. aluminum servo mount
      5. Willie bar (seriously protects your wing mount)
      6. Watch my playlist on shock mitigation
      If you really want to start sending it like insane jumps:
      In order of importance
      7. M2C chassis
      8. 7075 aluminum rear shock tower (M2C)
      9. Hot racing Diff houses (Front and rear but rear first)
      10. M2C rear suspension mounts (rear first)
      11. Front upper hinge pin.
      12. M2C shock standoffs
      13. M2C shock caps
      14. Front shock tower (M2C)
      If you haven’t already make sure you beef up your body, my favorite method to date is professional rhino lining (see my vid in. The topic). You might consider attaching your battery tray better (also a vid 😎)
      Bulletproof your differentials, 20 K rear, 200 to 500 K Center, and 80 K front. Also make sure they’re shimmed correctly both inside and out. Naturally I’ve got lots of videos on this stuff.

      It amazes me that you have stayed with one RC as the focal subject and successful remain relevant. 🤟💯 It has really helped me learn about RCs. If I can only have one RC, the Kraton would be my runner-up. For me, Talion is a better “one and only” choice.
      I agree that M2C chassis is not in the top 5 unless you are gonna bash like K Talbot or RC Dude81.
      Thanks for all the great advice. 🙏

    Ok so I'm pretty new to arrma....bought a talion 6s exb....how do I tell what version chassis I have? The interwebs have not been extremely helpful due to the inter-compatability of the kraton, outcast, and talion. Some parts that work on an outcast don't work on my talion....I'm guessing that's because there's SO many chassis options? Anyways I digress. Thanks for the super detailed vids....I will be subscribing

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  2 роки тому

      Regarding chassis
      Arrma 6s line only 😎
      The Talion has a unique chassis of its own, NOT compatible with all the others, such as the Kraton, outcast, typhon, Senton, Notorious.
      Also… Talion chassis remains the same through its own versions, V3, V4, (there is no V5) and EXB.
      The Kraton also has a unique chassis as well which actually evolved (backwards slightly in my oppinion) when the V5 and EXB came out.
      Now as far as upgrading the Kraton goes via M2C, which is the best vender to upgrade it through. Then they have adopted the new V5/EXB variant and advertise it for ALL the Kraton Models
      So again… the Kraton chassis is also unique, and remains the same through its own versions V2,3,4,5 and EXB
      You can’t find the original V4 variation on M2C’s site anymore. (The only difference is the rear ears for the drop screws is slightly larger, allowing for better cross compatibility between stock and Rpm arms.
      Details here - ua-cam.com/video/RPt0W8b1eug/v-deo.html
      Now the Rigs that share the same chassis are the Outcast, typhon, Senton and Notorious, they are the same from the V3,4,5 and EXB
      The Mohave and the Fire team share the same Chassis
      Hope this answers your question. I think I’ll make a vid in this topic, seems commonly asked. Thx for the idea! 😎🔥😎🔥

    7:36 Do you have any tips for removing tight screws without stripping them? The two outer ones that I have go into a HR bellcrank, so I loctited them. I'm worried about putting a soldering iron or a flame to them because of that black plastic piece that's around them.
    I'm worried to use power tools to try and remove it as well. I see people use power tools a lot to loosen them up. I'm not sure if that's a better alternative than doing it by hand.

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  Рік тому +1

      Arrma screws are garbage and strip way too easily. One remedy to help is buying MIP tools, they’re expensive, but help in that regard because they’re ridiculously well made.
      However, even with those …stripping is still common with those garbage screws.
      You should definitely not use red Loctite Pretty much most places. If you’re adamant about using a lock tie on a metal to metal situation that is commonly getting loose on you. I would recommend using blue Loctite.
      However, that doesn’t really help you in your situation since you’ve already used red Loctite so… You may have a project on your hands. First thing to know is that these screws are expendable, meaning if you damage or destroy them in the process of trying to get these things removed. You can always replace them . I would actually highly recommend replacing them with the equivalent screw in torxs.
      The best way that I’ve found to remove a completely stripped screw that has no chance of coming out after stripped is by taking a Dremel with a thin disc, and cutting a straight line right through the center. You’re then able to use a small flat head screwdriver to remove said screw. Your problem is getting a Dremel into that location … So you may have to completely remove the bell crank assembly so that you can easily access getting that Dremel in there to leave a nice clean cut right through the center of that screw.
      Afterwards, don’t use red Loctite, change those screws over to torque screws and maybe consider using blue Loctite.
      I’m not 100% sure exactly where you’re talking about. When you say there’s a plastic piece around them are you talking about the inside turnbuckle rod end? If so, you can pop that thing off to get it out of there if you want to find a way to apply heat to melt that red Loctite

    • @NepDouble07
      @NepDouble07 Рік тому +1

      @@EastTactics The screws I have in there are actually brand new screws from RCscrews. They've only been put in once and never taken out.
      I think what I'll do is just take the whole front subframe off alongside with the bellcrank to just avoid those screws. I'm sure if I cranked on them they'd be okay, but I'd rather not.

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  Рік тому

      Yeah, if you can avoid, undoing those red locktite screws that would be ideal.

  • @kevinmccubbin3596
    @kevinmccubbin3596 Рік тому +1

    M2C says the upper hinge pin kit will not work for the Kraton EXB. So will it work as long as you use an M2C upper hinge pin that is threaded? I have issues w my Kraton EXB not holding the pins because the threads for the retainer screws keep getting torn up and then the pins won’t stay in.

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  Рік тому +1

      Yes, I actually don’t like the design of the new stock EXB, upper hinge pin, using set screws to lock it in is a horrible idea, considering those can get loose and come out. And then you’re screwed if they do. So yeah, I won’t be using it. I switched to M2C’s captured hinge pin system. On my EXB. You can definitely install M2C’s upper hinge pin kit into your EXB. So long as you buy the V4 pins.
      I do provide a direct link to those pins in the description of this video.

    • @AnthonyBencomo

      @@EastTacticsI know this is old but doubly screwed on the screw. Back ordered for two months. But probably could just use any screw as long as dimensions the same. Shame I didn’t know I needed the hinge pins. I bought the upper hinge block a few days ago.

    How does it lock it in if it fits right over the hinge pin/screw head?

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  2 роки тому

      Good question, I know it might look like it just goes simply around the pinhead. However it’s actually more like a cap. It fits over the pinhead in a way that you couldn’t push the head all the way through it.

    Where were you bashing? I'm in your area.. just looking for some decent locations. Also, I just drove by the old golf course by SLC INT. Airport today and it looks like it had potential... have you ever checked it out? Thanks

      This upper hinge pin support block should fit V2,3,4 of the 6s series ARRMA buggies and trucks. It does not fit exb models, it can replace the exb models so long as you buy v2,3,4 pins.

    Do you use the stock wing mount or the rpm one? I been trying to install the m2c rear shock tower brace but the brace doesn’t go all the way to the shock tower, i have to grind a little bit of plastic but i dont know how much. I didn’t find any video of someone doing it and I’m a little scare to do it because i dont want to break them by removing to much.

      I should’ve made a vid on this… but yes take a Dremel and shave off what you need… start small.. check it, take a bit more if you need. It is necessary w the rpm wing mount. 👍

    What's the price difference between M2C n H.R.

      About 10$
      But you won’t get the retainer braces and the extreme quality with HR.
