Even though you didn't notice me as a running commenter, you, Tim, are one of the most intelligent and pleasing people I have ever seen. Your editing style, visuals, scripts, and simple personality, work so well in tandem that build a atmosphere so unique that I feel like that it will never be replicated properly. I've been watching you since Secondary/High School, that's since I was a depressed young person, but when you uploaded a video, I was emotionally invested (regardless of the tone set in each video). While I did step back from the channel, waited a few months after getting my first year done of college to check you out and give you a proper chance. But then I discovered that Mini-DV video, made me laugh, cry, and feel a sense of what I rarely feel: Pure Happiness. It was so well made that it caused me to get back here, I'm home, I'm alive, and I love your work, and I shall stay. Tim, you gave me hope, gave me inspiration, and most importantly... Purpose: To figure out what happened to me and other people, and humanity itself. Tim... Thank you. You're one of my favourite true content creators here, you're genuine, you're original, and best of all... You're worthy of being one of the modern greats of video. And don't let that ego take you over, for that will make you go down, but hey, take it as you will. Thank you for reading this, I doubt you find this.
I remember back in the 2010 Days when the Argos Catalogue was filled with these, and all the cheap knock-offs which covered a solid 3 Pages ... Compared to the 1 Page of Real Camera Tech. Always wanted one, but never actually grabbed one, and used a now 16 year old Polaroid camera to film with.
I'm a subscriber to Budget-Builds Official but I do find it irritating that he posts comments on every single channel almost immediately after they've posted. The comments are always just authentic enough to gain traction, but this behaviour is disingenuous.
I remember as a kid, getting a £40 knockoff from argos. I was so excited to use it to make stop motion animations and upload them to youtube. But the built in storage could barely hold 20 pictures before I had to plug it in, and transfer the photos to the hard drive of my windows xp PC. But the USB on the camera was so flimsy it broke before I could finish a single animation. I was so upset about it I stopped making animations when I was 10 and never went back.
In all seriousness, your ability to tell stories, whether they are about nostalgic memories, old cameras or even simple computer components, is something that is unrivalled anywhere else on this platform, both vocally and through visuals. Have you ever considered being a filmmaker? You may take ages to pump out videos but none of them ever feel rushed or incomplete, which is what I really like about you and your content. Keep it up, and never stop making videos.
Jackson Mcquade Thats cause he puts so much effort in his videos, he isn't Jake Paul to have a shitty cancerous vlog every day, he is a real creator. The music, editing, scenes and every other aspect takes a lot of time, especially if you are a one-man channel and don't have expensive equipment and a whole team behind your back. IMHO these kinds of channels that don't upload that often, but everytime they do its a great video are the best and are the real reason UA-cam was created in the first place, to give a shot to everyday average individuals with a lot of talent and passion to put content out for other people to see it.(at least until Google didn't ruin it with its algorithms)
Great to see you back at it brother! the good ol bloggie, i had one, but the autofocus drove me nuts! (weird that you had the fixed focus model, never knew that one existed).
There's something about your videos that I can't explain, that makes them so much better than other tech videos. I think it might be how personal they feel, like you're talking to us instead of a broad audience.
That's what I love about dedicated hardware, it makes you focus on using it without all of the notifications interrupting and having to finagle with the touch screen.
I never make comments. you have a production value that is insane and always well thought out and interesting videos. you create an atmosphere that no other has come close to in this field.
I wholeheartedly believe you make the most authentic videos on UA-cam. I typically watch at 2x speed but always watch yours at normal to prolong the experience. Great work.
We'll come back GHG. Love the simplicity of this camera and how you are showing the love from it's flaws. Keep doing quality over quantity. Love your channel
I don't know if anyone noticed that, but that tune at 2.30 set me back in time.... ... To the Sony Ericsson ring tone maker. And my old K770i.... Awesome
Dude I still have an orange MHS-CM1 laying around, I used it to record one of my first videos on UA-cam. And that music at 2:28 brings back so many memories from back in the day, sitting in a couch with the Sony Ericsson W800, trying to make some cool music using the MusicDJ app and dreaming of becoming a music producer. Those were the days.
Wow. I came home from school yesterday and saw the video in my sub box. Didn't watch it until I got home from work today and I gotta say, what a beautiful video you've made Tim. Very relaxing as well. This kinda content suits your channel swimmingly. :) -RobTheButcher
Beautiful video as always. I love your appreciation for the tech that often goes underappreciated, and the perspective you can add to it. Your music choice always fits your videos perfectly, and even when image quality isn't the best, the feeling you get across is impressive. Glad you're back man, I'll be happily waiting for whatever videos you post, no matter how long they take, because they're always worth the wait.
No way, my parents bought the same pocket camera back in the day. I remember it was a big deal because they could film me playing ice hockey. I still have it sitting in my desk drawer, great vid thanks for bring the memories back.
I would never normally be interested in watching a video about an old camera, but GHG is the exception. Fantastic video, I hope we see more from you soon!
It's nice to see you again mate. I had a Sony Bloggie in 2012. It has a touchscreen function but no swivel camera. It wasn't bad considering the build quality. My friend won it in one of those Sega prize winning games. He sold it to me for $50 bucks. I didn't mind paying since the price was more than reasonable for something unused. Looking back at that now I wish I had kept it for myself. You're right... we do take this function for granted earnestly since it's nothing more than a simple function on every smart phone these days.
Out of respect, as soon as you said to get a beverage, I did so. I wasn’t disappointed. This is one of the most oddly relaxing videos I’ve seen from you. Cheers on some great work here.
Dude... your style of video relaxes me and interests me at the same exact time, 100%. I kinda needed Green Ham Gaming in my recent chaotic life. It reminds me that we can, as intelligent humans, just sit down, chill out, and enjoy the little things sometimes.
Lol, just yesterday i was wondering that maybe notfications aren't activated in your channel because it's been so damn long since your last post, well, they were activated btw waiting for you to post another glorious video, and fortunately it didn't take much longer, heeeere we go... 👌
Ohh man, that music at the Sony Ericsson phone sequence! I made a lot of beats like this on my Z520i. I absolutely adored it. That is a great detail.Thank you!
Really missed you man! Though it's satisfying to watch your new video again it's also means another disappearance for another half a year. So I guess it's hello and good bye again. Glad you're OK old friend!
Great video as always GHG! You were the reason I got into building Pcs watching your older videos, nostalgic is the only word I can use to describe your content. Great work
GHG is back at it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy. in 2010 I was using a T-mobile slider phone it had no camera and the screen was 360p, still have it lying around the reason I moved on was that the keyboard quit working so you had to hit 1 for ABC and so on.
The shots are impressive for that old and small camera! Wow! And your channel is the best!Good commentary, scripts, shots and montage.Looks like an effort was put into making videos for this channel! You doing very good job!
