Thank you for this video! I have both the mixer and the microphone but I use it for asmr. Do you have any recommendations for settings for that environment?
Generally speaking a condenser mic will capture a bunch of room noise if you’re in a square space with bare drywall. Foam, blankets, carpet, acoustic treatment, asymetric walls, etc will help reduce the room noise with this mic
Hi! Great video. I do have the same mic connected to a MG10XUF, i think it's the same mixer just with sliders. When i try the same settings as you, i barely get -20 on the voice meter. I have been using the setup for live streaming for a couple of years, but i need to have the gain almost to max to get a decent output. Is my mic broken? I tried both input ch 1 and 2, same result. And i have the PAD button disabled btw.
Same. I am using Yamaha MG10XU and it is connected with AKG P120 condenser microphone and i cant get even any peak even when i turned the gain and peak level to the max in channel 1 and 2. Need advice on getting a good recording level.
Hi Jordon , I have this set up and use for live Facebook singing , when setting levels for singing what is the best to aim for on the meter and how much gain is recommended ?? , Many thanks
G'day Mate. Had my NT1 And My Yamaha for about a year and a half now. For the EQ options, is their a best EQ you would suggest for Voice Overs? and a more important questions, Is their an EQ you would suggest for BeatBoxing? Making it sound to have clarity yet has bass.
Yes it can, but it won't enhance it in anyway. Generally speaking ever piece of additional equipment will add slightly more noise. The only thing that you can connect to "enhance it" would be some type of microphone preamp that adds some tone/coloration that you prefer. The MOTU M2 doesn't add much (if any) coloration or tone.
Didn’t help me at all! I’m trying to figure out which cord to use and this is the only video you don’t have to listen to a life story and it still doesn’t give me the info I need.
Thank you so much....from Uganda
I have the same setup but I am very quiet and can hardly hear myself. What could be the problem?
Need the move the mic closer and turn up the gain
Hi Jordan can you please make one video about karaoke setup with this mixer and singing live or recording live? Thanks!!

Is the phantom power could damage the shure sm58 if i use sm58 and rodent1a together?
Vey Nice Vid! Btw can i use two headphones in this mixer?
Awesome!! You should do NT1 and a Mackie Pro series mixer combo 👀 just curious to hear how those Onyx preamps handle it
Lol. That's got to be one of the few combos that I haven't done yet. I'll add it to the list. Mackie ProFX10v3 & Rode NT1 coming up!
Does the MG10XU have the same pre-amp as the AG06? Which between the two would you suggest for streaming?

On the Yamaha, you should be aiming for 0 or so.
thank you. it is really useful
Glad it was helpful!

Honestly, I would just leave the EQ flat.
Thanks so much!
Can anyone share if MOTU M2 can be used in conjunction with MG10XU and if that enhances the audio / output?

@@kettnercreative Hello, so if I wanted to sing and record then both mixer and especially audio interface is unnecessary?
most streamer who use this combo main reason they complain about noise is usually due there enviroment
