    hi Jordan. I am 67 and a newbie to audio. this vid from the Yam I go buy is very very clear, special the split window and the pointing to the settings.

    Great video, explained beautifully. For a beginner, having helpful videos like these really takes the stress out of setting up a sound system, much respect!

    I love this guy's low key style. So many audio demonstrators on UA-cam try to come across as hip or funny and just become annoying. This channel has been a great discovery. Keep up the great work. Could you do some videos aimed at people doing home recording with audio interfaces like the Focusrite.

      Thanks Sally. I try get straight to the point because those are the videos I like best. I could probably do a better job of contextualizing some of the things I do, but this video was already ~10 min without story time.
      What type of things do you want to know about the Focusrite? What do you want to learn more about?

      @@sallywigney2410 No problem at all, we have a video coming out in a couple days showing how to connect the Yamaha MG10 to a Presonus USB Audio Interface - I believe this will show you everything that you need to know for this. We do have a Focusrite as well and will try produce more content with this specific interface in the future. If you have any other questions, just let me know and we'll keep making videos to help answer as best as we can.

      Do you know if the mixer’s driver, steinberg for PC, helps with the USB out volume issue? I am thinking about returning this mixer and getting one of the Behringer usb mixers. I plan to use this mixer for interactive zoom sessions, as I am a rhythm and drum circle facilitator and leadership trainer. I mix spoken voice, 1 or 2 mics for my djembe, and backing tracking from a music app into it (from an itouch). I realize that the Yamaha is suppose to be a more quality brand, but the usb out flexibility is very important for me. Do you do consultations for solopreneurs? Deb www.austinrhythmanddrum.com

    • @kettnercreative
      @kettnercreative  4 роки тому

      @@kuponopeyton4895 Unfortunately we don't do any consulting at this time. We just make videos since our A/V business is pretty much shut down during covid.
      In terms of the "quiet USB issue" - I would say honestly that the issue is more related to improper gain structure than a quiet USB output. The meter on this mixer MUST be hitting 0 when you speak into the microphone normally. Don't be afraid to use the gain to increase the output of your microphone. Everyone is very gain shy because of bad information on UA-cam, don't be shy to crank the gain as high as you need to in order to get the desired volume (your meter MUST hit 0).
      I hope this helps,

      How much is it? I'm getting a PA system hopefully and I am not technically savvy at all i can barely work my phone lmao. I have no idea what I'm doing. I've seen it once and wasnt sure too much what I was looking at their are two speaker or amplifier things and two big ones. With the cover off the big ones have a horn looking opening on top probably for vocals and two subwoofers inside. So two big ones of those and two small speakers or amplifiers idk. I'm a drummer and I probably wont be micing up my drums anytime soon because I have no drum mics. I got it for when I jam with people I wont have to ever complain about not hearing bass, vocal, guitar esc gain. So it also had a thing that had some inputs that I took a picture of to see what chords i needed i didnt look to see if it was a mixing station i only looked at the back of it for the imputs.

I would like to know once you activate the phantom power, which is with only one switch, is it apply power to all the XLR inputs at the same time OR only to the condenser mic channel. I have yamaha MG12XU. Thank you very much in advance.

    I'm getting a PA system I've got a good deal ik somebody who got a church's setup. I'm a drummer and not technically savvy so I'm just learning about all of this. I'm getting this so that I never have to strain to hear an instrument I'm jamming with again. I dont think I'll b micing up my drums anytime soon because I dont have mics for it... anyways it has two monitor speaker things and two big output speakers with two subwoofers and a horn looking thing probably for vocals each. I took a picture of the back of a thing that had inputs to see what the chords I need to buy would look like. I didnt look at the top of it to see if that was a mixing board I'm not sure what I was looking at. If I do have to get a mixing board whats the lowest price I could buy one. I dont mind if ita simple I'm just starting out.

      The MG10XU is not a powered mixer, so you need powered speakers or an external app. But yeah, we should probably make a video on how to do Karaoke with this mixer.

I have 1 question, i bought a cheap xlr mic just to talk with my friends on discord and play videogames, and i was wondering if i should buy a mixer or an audio interface, i wanna be able to manage all my audio outside of the computer (i have Edifier RT1280B speakers and Philips Fidelio X2 headphones + the xlr mic i bought). What would you recommend? Thanks beforhand!

    I was waiting for you to explain how do we take outout from the mixer. Means what type. Of cable TS or TRS to be connected to monitor points. I have PreSonus Eris 3-5 monitors and it needs to 2 TRS cable on one end found to monitors. Pl tell what other end should be TRS or TS.

    • @kettnercreative
      @kettnercreative  4 роки тому

      I’ve never tested it myself, but yes I believe it would work well for you. You could connect the mixer to your MBox using either XLR or 1/4” cables. You could also just use the USB output on this mixer to connect to the computer directly.

    Hello everyone! I'm new to the channel and the subject and just had a couple of easy question anyone please feel free to answer! I've been practicing the Law of Attraction for awhile now and would like to make positive affirmation subliminal music? Meaning I'd like to record my voice underneath music (very very very low) saying things like I AM HEALTHY, I AM LOVE, I AM POSITIVE AND ETC then place the music or calming sound music over those positive affirmations. If these audio mixer are able to do this, can you please recommend the bare minimum that I would need. My intentions is to go with a 4 channel audio mixer, then what else is needed? Condenser or Dynamic mics? The mixer would strictly be used for making subliminals and not DJing! I'd would like to thank you in advance, thanks! BB
