The actors for Captain Cold and Heatwave played the main characters who were brothers on a show called Prison Break. The line "Maybe in some alternative life you were an engineer" was a reference to Mike schofield, the character "Captain Cold" plays from Prison Break. I found this out a couple of days ago and now captain cold and heatwave are 2x more intriguing to watch.
This is still my favorite reaction, since it's that surprising "omg, the show just started" that kinda carries throughout this season and the next - what a great pilot
I've already finished all the episodes of all 4 seasons before watching these reactions and when Eric said, "This show's amazing" I'm thinking "You have no idea"
Q&A: In Season 1, Episode 14 of Flash when Barry first learned might time travel in the future, he went to Stein to talk about it because 25 years prior he had wrote a paper about Time Travel for the Oxford University Press and Stein revealed he still had blackboards filled with theorizing about it. I am starting to wonder if the idea was put into young Stein's head by this event, but the actual memory was lost or suppressed, maybe by Hunter when he "called him" to get him to go to the mixer. The idea of all this having already happened is supported by the Professor's death last episode.
True. When he died I was like, “...Oh no, Carter died...what a tragedy, he was an important member to the team. He was so helpful when...well, he did save...I mean at least he has an interesting personality...yeah I can’t lie anymore, both Carter and Kendra are useless boring heroes.”
During the previews for the show, as in prior to the show beginning, they kept mentioning Atom, Firestorm, Heatwave, Captain Cold, White Canary and Hawkgirl, but not Hawkman. I felt like they used him, as you said, for Coulson.
Q&A: In the finale of Flash's first series, Eobard mentions Rip Hunter as an interesting man. As both have time travelled, what do you think the relationship between the two was like?
Q&A - Honestly, I think the writers are either geniuses or super lucky. You questioned Stein not remembering this, but if we think back a bit, he may well remember all of this at least subconsciously. He was super focused on Alpha Particles, he thought it'd be his big contribution to science back in the 70's... But in earlier Flash episodes, Stein obsesses over time and geeks out over the possibility of time travel. This event might have been what caused this obsession, and what led to all his research on the matter.
love how you guys love heatwave and Captain cold. they are my favorites too. they were always great on the flash but having them full time in this show is such a plus!
Q&A - What stops them from going to the time just after Oliver and Barry defeated Savage? That should be when he was the most vulnerable. They could figure out how he literally rose from the ashes. In this situation, not only do they know exactly where he is, they also know he is defenseless. So go over, grab their ashes and sort it out. (Of course, they don't know Ra's went over there, but I am sure all of them together can handle him.) I mean, at least Kendra and Ray KNOW about it in detail. (Kendra in particular).
Q&A/Comment: A subtle easter egg from the writers when captain cold says "Do we fish or cut bait". Kinda reminded me of Zoom and Henry Allen for referencing both phrases on The Flash. Loved the reaction guys especially when Eric said "FUCK THAT"S JUST THE INTRO AARON!!"
It seems odd to me that in the DC universe no one knows history. I.E. The reverse flash doesn't know what time period the Flash is from. And here, a time master can't find the immortal big bad.
+MoRiellyMoProblems not at first. Rip could not find Vandall at first. That is why they searched for the professor / hawk's kid. They needed his expertise
Madison Badger It seems you're under the impression that Rip should able to find a person at a fixed point in time, it doesn't work like that. He can narrow down the location based on the time period, but you still need to physically search for that person.
+Madison Badger Part of the problem is that time is always in a flux. There are some fixed points and the overall narrative is the same, but the details may change.
+Madison Badger "Savage is very good at covering his tracks and avoiding the spot light, even Gideon has had a hard time tracking him." Savage avoids being seen by using others to do his evil, he sits near the throne of power like the presidents and terrorists and makes them do his work.
RIP didnt know about the dagger. He saw Carter dead and since only they can kill Vandal he knew that Kendra was their last hope, thats why he said "Kendra's injured, take her to the ship .... she is the only one that can kill Savage." He should of said "the only one now." to clarify he did not know about the whole her blade part.
QNA Theory: Carter was faked killed. First off it motivated everyone to obey Rip Hunter which he was trying to get people to do. Second Rip instantly said we need HER to kill Savage. Maybe Rip and Carter had some sort of communication between the two characters. This may seem too similar to Avengers but I would love the shock and awe from when Carter comes back and makes the whole team feel untrusted and betrayed. Especially Hawkgirl poor Kendra. She just lost her son and now her reincarnated lover!
Q&A: Do you think Vandal Savage might actually be behind Rip Hunter doing the mission? It could explain why Hunter knew that Hawkman or Hawkgirl has to deal the deathblow, and there was a similar Justice League episode called "Hereafter" that had Superman go into the future where Vandal Savage was happy to see him since he was the only human left after he had destroyed the world, and helped Superman get back so he could stop him.
at the end of next weeks legends, you guys should do a bit where one of you disappears b/c the time line got messed up Lmao also your flash endings are great !
They did say why they couldn't fight Savage at the time of Green Arrow, Flash and the Hawks fighting him, they said it wouldn't be a good idea to fight him at the height of his power
Q&A: For sure Carter is going to be back, but what do you guys think about the dynamic changing? This will probably mean that Kendra is now going to be one who has to educate a reincarnated Carter, a stark parallel to how they met on The Flash. Also, I just think it's brilliant writing to kill him off the bat. In a team dynamic it's smart to kill off an important main member to not only raise the stakes of the show but bring the group together (ie. Coulson from Avengers).
+Blind Wave Q N A : The actor who plays sarah . caitylotz tweeted that there was a deleted scene in the pilot where a little flirting was going on between Sarah and captain cold. do u guys think this means anything or do u think they deleted it cause they changed their mind and didn't want Sarah to have a relationship with cold cuz she's being described as bisexual.
Or Doctor Who. It's super nerdy but super weird and love to see reactions to that. Not many reactions to Sherlock or Doctor Who. Besides, Legends of Tomorrow is basically Doctor Who.
I really hope they eventually dip into Firestorm's transmutation abilities instead of relying on just fire. Didn't Stein hint at that before they left for Philly on The Flash?
QnA: Anyone else think it was dumb to play Carter's death for any kind of drama when they can literally go to the future and pick him up in another incarnation as if nothing happened?
For questions such as "Why not...? or Why don't they just...?", the answer is obviously because the show wouldn't even last a season as they would be able to defeat Savage in a few episodes.
I was kind of expecting Hawkman to have died in that Flash/Arrow episode, since he wasn't in a lot of "Legends" promos and he tends to be doing that a lot in almost every one of his non-comic appearances.
Marc Guggenheim addressed Hawkman reincarnating but not sure if that might be a spoiler, I do think we'll see him again but in the past. They could team up on Savage but it is tough with all the goons surrounding him
QNA: What other time periods or major events in world history would you like to see them go to? I personally would like to see them in the Civil War era, but I'm not sure if that would be considered a big enough world event for them to use...
Cisco was right Carter's 0 for 208 now! R.I.P For what it was the pilot was great, I'm wondering when they'll bring in Valentina Vostok and Jonah Hex can't wait for next weeks episode!
(Q&A) 1) Why can't they just go back to the time where carter and Kendra and just kill savage there? I mean it wouldn't really effect the timeline , or maybe it will though. What do you guys think? 2) who is so far your most favorite to least favorite character? Label them from first to last. (Btw, you guys remind me of heatwave and captain cold)
QNA: They already confirmed 2 characters will appear in this show (I won't spoil it) but the question is,what characters do you think will show up in this show/who would you personally want to see appear?
QNA: Do you guys think that the LOT team will get a new hawkman from 2016 or do you think that they'll just use a hawkman from whatever year that they visit?
Blind Wave My humble and inconsequential observations: 1) Hawkman isn´t killed off. Not even DC has dared to do it in the comics. On stand bye yes. Killed off no. 2) I assume that his death is to count for something - to make Kendra into that savage, bad ass, take no prisoners, goddess that Hawkman/Carter kept insisting she embrace (along with the fierce loyal lover he so wanted to connect with). She was too slow to catch on and now that she fulling remembers and feels for him, and at the same time losing him, will be a cross to bear. She will not rest until he is back and embrace the warrior Hawkman kept saying was in her all long. At least that is how I think it should play out 3) Ray´s suit is not an Iron man or Ant Man knock off. It is an OMAC suit that he created and is learning to use, but with new nanotech adjustments he added to it (Omacs were invented by Jack Kirby in the 70s and given a revamp in Infinite Crisis. Kirby worked with Marvel and DC). In Arrow Season 3, when the ATOM suit is introduced, he tells Felicity it is an OMAC suit. No one picked up on that detail. OMACS exist in Flarrowverse. 4) Cronos is Palmer´s arch enemy, like what Reverse Flash is to Flash and Merlyn is to Arrow. Kronos, being a master time traveler, must know who Palmer is, but Palmer doesn´t. Hope that plays out in the series. 5) Hawkman in the comics is Ray Palmer´s best friend. He is to Ray what Hal Jordan is to Ollie and Barry. I was hoping that would emerge and progress. But with Hawkman out for the moment who is Ray getting advice from - Snark????!!!!!!. In that I am disappointed. 6) I hope the show shows us the genesis of the idea of the Rogues. Snark´s ego is a bit but hurt, so to ensure a name for himself. it would be cool to see how he cooks up and develops the Rogues idea and how it later plays out in Flash tv show. 7) Snark´s remark to Ray about survival - very ominous. Ray is always about surviving - Sword of the ATOM and COIE, Search for Ray Palmer, Identity Crisis, Convergence, Dark Knight Returns II. Very ominous. LOT looks so promising !!!
It really bums me out that Hawkgirl and Hawkman are so disappointing in this show, like they basically have them be chumps in this show, like do some Injustice stuff and have Hawkgirl throw her mace while she's flying and fly toward someone with the mace or something, god lol
+WibblyWobblyTimeyWimey yeah genius idea, they should make hawks overpowered kill savage and each man have a relationship with Sarah by the end of ep 4. End of the little series. That's why you aren't a movie director.
DarkAngel Not saying that at all stop putting words in my mouth, but they still are weak as piss, every time they've appeared they get their dick kicked in and now one of them is dead..... They aren't strong characters whatsoever, both figuratively and literally
NoName1462 Yes and they've appeared 3 times and are reincarnated beings from Ancient times with wings.... They should be at least more skilled or have more interesting personalities to make up for their obvious lack of skill when they're the only ones who can actually take Savage down
+Gabriel Tzukishiro it took less than 2 episodes for Smallville to establish Hawkman as a strong force and stand out personality - it shouldn't take more than that to do in a show where they are suppose to be lead characters - if they can do it immediately with Captain Cold and Heatwave, then they should do it right with Hawkman and Hawkgirl, it is an issue of mishandling the characters and how they are displayed and it becomes glaring when they are put in a cast with other characters who all offer some unique and strong personalities
Q&A. I don't believe professor Stein should remember yet the events of his younger self meeting the team because technically he is outside of the timeline and I believe once he they return to the present timeline then all the changes that have happened will effect them and their memories will be altered to adjust to the new present timeline. Thoughts?
Q&A: Do you think that there will be a crossover episode where the arrow and flash characters help out the team, or do you feel like it has been made clear that the Flash and Arrow will not come on the show?
QnA I fuckin love this show so far. The pilot was so much fun and especially this episode almost felt like a movie with the amazing wide action shots that never end lol. I hope they can keep it up, that they have the budget to be able to keep it going. Do ya'll think this will be sustainable? OMG Sara's 70's outfit was so HOT. Also did you notice the sound of Atom's weapon recharge after he shoots Savage at the end, it sounded just like Iron Man's?
Don't worry Barry has the speed in it's legs and uses it only for running while he uses his hands to fight Did he forgot after the lightning had striken how to kick someone?
QNA: Do you think that Professor Stein's change to a bad-ass leader role on the LoT team is more just a choice made by the writers or truly his character developing. I like him a lot more on this show and feel that on the Flash he was usually minimized to the scientific-talky-warning-impending-doom guy.
Liked this episode much more than the first. My one beef is that it's a bit weird a time traveling space ship co-piloted by a hyper advanced AI hologram wouldn't have an alpha particle detector SOMEWHERE on it.
I definitely prefer the opening shot of Age of Ultron to this one, but then again I prefer Age of Ultron to nearly everything. I liked this episode well enough, but I'm not sure if it will hold up to scrutiny any better than the first episode.
I know. I wasn't even strictly comparing them effects wise. Eric just said he was more invested with these characters than the Avengers and I'm nowhere near there yet.
well, someone had to die for this group of misfits to have a reason to stand together and fight, and to be honest, Hawkman always seemed doomed in whatever incarnation as the one who dies first - he died in Smallville too and was a reason for a rallying of heroes - seems to be Hawkman's live action MO, die and rally the team, poor thing ---- but this is time traveling so you are certainly correct that we can easily see him back, and I do believe the actor is listed for a couple more episodes
Q&A Hi guys was just wondering about the age of Damian dark in this episode. If it's 40 odd years in the past then he must age well. Is this a ability he has of not ageing. I was also wondering about the presence of hive. Have they always been a force that works in the shadows similar to vandal savage
Q+A: Since Hawkman was 'killed', what will happen to Savage if he only absorbs Hawkman and not Hawkgirl as well? Also would Hawkgirl need to sacrifice herself so that Hawkman can reincarnate?
Q+A Do you think the gang of Legends of Tomorrow will still appear in Arrow and The Flash? It's a time-travel show, meaning Hunter can bring them back merely a day after they are gone on their ''kill Savage'' mission. So they'd be like: ''Sure, we've just spent a year hunting down Vandal Savage throught time, but for you guys it's like only a day has passed!'' Just saying, they'd be allowed to do that! :p Time-travel FTW! :p
QnA one bit that bothers me is why couldn't Martin just build an alpha ray detector himself if he invented the dang thing 40 years ago? He's not senile so he has to know how to build one.
I think if you go too far in the past the probability of crapping on the timeline increases greatly. The ramifications of changing things get more and more complex
Q+A: Eobard Thawne / Reverse Flash is born 2151so do you think it is possible that he will be in LoT as well ? Or that that he and Rip Hunter know each other ?
I know you've teased it but do you think you'll ever do a reaction series of Doctor Who? And if so do you know generally when you might start? I've just started Rewatching it on Netflix myself and its just as good as I remember it! lots of nostalgia for me being a Brit
+reverse flash Stephen Amell posted on face book that episode 6 of Legends of Tomorrow we will see an older version of him with one arm and Connor Hawke, and the trademark Green Arrow goatee.
QnA Do you think Hawkgirl will be a more badaass fighter now that she has remembered some more plus she has a chip on her shoulder now with Carter's death
I didn't notice that line...awesome
I thought Michael was an architect? Also I love prison break, it’s such a good show!

When this comment was written I was in the 5th grade... thats fun
When Eric said "Fuck!! that's just in the intro Aaron!!!'" I had to pause and go "OMG he's right, by george." Awesome show.
vandal savage is basically cell and hawkgirl/hawkguy are the androids.
+dimkacracker only the androids dont reincarnate.
+Silent Gamer2015 he means that in they way their consciousness can transfer between bodies
This is still my favorite reaction, since it's that surprising "omg, the show just started" that kinda carries throughout this season and the next - what a great pilot
omg, coming here 4 years later and this show is like, totally another show hahhaha i love it!
I've already finished all the episodes of all 4 seasons before watching these reactions and when Eric said, "This show's amazing" I'm thinking "You have no idea"
Anyone else notice when Sara said "I love them both", Jax started smirking. I think he understood the true context of that statement. ;)
As always, amazing reaction!!! :D

+nvj29 I think their choices of shows are spot on.
The episode I'm exited to watch already is called star city 2046.
+Flavio Cedillo Stephen Amell has confirmed he is playing a one armed Oliver in there with Conner Hawk, potential Dark Knight Returns easter eggs.
prof Stein might remember those scenes but will just disregard it as one of his hallucinations under influence of cannabis

Hawkgirl just needs training, which she will get from Sara coming up.
Thoughts?
The Hawkgirl/Hawkman reincarnation thing could be random and not every 200 years, as they were around to have their son after WWI.
Don't worry Barry has the speed in it's legs and uses it only for running while he uses his hands to fight
Did he forgot after the lightning had striken how to kick someone?
QNA: Do you think that Professor Stein's change to a bad-ass leader role on the LoT team is more just a choice made by the writers or truly his character developing. I like him a lot more on this show and feel that on the Flash he was usually minimized to the scientific-talky-warning-impending-doom guy.
Liked this episode much more than the first. My one beef is that it's a bit weird a time traveling space ship co-piloted by a hyper advanced AI hologram wouldn't have an alpha particle detector SOMEWHERE on it.
+Jude Miller i dont see why it would. its a time machine why would it need to be able to track shrinking tech
I definitely prefer the opening shot of Age of Ultron to this one, but then again I prefer Age of Ultron to nearly everything. I liked this episode well enough, but I'm not sure if it will hold up to scrutiny any better than the first episode.
They did it first. And beyond that, the budget for Legends is about as far from "small" as you can get.
I know. I wasn't even strictly comparing them effects wise. Eric just said he was more invested with these characters than the Avengers and I'm nowhere near there yet.
Hyperbole is helpful when I'm feeling lazy. But yes, it is one of my favorite movies.
Q&A: If you met younger Martin Stein, would you guys spark a doobie with him since he's so cool? lol
Still laughing about that Arrow smoke joke -_-
well, someone had to die for this group of misfits to have a reason to stand together and fight, and to be honest, Hawkman always seemed doomed in whatever incarnation as the one who dies first - he died in Smallville too and was a reason for a rallying of heroes - seems to be Hawkman's live action MO, die and rally the team, poor thing ---- but this is time traveling so you are certainly correct that we can easily see him back, and I do believe the actor is listed for a couple more episodes
Q&A: Do you think they will run into and pick up another version of Hawk Man?
1: The Flash 2: LoT3:Arrow
Q&A Hi guys was just wondering about the age of Damian dark in this episode. If it's 40 odd years in the past then he must age well. Is this a ability he has of not ageing. I was also wondering about the presence of hive. Have they always been a force that works in the shadows similar to vandal savage
+Alex Williams he's not ageing, he's like Ra's al Ghul.
+Alex Williams It's expected he also has access to a Lazarus Pit, since he was connected to Ra's al Ghul in the past.
So they'd be like: ''Sure, we've just spent a year hunting down Vandal Savage throught time, but for you guys it's like only a day has passed!''
Just saying, they'd be allowed to do that! :p Time-travel FTW! :p
Rule 1: A time master/time lord lies.
Loved the opening right up until I saw the nuke with the massive digital clock and a single big red button.
QnA one bit that bothers me is why couldn't Martin just build an alpha ray detector himself if he invented the dang thing 40 years ago? He's not senile so he has to know how to build one.
#QnA With all the possibilities open which time-period would you guys like to see featured on the show?
Qanda what characters would you like to see on this show? old versions of superheros... ? also they casted a love interest for sara ... btw
QNA Do you guys think we will see the reverse flash or the flash or arrow when there're older in a future episode?
Step one: Freeze Vandal Savage
Step two: Stab Vandal Savage
Problem solved?
QnA Don't think they can go back as far as the 1300s. Didn't Rip say travelling too far can have ramifications
Wow, this is pretty early, I like it
I think if you go too far in the past the probability of crapping on the timeline increases greatly. The ramifications of changing things get more and more complex
QNA: Do you think we will ever see Boostergold (aka Rip's father) on the show?
Q+A: Eobard Thawne / Reverse Flash is born 2151so do you think it is possible that he will be in LoT as well ? Or that that he and Rip Hunter know each other ?
I know you've teased it but do you think you'll ever do a reaction series of Doctor Who? And if so do you know generally when you might start?
I've just started Rewatching it on Netflix myself and its just as good as I remember it! lots of nostalgia for me being a Brit
you guys are awsome
AWESOME Show! Heatwave rocks it :-)
QNA did yoe think that we will see future barry and future oliver?
+reverse flash Stephen Amell posted on face book that episode 6 of Legends of Tomorrow we will see an older version of him with one arm and Connor Hawke, and the trademark Green Arrow goatee.
QnA Do you think Hawkgirl will be a more badaass fighter now that she has remembered some more plus she has a chip on her shoulder now with Carter's death
you're the best guys! !!! i See all your video ! saluti dall Italia :-)
Hey guys love the vids! Are you gonna do reactions to lucifer, from what i've seen it looks pretty entertaining
