A bit late to the party but I loved this one. This is my home. The opening shot was just up the road from Bennar Beach, Black Rock Sands is an institution for young drivers to spend their evenings driving. And then going to T H Roberts coffee shop and eating Meg’s cake and talking to Sam (Meg’s grandson) about his bike. Love it.
By the way, go to Black Rock out of season and there’s nobody manning the booth to tell you that you can’t ride your bike 😜

For the final Welsh video that I filmed yesterday, I did a 450+ mile day. The Enfield did it with ease, and I was comfortable all day. Monika says it’s the second most comfortable bike she’s ever been on (just behind my Bonneville with the King and Queen seat).
The bike can do everything and can comfortably be one’s only bike. It is… a joy❤️🏍️

Incredible video as always Freddie. I've been to Wales in july and I feel so dumb that I didn't know about that beach. Such a shame that UK/Europe is so strict on these kinds of stuff, same goes for off-roading. It seems ridiculous to use the ‘H&S’ excuse. Whose health & safety? Riding there on a motorbike could jeopardise your H&S. Surely it’s for the individual to decide. If it’s down to antisocial riding, that should be said & policed - although car drivers can be antisocial too. Annoying nanny-state attitudes.

I don't know why, but a reason could be that bikes frequently don't have engine covers obligatory for cars, so they can potentially spill oil.

No Bikes because those that rule this fantastic country are MORONS NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS MORONS I.E. 2000 bikes come to Wales well North Wales every weekend during the summer so what do the Morons do make it as hard as possible "lets put as many blocks as we can in the way " 20M.P.H. speed limits that cost 33 million yep 33 million get as many police cars and camers out to catch them speeding.. Fuck the schools and Hospitals they dont need the cash but we do to pay our wages its a total joke it honestly is.. As a Welshman all I can say is sorry !!!!!!!!!but please come back because we need every one of you and we are not all ass holes as a lot of folk think we are just like you trying to survive with Morons at the helm !!!!!!!!!!!Rant Over !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry it is not their reasoning is safety and saving lives what a load of bollocks that is how many deaths in 2022 and 2023 in 30 zones ?????NIL !!!!!!!!!!! We have more avarage speed cameras in Wales than the rest of the world Well if they can talk shit so can I !!

Hi Freddie. Been to Blackrock sands since being little in the 60's. One of my earliest memories of the region was a pack of Angels cruising along the beach one evening. Made quite an impression. They used to camp at a site by the cliffs. North Wales is a great area for biking. My wife and I try to shoot up from our base in the Forest of Dean at least twice a year. Beddgelert and the Lanberris pass on a rainy day is really worhwhile. So is Criccieth ( castle, superb chip shop, pebble beach) and Abersoch (upmarket and boaty) Keep up the great work!

Ahh what memories. Used to spend all our holidays in at Green Acres Caravan site at Black Rock Sands, Morfa Bychan, back in the 70’s. Love North Wales. That was Criccieth Castle you saw in the background on the beach. You should have gone there (if time permitted). As a holiday treat we would go there for fish and chips and home made Cadwaladers ice cream! Not sure if they’re still there? Sitting ‘on’ a bike offers much better views than ‘in’ a car. I even liked the average speed cameras as they meant I was much less likely to get blasted by a ‘crotch rocket’. Keep up the good work as you are making people’s lives better, not ‘just’ making (excellently crafted) videos.

Hi Freddie great to meet you at Copdock today, I was the beardy bald bloke with menieres, and my Mrs had been looking out for you all day. Have you thought about coming to Sudbury, about 40 minutes from Ipswich, we have TTT motorcycles, like a budget Krazy Horse, plus canoe trips down the Stour. You want about 3 hours to get down to the Henny Swan for lunch and get back to Sudbury. It's great fun and quite scenic. Probably make an interesting video. If you're on the bike, a trip to the Lamarsh Red Lion would be very picturesque aswel. Really enjoying your videos. All the best, Rob and Julia.😊

I moved from southern england to north wales 20 years ago for all the reasons you mention. In good weather the ducati comes out, bad weather the himalayan hits the green lanes. Hiking good also. Honestly believe i am in biking nirvana. Still within good proximity of civilisation and manchester airport. My brother recently moved from Denver Colorado to Harlech as fell in love with the coastline and mountains and has just planted out a vineyard looking out to sea. If you are back in wales in 4 years time ill arrange a private tour. Perfect climate for grapes apparently. Cali moto app helps keep you away from busy roads and average speed camera zones. My business has offices in conwy, liverpool and chester but conwy has the nicest people / clients. Never had an issue with the welsh, most genuine lovely people. Enjoy rest of your time in gods country.

Blackrock sands , our favorite beach, we're there in two weeks for a long weekend for our wedding anniversary, and going on our bikes, love the place, must say it hasn't always been like that you used to be able to ride on the beach, we've been going there for over thirty years, if you go in the winter months it's quiet and you can ride on the beach.
You could be cheeky and go back in the evening when he's gone but ride respectfully, as no doubt you would! 😉

Black Rock Sands. The castle you pointed out is Cricketh Castle, and about 30 mins away from there is the cottage I used to stay at with about 10 friends I associated with at our now defunct local rock bar in Chesterfield. Sorely miss those days and it's nice to see the area again, even if only in via video 🙂

But in those days you were lucky to see more than 15 cars on the beach at anyone given time. How times have changed.. Having said that it looks like there were not many cars on the day you were there ??Probably something to do with folk being fed up of the regs in Wales ??????????????????????PleasePlease return and take time to review the land in its full glory its worth everyminute of your time trust me !!!!!!!!!!!

These are two places you must visit. I'd be happy to guide you around Elan valley and the Pembrokeshire coasts.

That train is on the Cambrian Coast line, probably the most scenic in Britain. It will have started its journey at Pwllheli on the Lleyn Peninsula, and travelled along the coast via Porthmadog. It will then go on down the coast through Barmouth to Machynlleth where it turns inland on the Mid Wales line to Shrewsbury, terminating at Birmingham New St. I have travelled on it many times and it never fails to thrill with such magnificent scenery.

@@csc-photo im a relatively inexperienced rider, so im picking uo things as i go along. ive had it serviced twiced, and one warranty check. Recently just changed the oil, and topped up the brake fluid my self for the first time too. Very approachable for new riders, and accessible for people who like to be able to fix things themselves. Also ive not heard anything about valves being checked monthly, but ill look into it.
