I like to have the sleeves nice and long as per the white one you were wearing on the Isle of wight trip, also been trying to source a pair of the Alpha trousers as well but not with much success as yet. Watching from the states, what a beautiful place my grandfather was stationed on the Isle of Wight from 1902 to 1908 in the British Army. He ended up in Gibraltar for his reserves and he stayed in Gib.
Love the Isle of Wight me - me and Mrs Flyer are regular visitors by air (but never with the bike...yet!). If you go again I recomend Steep Hill Cove near Ventnor - take the track next to the cricket club down to some amazing hidden beach side fish cafe's.....
Like most people outside of Britain, I first learned about the Isle of Wight in a lyric from the Beatles song, "When I'm Sixty-Four." Then, I saw parts of it for the first time in a Sam Pilgrim cycling video about a year ago. Your video is the first I'm seeing that focuses solely on its beauty and splendor. Lived on the West Wight in Freshwater for 2 years. An unforgettable experience and there really is nothing like living by the sea, most weekends included 10-15 mile walks around the coast surrounded by the most astounding scenery. Great video!
Lovely. I went there the end of August 2024. Travelled from Pompey and camped at the Windmill Campsite. Me and my 25 year old Triumph Tiger. Loved the Military Road, Went to Mottisstone, beautiful views from the stones atop the hill, further along you can just about see France. Good times.
Been coming to the IoW since the mid 1970s with my family when I was a small child. I've kept coming back since then. The fortunes of the resorts wax and wain but I've never fallen out of love with the island. Always find peace and beauty. I've been a motorcyclist since aged 16 in 1985 but never yet taken a motorbike there. Plenty of cars but never a bike. I think that I need to fix this. Thanks Freddie and Monika.
I agree about getting on the ferry. It evokes so many fond memories of childhood holidays. As they say sometimes the journey is more important than the destination! All the best.

It’s just beautiful there. Revisited the island last year with my Dad for the first time since I was 14….I’m 45 now and bumped into a guy we used to see there all the time. It’s my safe place.
Now I know why I watch more youtube than regular tv, finding gems like this channel. Live in Christchurch just across the water, but love visiting the Isle of Wight. Going again next week, so excited. Great evening bands midweek at the spyglass Ventor.
WOW! Greetings from British Columbia,Canada. Loved your vid & commentary. I was born & raised in Ryde on the Island, and, after serving 5 yrs in the RAF, I took a job driving a tour bus for Paul’s Tours on the Island. Met my lovely wife while in that job & married her a few months later. One of the fun things I used to do as a coach driver was, following an evening tour to some beauty spot and a few drinks in a pub, I would get everyone singing well known songs of the time on the return trip to Ryde. There used to be maybe a dozen tour bus companies operating on the island, but I understand they were all bought out by the Southern Vectis Bus Company. Pity! We That was in 1956. We emigrated to Canada in Jan 1958. We’re still married & in our retirement years. Your video brought back many memories of travelling those roads. I see the road has changed a lot around Blackgang Chine due to the “land slip” . . . I’m now in my late 80’s. I doubt I will ever travel to the island again but I do keep informed as I have a sister, & sister-in-law living there as well as a nephew & his family. Thanks for the memories.

In 2014 we visited the Isle of wight and we were absolutely amazed about the beauty of that little Island! We stayed for one night at "The boat house", had an absolutely delicious dinner and a wonderful quiet night in a little suite, decorated with so much love for details, that we absolutely fell in love with that place and the whole island. We will definitely come back to spend another longer holiday at one of the beautiful beaches!! Thanks for the nice video and reminding me of a beautiful holiday!!

I grew up on the Isle of Wight, lived there till I moved away 20 years ago. Visiting for first time next year. I do miss the place, so will happy to see it again and catch up with old friends. Maybe get more ideas for my next book.

Isle of Wight's definitely on my bucket list now. If you're ever tempted to visit the Peak District, a very popular biker hangout is Matlock Bath. It's like someone took a seaside resort and moved it into Derbyshire.
Hey guys, great video. My partner and I were on the Isle of Wight just a couple of weeks ago for our anniversary and, like yourselves, were completely blown away by how beautiful it was. If you're looking for another beautiful area to explore, we took our kids to cuckmere haven, seven sisters. Its absolutely stunning, although much of it is on foot. And the cuckmere inn is a fantastic place for a meal and a drink.
First time watching your video and only stumbled upon it but now I’m hooked because Bonneville is my dream bike. The Isle of Wight looks amazing, if you ever get the chance bring your bike to Achill Island in County Mayo, Ireland. You’ll thank me later ✊🏻🏍

You must visit “the needles” you could see them from the distance on your video. next time you planing a visit to the south ride around the new forest. Stop at Lyndhurst, visit the Beaulieu motor museum. Ride to Corfe Castle. And end up at the day at Old Harry Rocks. It’s stunning there. Enjoy the island.
I wish I had discovered your channel earlier in the year. I've lived on the island for just over 5 years. For a tourist it takes about a week to explore it properly. My recommendations. Cripple Path, Bonchurch Slip, Devil's Chimney, Luccombe Bay (at Spring low tide - see my video), Ventnor Downs in Spring (with evil looking goats), Bembridge RNLI lifeboat station, Monks Bay (seals), Steephill Cove, Tennyson Down, Gore Cliff, Blackgang Beach, Alverstone woodland walkways, Yaverland beach north of Sandown, Eastern bank of the Medina River, The Culver, Bembridge Ledge, Appuldurcombe House, The Longstone, Godshill Church, Watcombe Bay at low tide, Newtown Creek, Victoria Fort, Alum Bay, Carisbrooke Castle. I'm thinking of turning my 2 bed bunglow nto an Airbnb. 100Mbs broadband. Garage for bikes.

What a fantastic video, its like watching a TV program, very well done. We have been to I.O.W. for the last 2 years and we are off there again in a weeks time and looking forward to it. There was supposed to be motorbike racing but sadly its been cancelled again. Never mind we will still have a great trip. going to find Part 2 now.

Hey thanks for bigging up my home, makes me feel very lucky. One historical point tho` those forts in the Solent were built to keep Napoleon and his boney parts out (protect Portsmouth) I believe you can have a meal and stay on one of them.
Palmerston's forts. If you're interested in the history of them it's worth reading up on Palmerston's folly.... Hugely expensive and never needed but amazing piece of engineering for the time.
Now I know why back in the 60s my cousins used to vacation here in their caravan.......just absolutely beautiful! Also famous for the music, I think. Hello from Austin Texas.

The Military road into Freshwater has stunning views and great for bikes. The Piano bar is lovely, the Red Lion serves fantastic food.

What a fantastic video, its like watching a TV program, very well done. We have been to I.O.W. for the last 2 years and we are off there again in a weeks time and looking forward to it. There was supposed to be motorbike racing but sadly its been cancelled again.
Never mind we will still have a great trip. going to find Part 2 now.

Very enjoyable video, loved all places you showed. Really beautiful, and I think you are totally right, it's in the same league of mediterranean locations. But it's clean, roads are good, and you drive on the left side.

Welcome to my home! The forts date from the 1860’s. You made our island look very special indeed….which it is of course.
I was blown away by the beauty of it! And also amazed at how old the forts are!

Hey thanks for bigging up my home, makes me feel very lucky. One historical point tho` those forts in the Solent were built to keep Napoleon and his boney parts out (protect Portsmouth) I believe you can have a meal and stay on one of them.
Palmerston's forts. If you're interested in the history of them it's worth reading up on Palmerston's folly.... Hugely expensive and never needed but amazing piece of engineering for the time.
Now I know why back in the 60s my cousins used to vacation here in their caravan.......just absolutely beautiful! Also famous for the music, I think. Hello from Austin Texas.
