Riding Through Heavily Flooded Roads to a Unique Motorcycle Village!

- I headed off to TTT Motorcycles in Sudbury, but had to content with a river that burst its bank and completely flooded roads.
TTT Motorcycle Village is one of the most unique biker spots I've visited- with a collection of classic motorcycles, new bikes, cars, a cafe, and other quirky touches throughout!
Some of the bikes: Triumph T120, vintage Triumphs, Suzuki GSX1000r, Ducati 916, Kawasaki Z900RS, BMW RnineT, Laverda, Harley Davidson, Honda CB750, Royal Enfield Bullet, Suzuki Bandit 1200...

Your cavalier approach to things like flooded roads is equal parts impressive and bonkers 😂
As an Australian, where we have flood waters across roads on a regular basis, I think it's one part impressive and 9 parts bonkers! LOL!
Fully bonkers..
Prophetic words
This could damage the bike!
After watching you plow through the water, I'm putting that on my 'not to do' list. Keep up the good work!
I realised my stupidity about 15 seconds in, but it was far too late at that point!
Did it on a Triumph Street Scrambler. The last bow wave near knocked me off, but great fun!
@@FreddieDobbscertainly not one of your better ideas Freddie, it's a motorcycle, not a boat 😂
Hey Freddie.. 🫣 dohhh 🤣 too fast matie.. But love it ya kept on going.. Keep it UP 😊
@@s.crambling3795 One good thing about a high mounted exhaust.
Classic content. 🎉
Freddie on this bonneville take on stuff most GS rider will never dream of.
First north Africa, now flooded road. What a star 🌟
I’d certainly try it on my GS .
Riding through floods is quite common where I live on the mid Wales border, It floods here at least twice a year, I can safely say that my BMW GS is very capable of travelling through nearly two feet of water in complete confidence due to its high snorkel, so if you have purchased a GS and come across a flooded road, Go for it like Freddie, just don't follow a vehicle into it as you may have to stop, that's when the problems start,...OAP Wales UK.
Watching Freddie going through all that water on a Bonny, while so many GS owners just use them to go as far as their local coffee shops, brings out the diverse ways people choose to experience their motorcycles.
@@kayoedowner6711More than most, a charmed life.
TTT Motorcycles only left Bethnal Green 3 months ago. Very sad to see them go, Andy and the boys were always welcoming and helpful. Bike shops like this don't exist anymore in London but as soon as winter is over I'll ride up to Sudbury to say hello.
This place looks amazing
The Bonnie won’t be denied! I love it! That’s the most comprehensive moto shop I’ve ever seen.
At least your chain got cleaned... first time for everything!
As someone born in the early 80s and as an eventual teenager who could drive in the 90s, I can attest that there were a few motorcycle shops like this where I grew up in SE Texas; Beaumont and South Houston specifically. They were usually some sort of older industrial work building being reused as a very mom and popish motorcycle store filled the smell of everything that comes with motorcycle old and new standing side by side. Love it! Thanks for sharing!
OMFG! I had no idea such an amazing bike place existed and less than 2 hours from my home. I’m going there ASAP, many thanks for revealing it Freddie 👍🏻
Congratulations! Freddie!! You have just passed level one of your advanced aqua adventure course, I am in absolute fits of laughter, cheered my day up no end, you certainly know how to film good content and great entertainment, expect this episode to get record views,... That Motorcycle Village Shop and it's collection of classic bikes must be one of the best I have seen in quite some time, well done all involved, took me back to the good old days of the sweet smelling Castrol R and the ding ding ding of high reving two strokes,... More of the same Please,... OAP Wales UK.
Delighted you enjoyed it, thank you🙌🏻
Thanks Freddie! Love the water ride, extremely entertaining, it’s what you do best!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Bloody hell Freddie your as mad as a box of frogs!!! that water was a lot deeper than you thought. Bike sounds glorious with the new pipes.
What a great vid. Freddie. I needed cheering up today and you certainly hit the spot. Bravo to you for not falling off!
Excellent video Freddie, I have a Kawasaki Z900 RS and I definitely would have turned back rather than risk those floods! Great to see that classic Kawasaki Z900 from 1976, what a gem. 👍
Ohh Freddie, that is insane! The poor polished & detailed Bonneville is trashed😉
Such an incredible day’s adventures! So thank you 🙏⭐️
I enjoy these small trips around the country hosting us as if we are there with you in person. Thanks for your work Freddie.
Watching you taking a stanley knife to your petrol tank was painful. Watching you go through that flood was the funniest thing I've seen all week. Only you freddie. Cheers for that 😂
The wheel bearings and chain will love the dunking. :-)
Love it, crack on and get stuck in. Come hell or high water 😂. Well done Freddie for keepin it real.
The problem with deep water is that you have no clue what has been washed onto the road under water. See the recent Rufford Ford videos where a massive tractor and trailer dragged out two large concrete barriers washed into the road. Well done for surviving that though and great to see you out on the Bonneville again.
Good morning Freddie,
Great start to Sunday, thanks for uploading.
TTT looks great & I can imagine your excitement when you first entered the building.
The flooded roads: Bravado combined with a little tomfoolery = 🎯 Made me smile & really pleased you made it to terra firma ...
Keep doing what you do.
Have a lovely day and look forward to seeing your next video.
'Two things are infinite: the universe and the human stupidity.' Having watched the videos that come after this, I sincerely hope it was the best coffee you ever tasted. It certainly cost you enough.
He's so cavalier - a 'water damaged iPhone'....so that's a grand down the tubes.
I’ve driven past this place numerous occasions and thought it wasn’t very big and not bothered going in 😂 I shall be paying a visit very soon!
Loved the floods, shame about the church, I distinctly heard Bowie singing hope that doesn’t cost you and fantastic walk around that bike place - seen someone else do something similar possibly TMF - your friend!!
What a cool shop. Sounds like a trip when it's warm...and not wet. Braver man than me.
Brave or daft but very entertaining 😂 glad the trusty steed made it through
😂
PLAIN STUPID!
Hi Freddie, so pleased you enjoyed TTT, don't think you'll find anything like it down in Kent. Also nice to see Borley, it's where I was born in '63. My dad is buried in the churchyard there, my mum still lives in the village. It's actually in Essex, the bridge over the Stour is the border. You were only a mile from where the peasants revolt began at Liston. Also the whole area features in Lovejoy. Hope to see Monica and you back in Suffolk before too long. All the best.
The hovercraft at TTT was a surprise appearance . Might have been handy on the flooded roads 😮
I think others may have already told you Freddie. You don’t need to worry about water entering the exhaust. The only time you’ll have a problem is if water can enter the air box. Then it can be drawn into the carbs and the engine. Keep up the great vlogs they put a smile on everyone’s face. 👍👍
I do love your videos, Freddie, but sometimes you do the maddest things! Tank badge project, no protective gear (yesh, yeah, I know I bang on) and now ploughing through deep water! Lucky your poor old Bonny is still running! Be careful, Pal, you'll be needing a new bike at this rate. that said, you do make me giggle and with the state of the world right now that's a definite positive!
Great video, Thanks for taking one for your UA-cam channel viewers and getting soaked going through the flooded roads. I was shouting look at the XT 500's I could see in the background but unfortunately you didn't show them, next time maybe. TT Motorcycles looks a brilliant bikers place to visit and and buy your dream bike.
Well that’s off my bucket list 😂😂😂😂
very entertaining Freddie, especially you stood there in wet Cloth's! you definitely walk the walk, and not talk the talk. Keep up the good work. keep on Biking.
now thats love...lol...taking a bath with your Bonnie...LOL....gives new meaning to "liquid cooled"..lol...there were alot of classic bikes there that would look great in my garage..another great video..stay dry my friend..LOL...
Hats off Freddie. Your a brave man😅.
Freddie... you sir, are a bone fide lunatic.. I never thought I would see someone bow wave a Bonneville. Fair play mate. Rather you then me. 😂
"that was incredibly stupid!".... Ain't that the truth!😂
Nice one Freddie, who needs 'RAIN MODE' 🤣. If you are looking for a nice contemporary bike cafe with some unique bike builds & clothing, take a look at Koti in Chipping Campden in the Cotswolds. A nice ride out with some beautiful yellow bricked thatched cottages along the way 👍
Beautiful. The songs, roads, bikes buildings. Everything is wonderful. Missed the boat to come to uk and work for few years. Would have been beautiful to see the cars and bikes.
Brilliant brilliant brilliant ✅🤘
Wow! What a ride, and what a great motorcycle shop! After watching this i dont think i'll complain about a few drops of rain. Your videos are inspiring Freddie.
Another amazing insight into motorcycles along with the British countryside, thoroughly enjoyable viewing and what a find TTT Motorcycles is.
TTT Motorcycle Village definitely a place to go for me when visiting England on the motorcycle.
I’m watching this video after seeing your Bonnie damage suspected by previous outdoor storage and wading the floods
the old Riumph is looking good there buddy.
TTT is a truly amazing place, been there a few times now, always absolutely amazing selection of bikes,so well worth a visit.
Some lovely stuff there
Good job you lifted your legs up “it made all the difference😆”
I’ve never heard of TTT motorcycles but it looks like a good place to go visit
You complete nutter! Much respect and love the channel.
Amazing video, excellent camera work, editing and production and the content was brilliant! You're the man Freddie 😁
Same happened to me 2 weeks ago in Somerset!Coming home from work on my Triumph Rocket!Bow wave over my head!Made it through and thanked bike for getting me home😅😅😅
Blimey, those bikes may be old but the prices certainly aren't!
Cold wet and no doubt miserable and still able to pull off an off the cuff history lesson - bravo!
Another great episode! And nearly 30 minutes!!! Love it!
i chuckled a lot when you swung your feet up and out of the water
Great little cafe in that car park too! If you'd have taken a right at the car park you would have gone through Sudbury town centre and not got as wet! 😉😆
Just love your positivity Freddie!
Great video, Freddie. Loved the bit where you were riding through the flood - Excellent. Was just about to phone TTT Motorcycles and buy that Z900 - Then I saw the 1 in front of the 2,500. At first glance I read the 1 for a £ sign. Wishful thinking!! or, more likely - What was I thinking?
Morning Freddie
I would be like a kid in a candy shop Lol.
Great viewing from my balcony in gran canaria this morning
It’s an incredible place, Malcolm!
Please don’t rub it in🏝️☀️ Have a brilliant time!🙂
i have done the floods like you. it's an adventure you have now done !!!
Bet Monica freaked when she watched what you’d done ploughing through all that water! 😂 What a risk taker! Glad you got through it and all was ok? 👏 👏
Enjoyed this video, loved looking at all the bikes, TTT Motorcycles what a great place to visit.
Thanks for showing us this wonderful place! I have ridden in a flood like that but because it was raining I was in full rain gear.
Don’t listen to any naysayers. I love that jacket! It is not something I would wear but I appreciate that you do.
How good is your bonnie, brilliant bike. Almost unstoppable!
Enjoyed Freddie, cheers.
What you needed was the front mudguard off a Royal Enfield classic. A proper job.
Your escapade with the water distracted from a really nice video. You’re going to need the long mud guard option and lube the chain when you get home, lol.
Gotta love Freddie trying to qualify for a boating license. Looks like the bike did great-top man.
Owww man, those floaded roads had me on the edge of my seat, wondering if your bike was going to stall! So glad you made it, safe and sound, and wet...
TTT looks more like an absolutely amazing museum!
Great show! I have truly enjoyed it 👍🏼 from the sub-bonnie to that great place full of iconic bikes... lovely ✌🏼
An amazing find, Freddie. Really enjoyable to watch. Thanks
your luck held out in those floods,,, TTT looks like a cracking place to spend few hours,,thanks for video,,
That place.. wow.. oh and the new exhaust.. sounds great. 👍🏻
What a great shop . Never have seen a shop like that in the states . I'm sure they are but not near me . Makes me want to start riding again but I promised my family when i hit 70 i would quit . Maybe a 250 in the spring
Great video Freddie, lovely stock of old and some new bikes, a dream destination to grab a coffee ☕️ hope you dried out ok 👍 the Bonny looks and sounds way better with your new to you exhaust 🤌 thankfully some dry weather today so heading out for a coffee with an old friend from Australia who I have not seen for 22 years 😮 have a great Sunday Nick 👊
Oooo this sounds great! I hope you have a great day, Nick!☀️🇦🇺
OMG, you are a crazy man!!! Love it! But keep safe :)
You are like a kid in a sweet shop in that place as most of us would be.
My thoughts exactly.👍
Almost a Triumph submarine 😊
This comment refers to the algorhythm to support your videos. #8
Greetings from Zurich
Well done that man!👍 Who needs an Adventure bike.😂 I've been through a few quite deep floods lately but I was on a dirt bike with much higher air intake and well protected electrics. I don't think I would have tackled that on my Street Scrambler as the air intake looks pretty low down. The biggest danger with driving through a flood is you can't see whats on the road, maybe a rock, a brick or maybe a submerged branch etc which will have you off. Ask me how I know😡. I reckon the mud left on the road when the flood subsides will be more dangerous than the flood itself and will catch people out.
Mega entertaining and you‘ve made our sunday fun on the new Riumph Jet Ski!
Other than the chain, make sure you clean/dry and re-grease both your wheel-bearings to save disappointment later in the Bonnies life,
Big hugs from Germany
Bloody awesome!
Respect to you for using your triumph where some adventure bikers fear to tread! I was laughing at the begining and then when the water was splashing into your camera, my emotions turned to OMG!!!!! .......Wear your waxed jacket next time!! Well done Freddie!!
That was awesome powering through those flooded roads!😅👌you don’t have to go far to have an adventure 😎
Good fun
Another great video Freddie, love the channel, keep them coming 👍👍
The picture behind the door looked very likely to be Martin Finnegan. A great Irish road racer
Brilliant video. Don’t give up that Bonnie….
No worries about the exhaust being under water, it's the intake that you must keep dry!
We visit there regularly, as it’s in my town of Sudbury.
OMG Freddie... I've only watched 3mins.. What were you thinking 😂... Right back to the rest of the video .. Morning by the way 👍
I was too stubborn to turn back, Paul!
I hope you enjoy it🙂
Wrong bike and wrong boots for this ride :D Enjoying this video, thank you.
Nice video Freddie, riding through the floods is a joy on the bike...love it on my T7!. The motorbike shop was a joy..I could spend ages in there...although I would be gazing at the z900 thinking why did I sell mine back in the day...? !!. Great stuff, Cheers Steve
Bonkers indeed x
Freddie send episode to Itchy Boots and say” No need for me to take my bike around the world to have an adventure. I have it in my back yard 😅”
Message sent😆
Impressive that the Bonnie didn't stop running through that lot!
Great collection of bikes in that place, I'm in Cambridge at weekend, I may nip to have a gander, my older brother had a Bonneville same colour as that one in the showroom, I think it was called Grenadier red ? May have been about 1966 ,not sure and his had the twin leading shoe front brake ?
I think you'd be wise to invest in a pair of waders for your next trip? 😅
By the way it was a Suzuki SV1000 it says Suzuki clearly on the tank not Honda!😆 🤦
Great adventurous ride out anyway! 👍
Great episode Freddie....🏍🏍👍
What a fantastic ‘proper’ motorcycle shop 👍 Thanks for bringing it to your viewers attention as they deserve all the custom you can drum up for them…… Bet you wished you hadn’t attempted that ‘river’ crossing!! 🙄 lol
Freddie! Forgot ya Wellies!!! 😂
Spot on taste in Ducatis Freddie.
That 1000S and the Darmah are my picks.
Retro and sexy.
Beautiful classic bike shop. I think the Ferrari is a Mondial.
