Over the past months we have been hard at work designing a new dream tiny home for ourselves. In this video, we show the whole process of this build from the design, all the way through to the finished result. We couldn’t be happier with this home and we really hope that you enjoy watching the Rasa Mahal come to life!

would love to see a showcase and education of the detachable tiny house trailer. Is shipping container locks and jack lifts the only option or has that evolved any or can a person buy those plans. I'd like figure out the right trailer and length first before building please help

Tiny house living is the answer to our housing crisis. I would love to see a massive uptake in Tiny House communities in Australia.
I would love to see that too! I’m not sure that tiny homes are the only answer to our housing problems, but it’s certainly a part of the solution!
Prefabrication is a major key to solving the housing crisis.
And New Zealand 😊
Fair money and less regulation would be the real answer though.
It is sad that so many council areas don't see them as beautiful and viable options, especially with fire risk, so many people could take their homes with them and flee areas as needed and far less people would wind up homeless like after the 2019/2020 fires.
First of all, one word…BRILLIANT! The planning, the build, the execution…wow! The Rasa Mahal is sheer perfection. I don’t know if it was the beard or your amazing ability to bring your vision to life, but I am truly amazed! The name for the tiny house is perfect! Congratulations to you and Rasa! May you have many cozy and peaceful memories in your Australian home!!! ❤😊

As much as i want to watch every detail in this video, i just have to pause and comment upon hearing its name: Rasa Mahal. Mahal in Filipino means love. It's even a term of endearment. Alternatively, it could also mean expensive. But we don't say an expensive love but rather a priceless one. And this build is a testament to that.🤍

I’m getting started on my 2nd “tiny home”. My 1st tiny home was a 12x40 & I loved it; but life took me in a different direction, & I’m currently in a very typical 80’s style wood frame home. I’m fully intend on converting the regular house into my barn, garage & workshop after the new “tiny” is built. I keep putting tiny in quotes because it will not be on a trailer & even though it’ll be the same square footage as my 1st tiny, it’ll be twice as wide, half as long (20x24). Plus it will constructed below ground on 3 sides, & on a permanent concrete slab foundation with rebar reinforced concrete block walls, because I live in a very tornado prone area. I’ve only been here for 2 years & I’ve had 3 tornadoes touch down too close for comfort; thankfully leaving no home damage, but considerable yard debris. I really look forward to tiny home living again; not only because I loved it previously, but also because I don’t even use 3 rooms of my regular house for anything other than storage.

I love how you documented the whole process. But being in NZ I sat thinking I wish they were a NZ company as Im looking to get a tiny home but it is quite scary choosing the right company. I love how they have all the trades working together and how they have carpenters onsite to build cabinetry. Beautiful style and attention to detail ❤

What an absolutely awesome team of guys. Fantastic workmanship and love the timber features. Can't wait to see the total reveal Bryce & Raza.
This is an amazing build. The attention to detail is awesome. Right down to the LED light strips recessed into the hardwood rafters and matching the bolts to the color of the plumbing. This something I would like to do in my home. The symmetry balances the design. I love the "gold" sink in the kitchen. The herringbone flooring is another detail that makes this home unique to you and it reflects the symmetry you intended. This is a home you and Rasa will enjoy for a long time to come. Well done! There are several elements (the alabaster lighting, illuminated sink, the ambient lighting) I plan to incorporate in the 1945 house (which I am in process of getting).

Thank you so much for posting the whole build. It would have been agony for me to have waited a month or whatever to see this completed as I was really excited to see the finished product! Next week will be something to really look forward to now I have had some tantalising glimpses of the whole.
