    Perlin has created such an amazing home for himself here and this has to be one of the best off-the-grid set-ups we've seen so far. It's crazy to see all that happened to this house during the floods too! We hope you enjoy this tour. Thank-you for watching this episode and supporting our channel! With Love, Bryce & Rasa

    Perlin is my nephew. That bearded, salty sea serpent that pops his head up now a then is my cousin Chris Cullen, the closest that I have to a brother. I have watched this house grow from conception to now, via Facebook. I was so excited when it just popped up on my Facebook. Well done, Perlin. This is one of the most beautiful tiny houses you've featured! Just the right amount of timber was used so as not to make the house too dark. And apparently a biogas toilet is cool because even if the water hose is used to flush down the toilet, it can serve as a bidet some who prefer having a bidet and toilet paper available. I also love his kitchen. I do hope you can come back when the owner is done with the loft and let your viewers see how much height he has added to it because as I understand he would be able to stand in the loft once it's done.

      @@PerlinEarth SO sorry you had to go through all that. What an awful lesson - and a lot of work to repair and restore it all. I was picturing the event in my mind - you will never forget that moment waking up. But at least neither of you was injured with the roof blowing off. I love your idea of the roof lifting, though. I remember seeing one of Bryce's videos of a guy who had been a sailor, I think, who built a house with a roof that had a slope over the bed with an incredible window to look through while lying in bed. I think it was also built to tilt sort of on a hinge. It was fabulous! Thanks for sharing your home and yard and crazy story with all of us!

    To Perlin when he inevitably reads this, your setup is almost exactly what I'd do, I could step into that entire system and be right at home. I'd only do 2 things differently. 1. Light ceiling timber and dark floor. 2. Get out of bed and secure things that are vulnerable during the early stages of a storm. If I knew and remembered that roof was not bolted down, I'd have been out with straps securing it any way I could. Even if it meant a bit of superficial damage. Aside from that oversight and slight taste difference a near perfect match :-)

      @PerlinEarth 3 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for the comments. I did a light roof in the office and it does look good, I was hoping my roof would be more red, but it turned very dark. Not securing the roof was totally on me, a mistake which I won't repeat. 👍

    I’m a tiny house wanna be who looks forward to Fridays to see your next video. I won’t be able to have one because my husband is very sentimental and wants to stay in our 6,000 sq ft house where we raised our five children. It has come in handy to let them come back to live at home while getting master’s degrees or just to save money for a year after college, etc. But our youngest finishes college next year, and her older sister will be moving out in a year, as well.
    Then the house is just a big place full of memories, I guess. I like the idea of having an all new build- a tiny home custom fitted out for just the two of us! Sooo much less to keep up with! With this house, the kids will have a LOT to get rid of when our time comes! There’s an awful lot of furniture and STUFF in this big house! 😂
