To be fair, Nintendo didn't confirm anything other than we'll get an announcement around Spring of next year. The problem is youtubers, bloggers, so-called "leakers", etc kept hyping up every small hint they could find and now everyone is disappointed because Nintendo didn't meet whatever unrealistic standard they made up for them. It's best to just wait and enjoy whatever Nintendo has for us until then.
Nintendo just literally announce that it's backwards compatible. So we all know the console exists. Not to mention they are working on DLSS 3.0 with Nvidia.

It’s not gonna be perfect, telling ya that now lol. The hardwares likely been done for a while, now they just wanna finish whatever launch games there are and milk the switch for all it’s worth. But yeah. If it’s revealed in January, earliest it’ll be released is July because they usually do a 6 month hype cycle. If it’s revealed in march, September or later is when we should expect it
It's not going to be perfect. Every game will have parts of the game where it will lag.. and people will blame the hardware... but devs never perfect a game.
@@christianr.5868 A 6 month hype cycle is not a golden rule that must be followed... you know that right? The Switch is currently the most popular console in the world. It does not need to follow the typical release cycle to be a success. They could do their first announcement later this week for all we know, then do a proper full on presentation in January and release the console in March if they wanted to and the Switch 2 would still be massive success.
June 2025 is the end of the first half of the year. Thats is 8 months away. Almost a year from now. There is no reason for Nintendo to announce the Next Gen Console when they are trying to have as many sales as they can for this Christmas with the current Switch. January to February is the perfect time to announce the next gen console, because thats tax season. So people can start saving up for the next console.
That's what I'm saying. They could've just mentioned the Switch 2's existence for the first time at the investors meeting this week if they weren't gonna do anything this year to begin with 😭
Imo it's because this has been the longest stretch of time since the last console. So, they made a tweet to give us *something*, that they were starting to work on the next console. Plus it wasn't made too early, they gave us an end of March 2025 deadline and it looks like they're sticking to it
I think it’s cause of the direct they announced side by side. To avoid people asking if it would be announced they denied that but gave people something to chew on. Unfortunately like a chew toy we’ve kinda torn into it and now we are waiting for the next.
It ain’t over until it’s over! I wouldn’t put it past the new Nintendo president to drop the Switch 2 reveal on thanksgiving day or New Year’s Eve, I don’t care about all the excuses “that’s just not typical,” “they wouldn’t overshadow holidays, the election or their own games,” blah blah blah. This whole year has been “not typical.” Nintendo knows the moment they reveal the Switch 2 that it’s gonna be the hardest hitting news to the entire gaming industry for months on end, they single-handedly have everyone in a chokehold baiting their breath for the moment this new console is shown.
Either way I don’t even think it will be a late 2025 release because furakawa said he would reveal things about the next gen system in phases, meaning it will probably take up a large portion of 2025. It’s mostly likely an early 2026 release and I say this as someone who genuinely hates a 2026 release date because the system should have released a long time ago.
Nobody would buy a switch this holiday if they would announce its succesor😅 out of a business perspective that makes literally no sense, anticipation based on vibes and emotions will set one up for disappointment 😂
I’ve heard Japan went through their own election last month as well in October. I knew that the next console of Nintendo was not going to be shown this year. Nintendo has switch bundles for November and December. Plus next week is packed with the us election, their investors meeting, and Mario and Luigi brothership, so I doubt their next console will be shown then. I have been on team 2025 for years now and didn’t think it was going to be revealed this year. People thought the next Nintendo console was going to be reveal in September and it didn’t happen, in October and it didn’t happen, and neither will November or December. We are one month left for this year for 2024 anyway. We know four or so games for Nintendo in 2025. Two new games like legends z-a and Metroid Prime 4 beyond and two ports of older games, one being another Wii U port and other being a port of an old donkey Kong game. It’s time for team 2024 to just pack up and get off the copium because that reveal of the next system for Nintendo isn’t happening this year. People are like clowns for team 2024, people actually believing that Nintendo is ever going to reveal the next system in November of this month and December when they have switch bundles to sell in these two last months of 2024.

The folly of the industry peddling rumor and leak narratives that said content creators and community run with like rabbits in heat! This is nothing a do with Nintendo
I'm sure they do regret it, because making any talks about the next system greatly kills the sales momentum of your current system, no matter how old it is.
Nintendo didn't do jack to build up hype. All they said is we'd get an announcement, which could just be a small bit of text. Obsessive youtubers like Mike and Nintend0land were the ones overhyping everything
What sad news? If Nintendo explicitly said before the end of their fiscal year, that means before March 31, 2025. If they had intended for anything to be revealed this year, they would have said before the end of 2024... 🧠
The moment they said to be announced this fiscal year I accepted the possibility it could be announced as late as march 2025. That’s not a bad thing because knowing we’ll see the switch 2 in a couple months is still exciting.
The Nintendo theme park in Orlando is opening in May 2025, so no they will not release a console that would eat up potential ticket sales of this grand opening.
Why is everyone always so impatient for new consoles? If you lived through the Xbox 360 RRoD era, you’d WANT Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft taking as long as necessary to release their consoles in the best possible condition. If there’s a delay with the Switch 2 it’s because something about its quality wasn’t up to Nintendo’s standards - and they have very strict quality standards. We know the Switch 2 exists, it’s simply a matter of when it will release, not if they scrapped the project. My only concern is that it still fully supports original Switch games while introducing new features that make it feel like an adequate step up.
In the meantime we get couple of awesome first party games (Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Metroid Prime 4, Pokemon Z-A, Mario & Luigi's Brothership)
I really don’t mind waiting tbh. It’s not like we’re going through a drought of Nintendo games or anything like near the end of the Wii era. They’re still giving us a lot of stuff to play. And waiting means that when it finally releases, the game line up will be way better. It doesn’t feel like a ‘sad reality’ to me, it just feels like reality. Waiting longer will be better in the long run, and during this wait, they’re giving us loads of content.
The Switch is already pretty close to being the best selling console of all time, people are still playing Switch games almost as if they were at launch, Nintendo probably wants to polish their launch lineup for the successor console so that they have enough time to wait until Switch 1 hype has died down a bit to announce it...
I think a similar release situation as the switch 1 is still possible. A big live presentation in January with a release end of March. The question is: does it really need a short trailer in advance like the switch 1 had? I believe nintendo can announce during the first half of January that the next console is coming and that there will be a big presentation only a few weeks later.
There system is outdated tech, they have been in need of stronger hardware ever since 2021 but what we instead got was the oled… we are in 2024 and I seriously doubt the system would release in 2025, if the system is to be revealed in phases then a huge portion of 2025 will be taken up promoting the system in phases and then we might see it in early 2026 (which I think it’s absolutely dumb to wait this long for a system that should have been out a long time ago) I can’t imagine there investors and third party companies/partners being too happy about how long it’s been taking them to just to release the system.

Bought my switch oled last week, there is so many good games to play, no need for an update yet, hardware isn't important if there is tons of good games.
@@ulgn1964 I agree with you there, plus most people who buy a nintendo system already know the hardware is almost always behind the playstation & xbox in terms of age, so the nintendo switch hardware of course is really old.
My main problem with this situation is that now almost everyone seems to be leaning towards the idea that we won't see it till March. It's hard not being disappointed having to wait till next year for the reveal when everyone keeps suggesting the more pessimistic timeline. Seriously, would it hurt you guys to try to be a little more optimistic about next year? January and February are still a thing guys. I get why people might be a little iffy about January with DKCR and the Inauguration, but February is perfectly viable. In fact, I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict that the window of Jan. 26 - Feb 8 is when we'll see it. All the holiday and election stuff here in the US will over by that point nor should anything similar be happening in Japan (as far as I'm aware) as well as no new Nintendo games releasing in that month (as of the time I'm typing this), thus leaving a pretty good window for a reveal where Nintendo can have all the attention to themselves (and if they do announce a game that month, let's hope it's later in the month so that window can still be viable). I also want to point out that Switch 1 only had a reveal to release window of 4.5 months, so if it worked for Switch 1 (since you know, it's the third highest selling console of all time), i think it can work just about as fine for Switch 2. And if they reveal it early enough in the year (aka the window I'm predicting), it could still make a summer release possible.
Back in early October, someone was arguing with me saying that I am crazy to think that the new Nintendo system announcement is going to be in March 2025. He told me it would be announced in late October. I told him that it's not crazy to think it will be announced at the time the head of Nintendo said it was going to be. But it is crazy to think it will be announced much more soon, as in this year, than was said it was. March 2025. So far, seems to be holding true. Don't know why people think it is going to be talked about, this year, when we still got about five months left to go. O.o I have hear of wishful thinking before. But give me a break. >.>
Nintendo will announce in Sept 2025 for an October release to capitalize on the EOY. The threats to Switch 2 are potential tariffs making import costs rise as well as the trend of moving gaming away from console gaming to cloud based experiences which will be accelerated due to the potential hardware cost increases due to import tariffs.
I expect an announcement around end of january next year and a release around march next year. You dont need to announce something 5 months ahead, especially because they dont want to kill their switch sales in christmas this year.
While the chance of a 2024 reveal shrinks with each passing day, I'd like to point out that Nintendo has never actually cared about the final holiday seasons of their current consoles being impacted by new console reveals, and as a matter of fact, if you check, the only factor that truly reduces console sales is when games stop being released for them.
Launch day is May 22, 2025. It will be available both for sale and for door prizes as part of the grand opening of Super Nintendo Land in Orlando. This is the most logical release date.
No it is not, this is your head canon! Nintendo doesn't release consoles to coincide with other major Nintendo events like the opening of a theme park! The fact we have this news stands to reason they wouldn't release something major to eat up ticket sales at their grand opening of this amusement park! This means realistically you should expect the console no sooner than November 2025
@DANCERcow Nintendo isn't following their classic patteren. Making the Switch 2 release exclusive to their theme parks on launch day would INSENTIVISE visitors to attend. Also, you clearly didn't read my final sentence, which made it clear that I was speculating. Knock it off with the venomous tone. It's just fun speculating. Smh
Releasing a new model hasn’t stopped them before. For the DS line of handhelds they were releasing a new model every other year or so. In only about 12 years they had released at least half a dozen different models of DS - the original, DSi, XL, 3DS, 3DS XL, the 2DS, and that’s not counting the dozens of special editions of them.

Hear me out. Don’t bother looking at these so called “leakers.” A bunch of clout chasers who make weird predictions just so they can get a few likes on their status. The Nintendo Switch is going down the slope yes. But isn’t it more exciting for just Nintendo to announce their things out of the blue? Be patients it’s a virtue. Shuntaro Furukawa said that they will announce their next console on this FISCAL YEAR! Which ends on March 31st or April 1st. And it’s only 4 or 5 months away. All in all. Keep enjoying playing the Switch.
it make sense to reveal it next year if you think about it, not only it is still within this fiasco year it will also line up with the Osaka World Expo 2025. Nintendo is attending this expo which starts in April 2025, they could show the actual Switch 2 machine at the expo and have the reveal trailer dropped in March 2025. The timing just lines up if you considers the expo, just some ideas for thoughts.
I dont mind waiting for release. I am happy to know they will take their time because they probably want to make sure everything is spot on with functionality at release too which i can support and appriciate :) I have been the proud owner of the first switch and the oled version and i have definitely enjoyed both ❤
LOL @6:20 that girl (Krysta?) looks so amazingly bored or angry or something. She don't seem like she want to be there :) You look so happy and in contrast she look just miserable somehow.
15 years from now there could be videos about how Nintendo dropped the ball by releasing a system that was under-powered in 2021 when it was designed in Christmas of 2025.
They know it's going to tank compared to the switch. They waited too long. The handheld market caught up and then overtook them. For the same price you can get a 1st gen steam deck that can play more games. They also can't go back to home consoles because Microsoft and Sony have that market and Nintendo has been targeting casual gamers for the past 15 years. The only thing they could do to 'win' is to go against what the rest of the market is doing.... like they did with the Wii, Wii U and Switch. Their products in the past made their competitors replicate them. Making a stronger switch won't be enough.
I'm fine with waiting until late 2025 for Switch 2. We still have plenty of big games on the way for Switch 1 like Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond AND Pokemon Legends: Z-A so we don't need the Switch 2 right now.
The sad reality is that everyone needs to accept that the Nintendo Switch 2 is never coming... ...that way Nintendo will announce it's special presentation that next day for us all to anticipate!
@ActualAero that's pretty much what I was saying, I am now on early next year with a fast release in march... I could be wrong.... the reveal probably in January and the release in march?
Yeah America is screwed if a Certain person becomes President. I'm more worried about that then news about the switch 2. I'm finding a place out of America border if that person becomes President😢.

I have hear of wishful thinking before. But give me a break. >.>
Just chill, yall. It will come out at max 2nd half of next year, it seems.
Wasn't Switch unveiled in October 2016 when there was a presidential election?
They should’ve make a new Kid Icarus Uprising game a long time ago. Seriously! Where is the sequel to Sakurai’s masterpiece?
Nintendo will announce in Sept 2025 for an October release to capitalize on the EOY. The threats to Switch 2 are potential tariffs making import costs rise as well as the trend of moving gaming away from console gaming to cloud based experiences which will be accelerated due to the potential hardware cost increases due to import tariffs.
I still have the original Nintendo switch
If it is going to be video game console than being like computer, I am willing to accept that. Only computers can be the computers.
I expect an announcement around end of january next year and a release around march next year.
You dont need to announce something 5 months ahead, especially because they dont want to kill their switch sales in christmas this year.
Yeah knowing nintendo, the announcement and actual release are not that far apart.
@@DANCERcow That's just your OWN opinion. No one is truly sure when it will release.
Smh
link running around in 4k 60fps is worth the wait
I could see a summer release for the Switch 2 especially if Metroid Prime 4 is a cross gen title like Zelda Breath of The Wild.
2025 would be a better year anyway seeing a switch 2 now what canalize sells for the og switch.
I think we hit Switch market saturation YEARS ago, I don’t know why anyone would be worrying about eating into Switch sales at this point.
Canalize lol

If it looks too similar to the og switch, I’m not buying it.
What do u y’all recommend by oled during Black Friday or holidays? Or wait for the new switch 2
I dont mind waiting for release. I am happy to know they will take their time because they probably want to make sure everything is spot on with functionality at release too which i can support and appriciate :) I have been the proud owner of the first switch and the oled version and i have definitely enjoyed both ❤
Announced In October --- Released in March(Switch)
Announced in November ---
Released in April (Switch 2)
Dunno bout that lol
Switch 2 will definitely be revealed some time between now and the year 2100! Get excited!
It’ll be revealed between now and the next four months there’s no way around it
Well yes that's what they said
"We're getting GTA 6 before Switch 2" meme at this point.
reveal in March, release in September.
i see nothing wrong/sad.
Those mock-ups at 2:04 look pretty good, whoever made them
LOL @6:20 that girl (Krysta?) looks so amazingly bored or angry or something. She don't seem like she want to be there :)
You look so happy and in contrast she look just miserable somehow.
Here's hoping the Switch 2 can keep me distracted as the world burns throughout the next four years
gta 6 on nintendo switch 2 😱real 100% coming soon no cap frfr
aero on Tuesday: SWITCH 2 REVEAL NEXT WEEK?
15 years from now there could be videos about how Nintendo dropped the ball by releasing a system that was under-powered in 2021 when it was designed in Christmas of 2025.
😭
They know it's going to tank compared to the switch. They waited too long. The handheld market caught up and then overtook them. For the same price you can get a 1st gen steam deck that can play more games. They also can't go back to home consoles because Microsoft and Sony have that market and Nintendo has been targeting casual gamers for the past 15 years. The only thing they could do to 'win' is to go against what the rest of the market is doing.... like they did with the Wii, Wii U and Switch. Their products in the past made their competitors replicate them. Making a stronger switch won't be enough.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall at that investor's meeting.
Or a fly on the wall at Nintendo HQ lol
Darth Vader Wants to Fight Against Bowser
the reason legends ZA takes so much to release is probably because it will be out at launch with switch 2
Yeah there are still games at least
2016 was an election year, yet they still showed off the Switch in mid October.
The wiiu was dead they needed to do emergency tactics
This video was wild. Speculation based on hardly nothing. Keep up the good work either way:)
Well this wasn't a news video but alright lol
My bet is that the TGA handed a whole bunch of money to Nintendo make the reveal at the show
I think it’s really unlikely but we’ll see
I hope it can run GTA 6 on 120fps without heating and lagging issues 😂
More time to finish my ocean of backlog i guess 🤷♂️
Same for me as well
The sad reality is that everyone needs to accept that the Nintendo Switch 2 is never coming...
...that way Nintendo will announce it's special presentation that next day for us all to anticipate!
As long as it doesnt be another Wii U i dont mind waiting
The truth is that Nintendo wants to cook more
Nah they're letting it simmer... 😂
Gonna be burnt with this wait 💀
I knew the switch successor would be 2026 bare minimum, the writing is all over the wall in easy to read font when you aren't huffing copium/hopium.
Shut up
All im praying for is Z-A will be on the switch 1. Cause im not buying the 2 anytime soon, unfortunately.
Nintendo are holding off deliberately to sell more switches this Christmas to try to beat PS2 sales numbers, thats the reality of it
I want the switch successor to come out in late 2025, I've got so many games to play & not enough time to play them.
5he upcoming investors meeting is my last hope....
I don't feel like we'll get anything exciting but I'd love to be wrong
@ActualAero that's pretty much what I was saying, I am now on early next year with a fast release in march... I could be wrong.... the reveal probably in January and the release in march?
They dont need too
I really hope we see a reveal in January
I hope so but my bet is February now
Switch 2 has proven to be a slow burner. A bit like the N64 all those many moons ago
Yeah America is screwed if a Certain person becomes President.
I'm more worried about that then news about the switch 2.
I'm finding a place out of America border if that person becomes President😢.
HA, imagine still believing that the "president" is actually running the show in 2024.
My bet is they tried to "gaslight" the market
Just call it the switch U 😂
So will this one be upgraded to have the power of a Dreamcast or will they give us a little ps3 power
I haven’t lost hope for this year yet
Me neither
Well you should. Are you expecting an announcement to happen at the game awards this December? How sad 🙄 Nintendo has never made an announcement of a Nintendo console at the game awards. You people should learn to keep your expectations low.
@ I’m not expecting it to be at the game awards think it will be a different day I am still keeping my expectations low even tho I still have hope and I’m keeping my hope till the end of the year I’m also someone that would be ok even if it doesn’t happen
@@user-John1damn, it much be so hard being that pathetic and pessimistic.
the investors meeting this tuesday is team 2024’s absolute last chance for anything regarding switch 2 news this year, so we can only hope… 🙏
They are just trying to drain out original switch units.
When is the next Nintendo direct
Think they need to make the Nintendo switch to word scratch proof on the screen
Oh, that means it'll be another year at least. Imma go get me a ps5.
I’m starting to believe that switch 2 has been canceled 😭😭
Not cancelled, just Nintendo is not in any hurry to release it. If you're growing desperate, blame the rumor mongers.
it feels more like it was just you tube gossip and hype does not excist at all
Maybe we just dreamt the Switch 2
Guys should I get the nintendo switch oled mario for now
Yes, Switch is worth it, though I'd wait for Black Friday sales as I think their will be bundles along with alight price drop.
its not that they CANT announce it in november or december but its just not likely so i am not switching to team 2025 just yet
It might revealed after January 6th 2025
1:52 oh my god streetpass
Lets be real here. Whatever the next system is called, we aren't getting an announcement February 2025 and that's at the earliest. Being even more realistic, we're looking at August 2025 announcement, which would release around the 19th of October 2025. Anything else on the subject it is just clicks for views. Just like this guy has said "It's bellow the water". There I said it.
Nintendo has officially said the announcement is coming before March 31, 2025 so that's not true
the console is gonna be revealed before april, that's official
Ts gettin announced
the day after Christmas
I think Switch 2 was ready for release in Dec 2023 but something went wrong and they decided to redesign something
JULY 2025?! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! 😆
If we got no news before new years we’re cooked
America is cooked if a certain Person becomes President 😢.
@@JetbladewarriorI agree with you , I pray for Kamala not became president. Trump back baby 💪🏻😁
@@quelquun1849 Trump is the one who I don't want as the President.
I don't think we will 💀
According to new inFo that we wiLL See a Nintendo direct in Last month december oF this FiscaL year or we wiLL then See a direct in January.
