I just put one on my 13 fxdb stage 3. Holy hell this bike has never ran this good. Not a single decel pop (my bike did it constantly with the dealership tune) It now has a buttery smooth and much faster throttle response, it's like having a brand new bike. 10/10.
Had 2 FP’s over the years, currently running FP3 on M8 107, works amazing! Installed myself when did stage 1 full headers & breather, ran great. It’s adaptable, my HD dealer contacted V&H & got a custom map when they installed stage II cam, huge difference! I’ve since Autotuned, I would recommend taking your time auto tuning & fill all cells. I only did 30 minutes worth & it could use more

I just flashed one of their already Dyno maps....WOW. Got rid of a LOT of decel pop and better power and response. Forget all the Autotune stuff and just load one of their already proven maps from V&H. Great tech support.

Good morning, I got the fuelpak 3 for my Fatboy 2008, but I saw that the connector is 6-pin and my Fatboy the connector is 4-pin, my question is if with a 6-pin to 4-pin converter, would the Fuelpak 3 work in my fatboy, thank you
Yes, that can be accomplished a few ways. By using one of the V&H maps referenced in the video (most common) or using FP3 Pro and running the auto tune feature.
I do have one question. Harley-Davidson offers "parade mode" (EITM) on many of their bikes. I have a 2015 Ultra with an FP3 set up on it. Is it possible to still use the EITM/Parade Mode? When I tried to engage it the bike ran really rough?
@@jpcycles not sure I completely agree. It tucks away quite nice and allows my phone to make adjustments on the fly, wide band tune, and have digital readout instead. Having Vance & Hines send the latest and greatest tweaks works when I start my bike works. RACING MODE for 2014 FXDWG!
Interested to know how the FP3 takes into account for a cam shaft swap. I have heard from a number of people it just doesn't do very well with bigger bolt in cams.
I wish you guys could do this vs a screaming eagle with that autotune . I only ask because I love the performance and options you can get from V&H and other companies. But it slightly worries me with HDs warranties, so I wonder is the screaming eagle product worth the cash or just commit to all out aftermarket?
J K this is a valid question. It all really depends on rider to rider. If your bike is still under warranty then I personally don’t recommend this route. Now if you don’t care about warranty and you want the best bang for your buck, the FP3 is a solid choice. The screaming eagle tuner is ok, definitely not worth the hefty price tag.
I have 07 twin cam, 2:1 exhaust, intake, FP3, ran great until I got Cams installed. Now it runs like crap n I don't even feel safe riding it. Nightmare
Will Harley “detect” that you “Ever” had an FP3 on your Bike when you change it back to the stock Map when bringing your bike in for its 1000 or 5000 service ,??, cause once H-D finds a tuner other than theirs on an M8 your warranty is Dog shit ‼️
If you want to keep the factory H-D warranty, do not install anything but the Screamin Eagle tune. Because as soon as the dealer connects the bike to their computer, H-D will know it has a different tune in it. Reinstalling the stock Harley tune doesn't fool Harley.
It doesn’t void your warranty completely. Just the power train (which is the most expensive part) but Harley would still cover other components like electrical. That’s the risk you run when using after market tuners
No, not if you reflash to the factory tune & remove the physical FP3. I’ve used several tuners including the FP3, even had my H-D dealer install stage II on M8 & they suggested FP3 so we could flash back to stock if there was an issue. The stock flash will make it run terrible though, but the bike ECU is fundamentally a dumb device that can be manipulated & set back to stock
I watch all these videos, buy an FP3 and V&H tells me not to run it with Auto Tune. The main reason I bought it. Bike runs like crap and they say ride it for 2 tanks of gas (roughly 400 miles) each time they make a change.
Funny how the tuners use a bluetooth connection to create a bridge between BT and Internet . V&H uses your phones internet connection to gather your data. Once you pair the fp3 to your bike the tuner can no longer tune another bike. I am assuming the tuner uses a basic bluetooth classic encryption. With the proper tool(Ellisys Vanguard) I am able to capture the link key which is encrypted from master to slave. Reset the tuner and use it on another bike to tune it.
