The all new Alta X⠀- The worlds toughest drone
⠀
There are no shortcuts to success in the drone industry. Innovation takes iteration, and the team at Freefly strives achieve the highest innovation per person in the industry.⠀
⠀
ALTA X can carry up to a 35lb payload while maintaining a 2:1 thrust to weight ratio and folds to half its normal size with the push of a finger.

We heard you like gimbals, so we put gimbals on your props to fly your gimbals. Awesome work!
LOL
E H Films why?
I'm so disappointed by all of these uninformed comments. What's all this DJI comparison nonsense?!? Read the specs! Each motor of the Alta-X is capable of 6 Kilowatt bursts. The Inspire 2 can carry about 2 lbs tops (not even a standard, consumer grade camera). Don't compare your fishing boat to an aircraft carrier. Just stop it.
Ted Hancock a lot of drone enthusiasts know nothing about drones.
@@CaliforniaPhantom The Mavic 2 Pro is the best stealth drone I know of and for taking photos that isn't such a loss if it sinks to the bottom of the ocean. I would only use this drone over land, unless insured.
@@robertserbagi8561 can you understand that two things are light years away? Comparing a Mavic to a drone like the Alta X that can carry movie cameras is truly madness. If you are not competent in the matter, it is not necessary to comment!
I wouldn’t go that far, the Zenmuse X7 is a 6k camera after all. Have you seen footage of it? Perhaps 1% of the population would be able to tell the difference between it and some $100k ARRI camera attached to the Alta-X. And for that you’d probably also need a 6 or 8k screen. This one’s obviously better but I’m not sure if 5x the price better... the Inspire 3 is not that far away so we’ll see which one’s more suitable giving the varying needs of different users.
Well I'll never afford/have any use for one of these...but AMAZING to look at the design advancements!
uh. I like the part where they show why its the toughest.
Came from RCTestFlight
(awesome video and machine btw)
Me too =)
Yes, followed RCTestFlight adventures too ... from tooperware to moon I guess
As did I. :-)
Finally some prop innovation, an absolutely beautiful piece of equipment.
i bet you havent seen the pricetag yet
@@balto2455 You pay for quality.
Price: $15995
No need to thank me
Compared to renting a helicopter and pilot it can make sense for the right business
@@1compaqedr8 less collateral and personal injury threat too. realistically, 2 jobs could pay for it and still pay the crew well.
@@olegravylegfpv still you can enjoy the fly
THANK YOU. you cant stop me
I have been directed to this company’s video from another channel that was trying out this drone. I really don’t understand how I have missed the ALTA X until now. It has been out for almost 3 years and it feels like it should be getting a lot more attention. Drones like these should be seen on a lot more channels. Let alone being trialed more for experimental work, in spite of its high price range. This kind of drone would be great for deliveries, but could also really help in areas of news reporting in urban war areas or even helping in Ukraine right now. Drones like these could be good for dropping munitions on the Russian soldiers and their conscripts. Bloody great work here with this design.
Available now with 16 easy payments of $1000.
"Shut up and take my kidney"
Basically, take out a mortgage.
Rippin' Lips actually a good price.
35lbs of payload? Time to buy myself 35 pounds of battery!
You titled it "toughest drone" but didn't go into how tough it was in the video, nor did you show it crashing any
active blade system...wow you guys just changed the game. who would of thought that adding helicopter technology to a drone would of created such an amazing craft.
Always excited to see a new non dji drone product. Not hatin on dji cuz they do make some great drones and cams but would alwys like variety
No a single thing in this video describes how tough it is except the weights on it? Click bait unfortunetly!
They were too busy trying to be poetic.
It's tough. I know what they mean when they say tough. You newbies have no idea. You get your drones at best buy outlet and crash them on the first flight. Shit pilots need not apply.
What a wonderful presentation. Best I’ve ever seen for a new drone release. Congrats guys.
42 seconds into this video, I decided I wanted one. Clicked the link and saw the price.
I'll show myself out.
Warning!! This video is started to appear in everyone's recommendation
The things I could do with a 20 lb payload,....LOL
lmao
Drop my son off at daycare...
@@nufmedia9035 *hold my Beer*
First time I am paying attention to a non-DJI product and I am actually impressed. I want one of these!!!!
Vars Until you see the price lol
@@stc2828 hahahaha see as you come catch me here.
price go slaughter pesin
So how exactly is this the World's toughest drone??
Just two words, "absolute innovation".
Awesome commercial, looks like a beast!! Best of luck guys!
looks like a beast from sci-fi movie.......but much needed innovation!!
Variable Pich Blades In a Drone ? 😳
Totally killed it !
my mind is just completely blown by this
You guys never fail to excite us when launching a new product video. Extremely captivating, as always. Would love to fly in for an inspiring session with you guys one day.
Thank you! come visit during our launch party!
@@freeflysystems Shit, who do I contact to set this up?
A movie I was watching being filmed was using this drone
A beautiful design...well done!
the best part is
they are filming ALTA-X using a ALTA-X
Impressive solution. Well done!
Awesome stuff mate, Just subscribed
Awesome work guys !!
if i buy 2 of these without camera & gimbal, can it carry myself?
the tracking is saying we get ours next thursday!!! sooooooo stoked!!!!
haha, thing is wild lookin
wooooow! i really love this thing. Hope I can build my own soon like this
I want to test fly this badboy!🙌🏻🙌🏻
Great video guys!
Soo pretty! You made a legitimate freestyle film rigg. Well done!
Thank you!
Absolutely Incredible! Well done Freefly.....well done.
Thanks!
Beautiful design!
Great job!
This seems like a good drone for large movie productions
Anyone knows the background music to the video?
Would love to fly this!!
Well done guys!
I like your team! awsome work!
Uses an Alta x to film an Alta x that’s how u know it’s useful
The question is... what drone did they use to film this one? 🤔
Sean Dominique I’m the clue 🤫
There's a Behind The Scenes link in the end of the video. They simply used two Alta X's, one filming the other.
Drone looks great, but tell us more about your TIME MACHINE! :D
Holy molly, that thing is a beast!
Eatch out dji , its a new drone in town. GG boys.
Insane 🤯
Cool video! 👌
Sweet! Now to check the price.... Ok... Yeah, I thought so.... I need to get more filmmaking gigs if I want to get the Alta X lol 😂😂
Can you mount the DJI XT2 and Z30 on it if not can you modify it to work through hacking if not are there better products or eq. to the XT2 and Z30 to use on the Alta X?
You had me a 3 million test cycles. I got to have one ☝🏽 or two.
Nice! What's the drone's Name again?
Awesome!
DJI M serie are out on market for a long time already.
Awesome Drone
But will it blend?
WOW! This looks like a superb well engineered platform and would love to go hands on.
I still have my 5 year old Octocopter that I built myself and have been looking for a replacement for the last 3 years. I’m not a professional so the Alta X is out of my reach but do you have any plans for launching a device in the prosumer market?
Finally we can transport babies!! Yeahh..
Game changer
which country is it from? and how much is it?
It's beautiful

Great idea now the blade would self balance, but how does it afeect thrust angle
It looks like it acts more like suspension on a car. The tiny thrust angle changes would have minimal effects as apposed to the shocks of flying though rough air.
one day i will buy one i have few dpi drones but this is a real drone no joke
Is there a version with redundant motors? I imagine there are many parts of the world that won't certify this to fly in built up areas.
Right!! I'm thinking to the sale thing. Flying thousands of dollars of equipment on a drone without redundant motors ..of you loose Just One motor, you loose anything..
Awesome 😍😍✌🏻
1:40 you can see the blade flapping working here
Saudi Oil Refinery Says Hi😂
Wow! really incredible machine and footage. Tremendous flying as well. Amazing job guys. Pls. contact me if you need an extra hand in NY. I also came from RCTestFlight
Amazing ❤️
What a beast
Wowzers! Show me where to sign! !!! 👍🙋🎖🕭✔✔✔✔
Very nice guessing the price will be very high 😅but still would love to ad this to my collection, as for the props I get the feeling they looked at flybarless rc helicopters for inspiration but still this is the only quad I’ve seen adapt that into the prop holder, gyro rotor what ever it wants to be called
Wooo this is crazy
cool and greatfull !!!!
so nice video
it's huge
Awesome 😎
parabens muito bom gostei
Looks expensive as f***
You’d better phuqin believe it
~16K USD!
I am in love.
THIS is thé drone, no doubt
Nice copter, but it seem like you guys are slowing moving back to helicams, larger rotors, more efficiency. One large rotor will be way more efficient, auto-rotations, etc. Since it's build for pro fliers anyway, the next one should just be a single rotor ;)
How can I buy this, in India !!
Starting at $15,995 or $250/month
It's probably going to be the very least expensive part of the whole setup in 99% of cases. The cameras it is intended to fly are much more expensive.
How is the picture stability when the drone is flying? And how much does it cost to buy this drone?
$16K
amazing
What about automatic flight features? I like how Djibouti can track, circle an object etc... Gives a very smooth video compared to trying to manually fly. Does it got those flight features?
Pretty sure this is supposed to be for Professional videography.. I’d chance to say most don’t use built in modes to film. They usually have pilots and then camera operators handling the filming itself.
a pilot and cam op need to practice more if they need an orbit or active tracking mode
@@olegravylegfpv Yep. I won't fly on any commercial aircraft that needs an auto-pilot! :-D
I was expecting this drone to fly up to 40 mins but no 20 mins is what they call “ Fly Longer”
20 mins is still 2 times longer than 10 minutes )
It flys 42 mins with a 5lb payload. 22mins with a 20lb payload and close to 11 mins carrying 35lbs (with no payload it will fly over 50mins)
Freefly Systems now that’s a game changer, love to see how this thing flys
@@chrisonaguilar 50 minutes with no pl is definitely not a game changer. Game-changing only starts from 1.5h with no pl. This company build nice machines, but they are not a breakthrough.
Obviously you need to watch the video again, but watch it properly.
I'll take 2...
Imagine flying a camera drone to record another flying camera drone
Why would you imagine when this video is already a example?
Narender Kashyap I think that was the joke
@@fearlesshindu801 Go back to sleep
@@AH17293 what's your problem?
Nice 👍
More than a few manned helis have rigid rotor systems, seems like good prop design could have the same effect with smaller parts count? Semi- rigid teetering is pretty old tech. Glad to see some research and inovation either way. Don't mind the trolls.
Can somebody tell me how much the price of full set Alta X?
It costs 16 000 - 25 000 USD, depending what features you want.
