Hi Emma so I wanted to suggest a murder well actually it was a double murder and sexual abuse of 2 young girls that lived and went to school in my local area when I was only about 11 to at most my early teens and from what I can remember they were in the same year or year above me at primary school. The area was called Hollingbury in Brighton, East Sussex. The thing is I can't for the life of me remember what the girls names were or much of the details of the crime all I can remember is they were molested and murdered by some monster who was i think in his mid to late 40s . They were just walking home from school as they did on every day together after school though a huge park that was known locally as being called " The Giants Foot " idk if that's the official name of the park but that's what I knew it as , it was called that because from the air if you were directly looking at it from above it looks like a giants huge footprint . These poor little girls murder and rape has stayed with me my whole life from the day there body's were found half undressed all alone in that park . My family and the whole community were deviated by there deaths .idk if there is even enough information for you to even begin to look into this crime but I just wanted to tell you about it . I can't help thinking about those poor girls..... They would have been around the same age as me now I'm 42 they didn't get a chance to know the joy of being a mum or traveling etc that monster stole that from them and my heart still brake's for the girls family's .

Sadly a majority of the police here in America is a total joke. Its like they can't be bothered to do the job for which they're paid for. This story reminds me of a sermon I have been preaching for decades and that is to NEVER allow anyone to follow you home. Probably 40 years ago a woman here in Nashville had some sort of road rage altercation with a man and I think maybe she flipped him off. For her the incident was over and she drove straight home. For him the incident was NOT over, and he followed her home and when she pulled into her driveway, he pulled in behind her and he shot her. She was not killed but I think she was permanently partially disabled. Since that time, even if I have had no interaction with someone that might cause them to have animosity toward me, I have been very conscious of who is behind me and when I am getting close to home if I make a turn or two and the person behind me makes those same turns, I DO NOT GO HOME. I keep driving until that person is no longer behind me and only then do I go home! So, here is my sermon. Check out the cars behind you and DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO FOLLOW YOU HOME! (End of sermon!)

    • @WakeyWakeyEggsandBakey

Thank you for the sermon sister Maryann. It's one that applies to us all, but sadly one that many will not feel applies to them... like many, they feel that it "won't happen to me".

His second wife and William Jr are amazing and I think have given him a reason to keep living. And brought joy to his life. He really struggled through the trial. Now he's a member of the Connecticut Legislature and has dozens of fundraisers and memorials for his family. He teaches his son about his sisters and there's a beautiful memorial (Mikaylas Garden) where his house once stood. I may be repeating things Emma covered as I had to stop watching towards the end.

(& i’ve looked up a lot of em since it was so close to home.) the fact that Michaela was called “KK” hit me really hard.. that was also my nickname when i was her age. the police fxcked this whole thing up so, so badly. i hope those “men” rot in prison.

I was raped, tortured, & under mind control. My own uncle did this to me! It started when I was 5 years old & ended 11 years old. He would let his friend, neighbor, & strangers use my little body. I would be tortured for hours.. if I was “bad” or tried to tell someone what was going on it would just get worse… He split my mind & installed Alters. I was so numb in the end, I didn’t want to be alive anymore. I went through a lot of horrific things. My uncle was in the Army & had friends that were higher ups. When I finally told my best friend what was going on she helped me. My uncle didn’t even get a smack on the wrist!
It has taken me years of therapy, soul searching, & facing my trauma. I forgave all the monsters because I was tired of having so much hate & sorrow in my heart. I finally love who I am & love my life. Im a strong, caring, humble, & loving woman. I will never let anyone break me again.

Our world is inhabited by some of the most despicable people & these two are among the very worst. Though you did not labour the incompetency of the police in this situation, I certainly hope that their heads hung in shame & sorrow at the opportunity missed to save this beautiful family.

man if i hadnt been told i was adopted my entire life until i was an adult it would have completey broken me to find out. my parents took the "open adoption," approach and have always encouraged healthy contact with my birth family and a realistic view of the circumstances; how many times young couples find themselves pregnant and it isnt anyones fault, and it isnt for lack of love, its just a matter of maturity & ability to provide for a child. in fact my parents raised me with the knowledge that the act of putting me up for adoption was in itself a tremendous act of selflessness and love and i am endlessly grateful for that. i think they mustve told me when i was between 3&5 because i dont recall ever NOT knowing. thank you for taking a nuanced approach (as always) particularly towards children of adoption. i have a loving family but i do occassionally struggle emotionally w everything despite it!

Thanks for bringing this one to us Emma, I'm thankful that William survived and is now happy again with a wonderful wife and baby son, he is a true hero in raising the alarm to try and get help for his family, when the police greatly let him down. I hope that the monsters suffer greatly every day and are tormented at night by what they did to that beautiful family. You did them proud. 🙏❤

Indeed the police’s missed opportunity is super frustrating and infuriating, they could have saved them all if they just actioned immediately. Although I’m happy William is safe and has a new family I cannot imagine how hard it must have been for him to process all this and I’m sure he still thinks about this every minute of his life.

The compassion one feels for someone with any form of dysphoria shouldn't cause us to ignore the need for patients to receive treatment which helps them accept realty. A collective delusion is still a delusion which can never bring peace to a troubled mind. Lord have mercy on this evil and broken world.

I don't know how I somehow missed this episode when it was released. Work had been challenging and I put in many extra hours. And tonight when sleep wouldn't come, this episode came up in my feed.
The cases where families are held for extended periods of time and tortured disturb me most. The idea that your house - which should be your sanctuary - can be turned into a torture chamber by despicable and grotesquely diseased monsters is the ultimate nightmare for me.
As for Hayes now declaring he is trans and conniving to eventually be transferred to a women's facility truly make me feel that we are too concerned with the human rights of violent perpetrators who have shown ABSOLUTELY ZERO CONCERN for the human rights of their victims.
I hope he gets doused in petrol and set alight long before he gets transferred anywhere else. That would be justice.

Emma, well done for the way you presented this case...but I have to admit, this one got me angry, very angry. They have no right. Their brains and environment are different that's all. Some people go through life never been shown kindness so it warps their brain. Horror is what goes on in their brains. How do I know? Because I'm one of those people that have homicidal and suicidal ideation in my brain. Why I've never even been arrested or committed crimes? because I wasn't raised in poverty, because I've never abused substances, because I was raised in a mainstream school and a mainstream church, because people away from my abusive dad showed me kindness and a different choice/example, because I left home at 18 and because I was educated to a high standard. When children are abused, isolated, neglected and traumatised, you spin the Russian roulette wheel as to whether they become abusers/criminals/drug addicts or suicide victims. They say nature loads the gun but nurture pulls the trigger. Short of a brain scan, familial history and a regular evaluation by the psychiatrist and a psychotherapist, there's no way of knowing that you have a loaded gun. The solution is not to pull the trigger, don't abuse, isolate, neglect and traumatise children. Sometimes children get traumatised from something like an accident and that is why they need psychotherapy as soon as possible after the traumatic event. But being abused from ages 1 -18 is an ongoing traumatic event that changes your brain physically and the neuro pathways. Evil becomes normal. They are desensitized to it. They become less human and more animalistic and moral compass dissolves.
