If you wear glasses, prescription lens inserts are essential too. Yes, you can play with glasses on and risk scratching your headset lenses, but inserts are great. I've had 2 sets from VROptician (Q2 & Pico4) and a set from VRRock (Q3 VROptician weren't ready when I was). I use the AMVR facial gasket too. I started with a cheap 'Elite' style battery strap, which was pretty good and very comfortable, but got a BOBO M3 Pro when it popped up for just over 40 quid, because everyone gushed about it. The problem with it is that the battery is pish compared to my KKCOBVR battery for the Pico 4, so I've just ordered their Q3 Pro, which is a hybrid halo/elite strap and uses the same swappable 10,000mah battery as my Pico, all for just over £35, delivered. I do have hand straps, but I went for 3 quid fabric ones which do the job and are better than the AMVR ones I have on the Pico.
If you don't need to wear your glasses all the time, just while working, reading ect. Is it still an essential? Sorry if this is a stupid question lol, i got my glasses like 3 days ago.

Just a PSA for everyone, many if not all of the battery pack straps do not have a quest link cable passthrough feature. Meaning if you use the link cable instead of wifi you will find you cant use the battery pack at the same time
I think another really good accessory for the quest 3/2 is the INIU 5m Link Cable, its an active chargeing cable you connect the quest charger to and for people who want to play on PC VR with a quest headset its really good, for me it keeps both my quest 2 and 3 charged meaning you can just play for as long as you want without having to worry about battery life.
@@SilverRose45 iv had it for a few months and id say its a good cable, the quality is really good and it works really well, iv used it with a few headsets like the pico 4 and quest 2-3 and its been great, the only thing is to get the best out of it you need to use a fast charger for extra power since the quest 3 uses a lot of power the battery would still slowly drain with a normal use 5v 2a adaptor, so i got an anker 18w fast charger that can do 9v 2a and then it worked fine the headset stays charged and can play all day long.
@@ritikl4358 yeah unfortunately one good review can't outweigh the negative reviews on this I went ahead and bought the official link cable in a bundle when ordering my quest 3 because I have heard of it because I heard of it supporting usb c power delivery directly from a USB c port
while not essential for everybody, a carrying case still is a great accessory for the quest 3, not only is it safer to transport the headset in one, you can store it in there and protect it from light and dust
I went for the BoboVR S3 Pro strap. It's actually on its way right now. It is spendy af but I have had a good time with the M2 on my Quest 2 and I have seen a lot of good things about the S3. Also considering that I actually won my Quest 3, I'm only the $90 some-odd USD into my Quest 3 now. And I actually sold my Quest 2 to bankroll my strap upgrade. I am looking at the AMVR facial interface. I have heard that it can be somewhat of an issue with the S3 but I have seen other VR UA-camrs show how to get around the issues. But you are right, these are like the minimum you really need for the HMD. Though a good charging setup would be something that could follow in priority for the Quest 3. More batteries for the S3 would also be nice.
S3 is very adjustable and you could fit it. But i could not make it like old Bobovr F2 fans that clipped to face interface. But cooled forehead is nice too
I got the KKCOBVR version, which is literally the same headset aside the digital display and fan. But it’s so comfy, just as powerful with a removable (similar to Bobo VR S3 Pro), but half the price, it’s only $35 it’s wild
@@Vistortion in hindsight, that might be a better one to get, along with vented face interface. I found that Quest 3 is not so foggy as my Quest 2 with similar one was, so i had to get a fan.
@@vadnegru I get that, I’ve actually never had the issue (even in intense workout or physical activities) with fogging or sweating, I usually just get a bit of a glossy finish from my natural face oils on the silicone cover, but it’s a simple wipe with a semi damp cloth. I personally have been loving the fitment the KKCOBVR headstrap feels with the flush facial interface. Even ended up picking a “pro” or “open” facial interface for those MR games where you wanna feel one with the environment
#1: Headstrap: Comfort #2: Face Pad Cover: hygiene is important #3: Powerbank: Longer playtimes. Recommend 20+ Watt and 10,000MAH #4: Link Cable: If you have a Gaming PC. I recommend one that allows you to charge your Q3 using the block charger. #5: Knuckles Strap: Much more immersive and allows you to throw stuff in VR #6: Case: Travel protector $7: Lens Cover: Protect the lens from the sun and scratches
I'd go with 3: - The Kiwi back strap. Night and day difference in comfort. I had the Quest 2 one and 3D printed the adapter since Kiwi are a**holes and won't provide new adapters a month after they started to. - The AMVR facial Interface. Just ordered that as I'm getting annoyed with the stock strap and this video pushed me over the edge. - Some Active Straps like Meta's. I got Meta's as I like the metal hooks at the bottom, they inspire more confidence than plastic.
I run an S3 PRO by BOBOVR, it has a great battery that runs for quite a while and is hot swappable, so when I get my second battery; I'll be able to recharge the empty battery after switching it out and keep playing. You can't charge the battery while it's connected to the headset, but with an extra battery or two, you won't have to worry about keeping the charge full; as the batteries charge and keep the Quest's internal battery full. The adjustments are great, with hinges to adjust rear pad placement and the extension wheel to move the Quest 3 away from my face, before removing it. The fan is great too, it not only cools you down, but will help with motion sickness. I also use Blue Light lenses that work quite well as lens protectors, as you don't need to touch the originals plus it helps with fogging problems. Those will arrive in 3 days, I used ones on my Quest 2, so I'm not leaving those off my Quest 3. You technically don't need knuckle grips for the controllers, but they are a quick and easy way to attach the controllers to your hands and are less fiddly than the lanyards that come standard. So I got some of those that also absorb impacts and with the hard, clear frontal attachment for the headset, make it harder to damage either of them with accidental impacts. But as you said, a great headstrap is a necessity. I don't have any issues with the stock eye pad or the nose gap, I think the headset makes sure my face is aligned correctly. So for me the battery headstrap and Blue Light lenses are my two needed accessories. Great video Mate, as per usual...
+1 on both AMVR and Kiwi recommendations. 3rd thing you NEED if you happen to be a glasses wearer is prescription lens inserts. I recommend VR Wave, good price, good support, and the magnetic design is awesome. I actually don't have a problem with Meta's accessories being over-priced and underwhelming. Let's face it, they've gotta make some money somewhere, and they're sure not making any selling the headsets. Anybody that buys them deserves what they get, 5 minutes of research will get you a cheaper and better product.
Yeah I considered the kiwi, but the bobo hot swap battery . . . I play longer then any one battery on top of the Q3's battery will last, for any one that plays more then 4/5 hours at a time a hot swap battery is kind of required, only other ways I'm aware of is a large pocket battery with a high watt output and cable or plugged into a outlet.
Except bobo sucks for fitness over kiwi more fogging etc, amd there's wobbly feeling to it aswell, imo kiwi is the better option and if u ever need more playtime just hotswap eith a power and or save up for it if u exercise with vr
@@Eliaso_2000 I have actually quite enjoyed my Bobo S3 Pro VR strap. What "power" are you referring to though? If you mean just carry a battery pack on your person in a pocket, or on your neck? If so that's not all that appealing to a bunch of people.
Dude I tried many many vr accessories and I completely agree with you. 1. The best strap is the kiwi battery strap (yes much better than bobovr to me). 2. It was my birthday last month, and one thing I knew I wanted was that kiwi battery strap. I remember you talking about it a bunch in the past, so I wanted to say thanks for bringing it to my attention.
I liked the m3 mini headstrap from bobovr. It’s hinged like the kiwi strap but with the ability to upgrade for hotswapable batteries. And yes it’s fully compatible with the bobo battery dock upgrade kit.
The recommended head strap is amazing. So much more comfortable than the original. So awesome that I just ordered the recommended interface and subscribed. Thanks!

Great video! I bought the Bobo V2 Battery headstrap, and a cable (essentially link cable) but, it has a passthrough pcb so it can charge as well & never die for PCVR.
For me, the Q3 Elite battery strap (replaced for free with a newer post dec 2023 batch) is now is the only Q3 accessory I've needed. This perfectly balances my Q3 so I don't need to tighten the faceplate much to hold it in place. Also easy to put on/off like a hat without needing to adjust anything. For even longer runtimes I just plug in a 10000mahr 30w Romoss pack with a short battery lead to the headstrap's charge point. My only complaint is I do get a tiny bit of side light leakage, but not really noticeable when gaming.
I think that "prescription lens inserts" should rank higher than both a facial interface and head strap replacement, tbh. I can understand that you probably intended for this to be a more "universal" list that applies to everyone, and prescription lens inserts are obviously only useful for people who wear prescription glasses. But if you do wear glasses, lens inserts are an absolutely transformative accessory, they're basically necessary to make VR both comfortable and legible. And since the percentage of the population that wears glasses is +50% in most developed countries, that's not a small number of people.
One fun thing about halo style straps, totally feasible to just straight up run it Quest Pro style with no facial interface which is amazing in MR games, the near seamless transition between your actual environment and the augmented reality version of the same environment is sick
I can't play without knuckle strap and dropshiped ones cost under 10$. Also depending on where you store the headset, lens cover is a nice thing, especially if you take your quest somewhere else. Yes, you could use piece of cardboard that was in headset, but it's fiddly and could scratch lenses if pushed.
Have you tried the BOBOVR S3 pro? How do that and the Kiwi compare? I know it’s elite vs halo but just wondering if they’re both an upgrade or are pretty close?
I love the magnetic switchable batteries in my BOBOVR S3 PRO. Unlimited playtime. I have 3 batteries and the charging dock. Looks sick. It's also really comfy, though I did not try the Kiwi one.
The Kiwi headstrap is ok, but nothing more. I really like the KKCOBVR, which is like BoboVR but with working batteries that actually charge, and keep charged, the headset.
Great video! I have a question. Do you have wobbling issues with the AMVR Face Cover and KIWI Elite Strap combo? I bought the KIWI Elite Strap and still have the stock face cover from the Quest 3 and now I have wobbling issues and it hurts a bit because I need to make the head strap tight and I get the "VR Face" everytime. Is that all solved with the AMVR Face Cover and KIWI Elite Strap combo?

i might be one of a few people that the face cover actually fits XD and the nose gap is fine for me bc i dont have to go into pass through mode all the time
i got the kiwi design one for £24 off amazon(non battery as im just using it with a link cable for racing) and plan on maybe getting the bobovr s3 pro, though that one is double the price of this strap + the facial interface so not sure if its even worth upgrading
@@Bambeakz probably right, for my seat which is more like a regular car seat and not a bucket seat its working fine though, black friday i might go for the bobo though
Personally I use a Nexigo charging dock so I don't wear out the usb c port, plus the boboVR M3 upgraded to the better battery, the default mask is working for me but that's probably my next upgrade, though I will say the con with the dock is its finicky got to put it on just right, and the batteries it comes with for the controllers drain faster then the default, though I've never gotten them down to less then 30%, but I'm not worry about them ever dying on me, sense I put them on the charging dock when ever I put the headset on, at most I might switch to rechargeable normal batteries sense the plastic white of the Nexigo battery cover isn't a perfect match.
Almost 24hr later and the code still works 👍 Always avoided these types of apps due to subscription and DLC extra costs so I am interested how this will go 🤔
I just got a headstrap. Foam on the top strap, tons of adjusting points. (Edit. Battery not included...But still!!!!) Best of all!!!!! Non-sweat absorbing pad built into the thing. For 25 bucks. i think that controller grips with this valve knuckles like things are actually needed too for kids or elders
50 Pounds is equal to 323,07 BRL (Brazilian currency)
That's 21% of minimum wage here (and I'm not including the 92% importation fee)
Good video kid, with good advices 👍
Hope you got it built back, i had an 05 ej257 for 12 years, exploded the dccd carrier bearing😂 had to rebuild the entire transmission
"Why don't they ever listen to us? They need to hire someone athletic to help design these damn headsets."
my quest 3 with the charging dock comes aug 2nd ad i bought the bobo s3 head strap ad that is 10-15 days to ship but im still very excided
I’m still running the Quest 3 stock. Quest 2 got the 3rd party battery strap treatment but I haven’t felt the need to do that with the Q3 yet.
Just bought a meta quest 3 this morning, and bought the charging dock - but held off on the other things. Thank you so much for doing this video, first time dipping into VR, and it has definitely helped me!
the moment I saw the subaru I KNEW bro's gaskets died, rest in peace man... Great taste in cars tho
i bought those exact things when I got mine! I think I'm starting to get this vr thing.
Best headstrap in the industry is the bobovr s3 pro nothing else can beat it most comfortable and longest lasting battery i get 7 hrs with this battery strap and the built in fan is a plus
I am still using a vive premium audio headstrap I got back in 2020 that I've been using with different adapters as I changed headsets, UT works amazing and also to your ej inquiry, I'd say to just buy a new engine, I'm rebuilding two and the price of a used low mileage engine is around $1000 usd
The best part about the quest 3 are the controllers
and passthru
@@k670k Yep on Q2 I rarely wanted to use the pass through but after owning the Q3 yeah the pass through is very important.
Nah I'd take the pancake lenses over the new controllers every day of the week
@@KiRiTO72987 New controllers makes playing shooters a lot easier. Especially if you use a sniper rifle.
BobVR M3 mini is also awesome, very similar to Kiwi one you have. May be better for those in other countries depending on availability and price
I’ll take your recommendations for quest accessories, but won’t be putting beans on toast anytime soon.
My bread deserves better.
i might be one of a few people that the face cover actually fits XD and the nose gap is fine for me bc i dont have to go into pass through mode all the time
Those Vr earbuds are actually in partnership with meta lol
tysm for this i needed something new for my head set
Anti fog lens ate they worth it do they protect and lens and do the job?
i got the kiwi design one for £24 off amazon(non battery as im just using it with a link cable for racing) and plan on maybe getting the bobovr s3 pro, though that one is double the price of this strap + the facial interface so not sure if its even worth upgrading
I think the S3 pro is to bulky for a raceseat tbh. This one you can attach higher on the back of your head and I don't think the S3pro can do that?
I'm thinking of getting a quest 3, and if I do I'll 100% be getting those 2 accessories, except I'll prpb get the kiwi strap with the battery
Does quest 2 accseories fit quest 3 ? Example head strap?
Helpful and funny, subbed and bought Mindtopia with your link, have some beans on toast mate!
I have an extremely small head. Usually have to wear youth hats. Which one should i get?
Elite headstrong with battery USB c cord to a power bank (have 2 so you can swap) a protube a b haptic suit and a katwalk is all you need
Nice video, love the content. Keep it up 👍
I have waiting to buy accessories for my quest 3 for you to make a video about it. Great content
With Bobo halo headstrap, I don't use facial interface, works for the games I like.
9:19 is the battery pack version worth it over the regular?
If you want more play time

Almost 24hr later and the code still works 👍 Always avoided these types of apps due to subscription and DLC extra costs so I am interested how this will go 🤔
Got them both. Went for the Battery charging Kiwi since all the reviews on the quest 3 say battery sucks
I just got a headstrap. Foam on the top strap, tons of adjusting points. (Edit. Battery not included...But still!!!!) Best of all!!!!! Non-sweat absorbing pad built into the thing. For 25 bucks. Take my money for the pretty good headset. Fine. No biggie. I just use the thing for PC VR games I have on steam anyways. But HECK those accessories by them directly. Im not paying 70 bucks for a cable, AND or 70 bucks just to store the stupid thing in a very meh case 😭
for my quest 2 i have the kiwi elite strap. If i get a quest 3 will my kiwi strap connect to the quest 3 well, or is it a different model?
I kind of like my quest 3 charger strap and they provided a replacement when that battery thingy happened
Is the Kiwi elite strap the exact same as it was for the quest 2? Like if I were to buy a quest 3 could I just pop off the kiwi strap I have for the quest 2 and put it on the quest 3?
love you , thanks for advices
You should have done an EJ20 swap- less power, but it doesn’t have the head gasket problems
Subiewerks hoodie ;)
Also... this is why I went with an Ej207 hehehe
yea i still have a legacy quest 2 and cant upgrade because of how expensive the quest 3 is.. i have so many issues with the quest 2 like random unresponsiveness, and just in general being slower than my grandmothers laptop
We need a *quest 3 head straps ranked…* pls
holup the patreon plug was using the song overture i approve
How comfy is it cause i had some comfort problems with my quest 2
Can you post a link to the products you suggested
nah not the "BBL DRIZZY" haha
bro glazes his car but its constantly not working LMAO
The youtuber lifestyle 😅
We all know you hate money, you bought that Sooob-uWu
I made a review of all the Meta accessories day 3 of owning the quest 3 at launch and really the only one that was even slightly worth it was the charging cradle
Got the battery version of kiwi and am trying to 3d print a custom interface for me
quest should partner with kiwi design, only if kiwi design gets full branding and full design overview.
9:18 Here in Argentina, the cheapest Kiwi headstrap without battery is 280usd, and the one with the battery, 320usd 💀
Ohh and the Quest 3 cost me 1000usd -_-
British banter memes gonna be the end of me
#0:03:48 not the M3 squire,....
The new Bobo "S3" headstrap with 10000mah battery!....and that's all you need for Quest 3
....Also on the Bobo S3 headstrap you can "tilt" the front so the stock facecover fits better 🤷🏻♂️
