I have had the previous generation of the Osprey Porter for a few years now, and it is my Go To bag for travel. The Porter is very roomy, functional, and comfortable with some very well thought out design features. Osprey’s quality and warranty are fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase the Osprey Porter if you are looking for a one bag travel solution.
I have the farpoint 40, and when I pack I only pack 7kg max so half full. So when I'm travelling not flying I have plenty of free space for food, new toiletries ect. I've been travelling the world for 10 years now so I'm no newbie. With your bag ,you have to be full-on minimalist packing, and no wiggle room for onwards travel supply's.
Does the Farpoint 40 always get on as carry on? IM worried it looks a little too large. Also I wish they did the farpoint with a proper zipper front pocket like this bag on this video! The stuff it pocket is stupid cant even fit headpohones in a case in the front :(
@chrisd6193 fair points, I've done the world and had no problems, zips are fine . Don't forget all equipment is temporary but my backpack should last longer than me 😂
Thank you so much for this review. Could you measure the inside big compartment to see if a paper watercolor block with 41 x 31 cm can fit in it? I can't find "real" dimensions anywhere! Thank you.
If the top stash pocket is full, approximately how many small to medium packing cubes can you fit in the main compartment without it being stuffed? Thanks
Im 6ft 245lbs Muscular Build, so i could probably get away with a 40L Farpoint or a 46L Porter as a one bag option. You must be pretty tiny cuz even that 30L looks pretty big on you. Lol Perfect size for you though! 👍

I really wish Osprey would start adding strap keepers to their bags to reduce all the excess strap dangle.
yes, I agree, but it is a great bag

Thank you for the review! Do you know if there's a way to hang it over a luggage handle?
I'm not sure, will have to check and will get back to you
@@OurHonestReviews2024 Thank you for your reply! I finally figured you just use the compression straps. It makes sense.

I keep coming back to this bag… I can’t find it anywhere online.. how long is the waist strap at maximum?
I'll have to get back to you on this one
Great bag. I am aiming for it God willing.
It is abosolutely amazing
One question please...Can the lumbar harness be removed? Thanks a lot
I have the previous version. It can be tucked away like the strap but not removed
Measurements? Thx
How tall are you? I am 5’2. Do you think this would be a right size for me? Thank you so much for this very well made video!

Right on
@@OurHonestReviews2024 I just got the Oakley Kitchen Sink.
It's about 35L. I think it's perfect. But I might still get a Farpoint in the near future.
Functionality? It’s just function. A function. 🤷🏼♂️
