Nice review - as far as I know yours is the only review of the Proxima 30. Osprey calls it a campus bag, but it’s actually a versatile travel bag as well. Would be interested in seeing this bag vs the Porter 30 for minimalist travel.
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! I agree it’s a really solid minimal travel bag, I haven’t had a chance to check out the porter yet but seems like a good alternative to that one
A few days ago I've decided I wanted to get a nice bag and found your channel, by far the best backpack reviewer! Absolutely love your videos! I'd really like a review of the Fjallraven Skule 28!
Bought this bag in night shift blue color because of ur video. Mainly using it for carrying 12.9 inch iPad Pro as EDC. The zip is a bit sturdy and difficult to open at first few days. Different compartments’ zips also feel different and required different force. There r two small robes on both side on the front compartment u didn’t mention in video. I experienced back pain issues with carrying the 12.9 inch tablet with my other Thule bag but with this bag I feel ease and secure. The good thing is the bag itself is so lightweight as a 30L capacity bag.
Great vid, it would be nice to see a comparison between the Proxima and the The North Face Borealis. I need an edc backpack for travelling as well and I was orientend on the Borealis, but this one looks interesting
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! The Borealis is a solid alternative to this one, I do think the Proxima can hold more and I prefer the pocket layout, but I think the harness and laptop protection on the Borealis are better (the north surge might be another good one to compare to the Proxima)
@@dannypacks Thanks for your great reviews. Some TNF reviews said the new version of Recon went downhill in quality, particularly the harness part. Is that the case? I am choosing between the Osprey and TNF recon.
Great review as always! I have the TNF Surge (2020) and it's my favorite bag when travelling. I do think the pockets are a bit overkill (I'd rather have fewer but more spacious pockets). Do you think the Proxima is an upgrade or just a "sideways" replacement? Also in terms of breathability, how does the Airscape compare to TNF?
Thank you for watching! Both will be really solid options, I might lean a bit more toward the recon due to the additional comfort / support offered by the harness
esta bonita, esta más barata que la nebula 32, pero se extraña las correas laterales cuando guardo las botellas de agua las mallas de los bolsillos quedan algo sueltas y las correas eran perfectas para que no se muevan las botellas
Thank you for watching! I think it depends on how much you typically pack, for a minimal packer I think this could work for a while but for if you don’t pack as minimally it might feel tight for a longer trip
Thank you for watching and for the suggestion! I haven’t had a chance to check the nebula out just yet, I’ll have to try to get my hands on one to test :)
Thank you for watching! I would say the arcane feels more rugged and the harness feels more supportive but the harness and back panel on this one are more breathable and the bag feels a little lighter overall
Thank you for watching! I haven’t had a chance to check out the Comet yet, but they look pretty similar overall as far as capacity, just some differences in pocketing and the comet has a handle on the front vs the compression on the Proxima
Thank you for watching! I think it can depend on the specific type of laptop but in general yes a 17in laptop could fit and the sleeve is pretty spacious overall
Thank you for watching! Both are really great overall, I prefer the weight, pocket layout and laptop protection on the próxima, but the harness and build on the recon feel more rugged

This review was super helpful and the bag looks fantastic.
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful!:)
I don't understand why they don't produce one-color versions.
The colorful stripes draw too much attention
@@rafadudek32 I ordered mine in the solid color night shift blue and it looks fantastic on their website
@@xNickTheBrickx it's not available in European Union countries
@@rafadudek32 darn, I'm sorry
That bags £90/$100
That's a heck of a lot of bag for that money.
I'm biased, I ❤ Osprey.
nice bag...something to check out in person
Thank you for watching and I agree, definitely a solid bag!:)

Hi love the review. I didn't see what it was like not fully packed ?
May I know where you get this color? I can’t see it on the osprey official site

Also suitable for your snowboard
Thank you for watching and sounds like another good use case for the straps!:)

hey there. thanks for the helpful review! would you personally pick the TNF recon or osprey proxima 30L for a student?

How is the build and comfort compared to arcane xl day assuming I prefer the look of the parsec?
Thank you for watching! I would say the arcane feels more rugged and the harness feels more supportive but the harness and back panel on this one are more breathable and the bag feels a little lighter overall
How is this compared to Comet 30? Will love to see one review on Comet :) thank you

@@dannypacks Thanks for your kind response. Is Comet 30 able to stand up right?
Would the laptop sleeve fit a 17inch laptop comfortably?
Thank you for watching! I think it can depend on the specific type of laptop but in general yes a 17in laptop could fit and the sleeve is pretty spacious overall
do you have a written review on this bag?
Thank you for watching! Unfortunately I do not have written reviews, but an interesting idea to consider for the future!
Does it have a waist belt?
Thank you for watching! No waist belt on this one:)
Sorry for the late comment, is the front chest buckle removable?
Thank you for watching! It looks like you could potentially pop it off but it might be difficult to get it back on the straps
Any thoughts on Proxima vs North Face Recon?
Thank you for watching! Both are really great overall, I prefer the weight, pocket layout and laptop protection on the próxima, but the harness and build on the recon feel more rugged
@@dannypacksThank you for your reply! :)
you should really do your own measurements that way people know what is realistic
Thank you for watching and for the suggestion! I’ll have to consider that for future videos!
Right...a student will have enough funds to afford a 120 dollar backpack. This is how much Osprey is disconnected with their audience.
I’m a student with enough funds…
Seems pretty cheap when you consider you can use it everyday for your entire duration of your schooling.
