DJI Mic 2 - Paired w/ DJI Action 4 - Bluetooth Connection Test

- I have been waiting for this new microphone system since it's release. The DJI Action 4 has been a great improvement to my videos. The only problem, has been the audio. The Action 4 isn't blocking out enough of the wind noise while I'm riding.
The Mic 2 will hopefully improve that. I have been testing it for a couple of weeks now. I am very impressed with it so far. I am going to be doing more testing and videos with this system. Stay tuned.

Sounds great without noise cancellation. I also like that I hear a little bit of wind noise. Its realistic.

What the mount do you use to attach the DJI Mic 2 to the smallrig?
Hi, I would like to use the DJI Mic 2 for motovlogging, but I have a question. Do I just pair the transmitter (mic) with my Insta360 X4, and that's it, or do I also need to connect the DJI receiver to the X4? I read that you get worse audio quality without the receiver. Also, with the transmitter inside the helmet, would it be better to connect a lavalier mic to it? Thanks
I do not know if the Mic 2 will pair with the X4. It probably will. I would recommend just connecting the Mic 2 via bluetooth to it. No hassles with wires. If they Mic 2 will fit inside your helmet, you probably won't need a lav mic. If it is too big, the lav should work fine. The fewer wires the better.

I use that to mount the microphone to face forward.

I can’t get my head around one thing: how do I know that the mic is on or off the noise cancellation mode when connected with Bluetooth to the action 4?
I did another video with these two items. When you connect the Mic to the A4, a small pop up screen will appear and a green bar across the top of the screen. When you are connected via Bluetooth, the light on the mic should be blue. If the noise cancelation is on, it will be yellow.

Did you change the gain, if so what level?
All of the video with the Mic 2 was set at 0 Gain. Doing more testing right now with the Gain.
Since you have both the Osmo Action 4 and the DJI Mic 2, I would like to ask you two questions. First, if you can record the sound internally on the DJI Mic 2 while it is connected via Bluetooth to the Osmo Action 4. (I think so, but I have read contradictory comments in this regard). And second, is there a possibility that on the slopes of a
audio of the video clip that the DJI Osmo Action 4 records with the DJI Mic 2 connected have separate channels, one with the sound of the DJI Mic 2 and the other with the sound of the internal microphones of the camera itself? Or if you connect the DJI Mic 2, can you only have the sound of this wireless microphone recorded? The option of having both audios in recording and being able to separate the channels in editing would be absolute perfection 😅. Thank you for your time and dedication in the videos. Greetings!
You can internally record while it's connected. I'm pretty sure once you connect the mic 2, the A4's mics are off. Also, you can only connect one Mic 2 transmitter at a time. So no stereo sound.
@@uosocal Thanks for your answer. I assumed it would be as you say but it was to be confirmed. Recording internally is how I currently do it with my Instamic (exceptional microphones too) or with the DJI Mic with its first version. But hopefully the option to record both channels on the camera will be taken into account in a future update.
Noise Cancelation OFF sounds best for me watching on a phone
