Thank you Amy! I am probably around your parents age (almost 55 years old), and a black American woman, and I LOVE your channel! Despite being from different generations, different nationalities, and different races I feel as though I can relate to you. You are so warm, engaging, and informatve. I'm learning so much about authentic Chinese cuisine. You are living the adverturous life that I wish I had chosen. I grew up in a small town, and taught myself how to use chopsticks when I was 12 years old in 1980. I have always been interested in Asian cuisine, but I now especially love it because I developed lactose intolerance in my 30s. I enjoy Asian cuisines (Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean...still learning about others), because there are a multitude of dairy free options. Warm regards! Angie
You can go on forever trying all the different types of Asian food including Indian, Japanese, Malaysian, Filipino, Indonesia, Central Asian food (Arab influence), Singaporean, and the list goes on and on. They all have similarities but they all have there own unique taste and flare. Enjoy your Asian food adventure. 😊
@@dannychu2014 I plan to spend the rest of my life exploring them all! I know that I will probably not touch them all, but that is what intrigues me. 😊
only a few words from your dad about the trip that spending time with his kids have already made water in my eyes . only a dad would understand how sincerely he meant it.
Such a wonderful trip and ended with a great meal! My editing skills aren’t as good or as fast as Blondie’s so stay tuned for my blog from Italy….. coming soon ❤
I loved thissssss. I can also honestly say that as a viewer I really appreciate that you didn't film everything, although I am sure you have other things you might show us along the way. I know that there is much we don't see anyway, but I like knowing that the people I enjoy watching are having time to be private and not catered to us.
Love it, your mom and dad holding hands.the energy is sooooo positive!!I traveled to Europe for a month, that’s when I realized that I craved Chinese food so much, I realized my favorite food is Chinese food. The Chinese never waste a death of an animal, they eat everything just like nature. Mom and dad looks younger after the trip. I love your video!!
Wow I really love how your parents are so supportive of what you do and also willing to be part of the food adventure. Not many can handle blood and offal but you guys took it like a champ
18:48 this is the most loving hug ever!!! Thank you for showing us your journey~ it's been so wonderful but I am ready for more food adventures in China! Love your parents and Bec too!
how interesting is it that you can find proper sichuan cuisine in rome, italy! loved this video, hoping you got to tour chengdu with the restaurant manager!
This series was sooo good! I hope you get a chance to do a bit of a Q&A on the journey - prep, fave thing you packed, thing you wish you didn’t pack/left behind, pro-tips with you and the fam, I think that would be awesome. I’m so glad you got the chance to just be in the moment with your family and not vlog for a bit, it must have been so wonderful to focus on the walk and them for a couple of weeks. Looking forward to the new Chengdu stuff with your new friend!
OMG that was just the most amazing destiny. to meet people like that. just would never happen if youu dont put yourself out there. love your content and energy Amy!! Sad the series was a bit short but def happy for more content. Take care!
Your family is a hit! Great video!! Live in Adelaide... accompanied my father to his ancestral village in Hainan in 1994... and ate village chicken rice. Also had Hainanese coffee, which was exactly the same as Malaysia where I grew up, but only better. Xie xie nie men!
Italy is one of my fav travel destinations, so good to see your family had an amazing experience there! I might and this to my bucket list when kids are old enough to do this. Your family should do a trip together when they visit China. Can't wait see more new China contents.
What a great end to a long and painful at times but spiritually rewarding walking adventures. Dianna might give Peter some competition as your foodie guide! :D
Loved watching your Italy videos but am excited to see you back in China! ♥ Would love to see you and the restaurant manager do a video together in Chengdu! She seems so lovely and friendly.
Love your videos as I get to live vicariously through you. Your bubbly and genuine personality is a joy to watch. Also, I'm always super impressed on how you've immersed yourself into the Chinese culture. What a wonderful trip with your family!♥
Your dad is such a sweet, good guy.....Like my dad. His words made me miss mine. Take advantage of as much time together as you can, cause there is an end point, and you will be so thankful for all the memories you've created!
Such a wholesome video! I was smiling from start to finish. Looking forward to more Chinese Food Adventures ⟨™⟩ but sad to say bye to your funny parents. Hope they can join you again soon.
Your parents are such lovely people 😊 I’ve really enjoyed watching your journey - and totally understand that you had to take a break from vlogging! Sometimes you just need to live in the moment. Can’t wait to see your videos from Chengdu! P. S. Dianna’s mom looks sooo youthful!
Even though we missed u here on utube, we totally understand and love that u took time off and had some private and intimate time with your family!! 👍 And…. Sooo happy to see u back!!! 🤗
It is worth to have a long walk to Rome, and trying Sichuan cuisine is absolutely rewarding, along with pastas and pizzas too. Happy Father’s Day to your father, Miss Amy, stay hydrated.
Subbed and liked! You, my spice girl are how I wished my exes were when I went traveling! You go girl !!! Follow your taste buds and I love your language skills!
What a lovely family video we've been missing! Your dad said that as parents became older, they got fewer opportunities to be with their children. This made me miss my parents who I haven't seen for 3 yrs so much! Loving your parents!🥰
so happy to see all your family in the video, you should take your parents to China, they will love it again ! love form Aussie land ! I am going home to Shenyang in Jan 2023. I cant wait.
part of that walk with your family looked like the Via Appia Antica. My wife and I just did it and rode electric bikes there this past April. Enjoy all your shows Amy.👍
you literally have the most sincere channel on the internet! i love your family so much every time i watch them i tear up with how sweet you all are. i would love someone to answer a culinary question i have: every time i travel in asia i love the tofu soooo much- firm, soft, boiled, fried, plain however it is it's always delicious- then i come to california and go to asian markets to buy my tofu and it's always got this distinct soy flavor that's kinda bitter and yuck! Why? I am a great cook and all the other parts of the meal turn out super great but the tofu always tastes nasty. anyone know why?
I love the new technology products you showcase for your viewers on your UA-cam channel you demonstrated it so very well love it !!❤❤❤ Amazing to see you eating Chinese Chengdu food in Italy !!
Oh, I'm surprised that this series is aleady over. But I get it, it was mostly a family thing and you weren't maybe filming this much ratheer than absorbing and sucking all of your experiences in. It seems it was a very wholesome trip. Your parents are great.
Very nice. One of your best videos. It's not an opportunity that everybody can do it, in terms of time, money, and most importantly, the stamina. Well done.
Happy 30th birthday! Our Amy is now thirty and flirty! Marching on Rome like Mussolini is definitely a great way to celebrate this occasion lol Your dad's expression as he is eating the duck blood is priceless.
I could tell by looking of your parent, how much they enjoyed the time with you if this trip, hope they could go to China sometime to do some more videos with you.
